Ciao carissimi amici e lettori,

È arrivato il momento per l'appuntamento con  "solo cose belle" e confesso che l'entusiasmo era troppo forte per poterlo placare. Chi mi segue anche sui social, avrà intuito che sono in vacanza e quindi ha sicuramente capito dalle mie storie da che parti sto girovagando. Non ho ancora finito le vacanze e non ho ancora strutturato un post viaggi ma condividerò anche sul mio blog, l'entusiasmo dei primi giorni quando prima di arrivare a destinazione (scoprirete presto quale), ci siamo fermati a Napoli e sulla costiera amalfitana.  Confesso di aver già visitato da turista, questi posti esattamente 10 anni fa, quando abbiamo ammirato castelli maestuosi, abbiamo fatto il giro con il bus panoramico e passeggiato a volontà sul lungo mare napoletano, amalfitano e sorrentino. Stavolta non essendo in grado di ripetere il comportamento precedente, ci siamo fermati nei punti panoramici, abbiamo indugiato nell'ammirare la distesa infinta del mare e i bordi sinuosi e colorati delle costiere amalfitane e abbiamo vissuto il tramonto sulla spiaggia con davanti un bicchiere profumato e piatti gustosi.

The time has come for the appointment with "only beautiful things" and I confess that the enthusiasm was too strong to be able to placate it.  Those who also follow me on social media will have guessed that I'm on vacation and therefore have certainly understood from my stories where I am wandering around.  I have not finished my holidays yet and I have not yet structured a travel post but I will also share on my blog the enthusiasm of the first days when, before arriving at our destination (you will soon find out which one), we stopped in Naples and on the Amalfi coast.  I confess that I have already visited these places as a tourist exactly 10 years ago, when we admired majestic castles, we took the tour with the panoramic bus and walked at will along the Neapolitan, Amalfi and Sorrento sea promenades.  This time not being able to repeat the previous behavior, we stopped at the panoramic points, we lingered in admiring the endless expanse of the sea and the sinuous and colorful edges of the Amalfi coast and we experienced the sunset on the beach with a fragrant glass and delicious dishes in front of us.

Napoli / Naples

La vera pizza si mangia a Napoli / Naples is where one can eat true pizza

Il Napoli che potete vedere qui è stato fotografato dalle colline del Vomero dove abbiamo anche mangiato la miglior pizza mai assaggiata fin'ora. Sia il panorama, sia la pizza ci hanno lasciati letteralmente senza parole. Rispetto a 10 anni fa, ho trovato Napoli molto cambiata in meglio. Il lungomare è molto più curato, pieno di bar pittoreschi e turisti curiosi.

The Naples that you can see here was photographed from the hills of Vomero where we also ate the best pizza ever tasted so far.  Both the view and the pizza literally left us speechless.  Compared to 10 years ago, I found Naples much changed for the better.  The promenade is much nicer, full of pottoresque bars and curious tourists.

Per quanto riguarda la costiera amalfitana, se 10 anni fa i locali erano radi ed i turisti pochi, questa volta abbiamo notato un boom turistico. Ci è stato praticamente impossibile fermarci ad Amalfi o Positano e per questo motivo me la sono goduta  solo dall'auto ma ho avuto l'occasione di fare lunghe e bellissime passeggiate a Minori e Sorrento dove c'erano più posti di parcheggio liberi. Una piccola nota acida, i posti di parcheggio per disabili erano pochi e tutti pieni ma nonostante fossero tutti occupati,  non ho visto in giro sedie a rotelle, stampelle o deambulatori oltre al mio che sfortunatamente restava in macchina con me. Le foto scattate in queste città le ha fatte mio marito mentre io attendevo in macchina con l'ansia che la polizia non ci multasse per i 5 minuti di sosta in posti non adibiti a questo. Nonostante ciò, ho potuto ammirare comunque le bellissime città, gli edifici in stile romantico che hanno ispirato tante storie d'amore e tanti film. Fortunatamente per poter ammirare il panorama dall'alto hanno creato dei magnifici punti panoramici dove poter scendere, ascoltare il suono dolce del mare, respirare l'aria fresca e godersi la vista mozzafiato.

As for the Amalfi coast, if 10 years ago the locals were few and the tourists few, this time we noticed a tourist boom.  It was practically impossible for us to stop in Amalfi or Positano and for this reason I only enjoyed it from the car but I had the opportunity to take long and beautiful walks in Minori and Sorrento where there were more free parking spaces.  A little sour note, the parking spaces for disable people were few and all full but although they were all occupied, I did not see wheelchairs, crutches or walkers around other than mine which unfortunately stayed in the car with me.  The photos taken in these cities were made by my husband while I was waiting in the car with the anxiety that the police would not fine us for the 5 minutes of parking in places not used for this.  Despite this, I was still able to admire the beautiful cities, the romantic-style buildings that have inspired so many love stories and so many films.  Fortunately, in order to admire the panorama from above, they have created magnificent panoramic points where you can go down, listen to the sweet sound of the sea, breathe the fresh air and enjoy the breathtaking view.

Oggi vorrei recensire un prodotto per l’igiene, un’innovazione per la detersione del corpo. Il prodotto che vorrei recensire oggi è Silk Mousse Rabarbaro & Lampone del noto marchio Nivea. Nella mia vita ho usato molto spesso i prodotti di questo marchio per la detersione e non solo ma questo prodotto è diventato subito un mio preferito quando si tratta di prodotti per la doccia grazie alla sua consistenza di soffice mousse, alle sue qualità detersive e anche alla sua fragranza molto delicata.

Informazioni dal produttore: Questo prodotto con la sua formula innovativa deterge delicatamente la pelle e conferisce nutrimento e idratazione rispettando il ph naturale della pelle. Grazie ai suoi estratti di seta offre una sensazione di morbidezza e un’esperienza sensoriale nuova.

Packaging: bombola spray di latta contenente 200 ml di prodotto

Consistenza e colore: soffice mousse di colore bianco

Fragranza: leggera e delicatissima fragranza fruttata

Avvertenze: recipiente sotto pressione, tenere lontano da fonti di calore e combustione anche dopo l’uso, non perforare il flacone, non esporre a temperature oltre i 50° e conservare fuori dalla portata dei bambini. Contiene 7% componenti infiammabili.

Valutazione personale: Inizio la mia recensione con la cosa che ho apprezzato di più cioè la capacità di detergere la pelle senza seccarla. Per questo motivo ho usato meno spesso la crema corpo idratante senza avere ripercussioni. Non consiglio non usare affatto una lozione o una crema corpo idratante ma nel caso in cui non avete tempo una sera oppure siete troppo stanche, usando questo prodotto io ho potuto saltare occasionalmente questo momento. La sua consistenza di mousse è molto delicata e offre una vera coccola durante un momento semplice e quotidiano. La sua fragranza delicata avvolge i sensi senza risultare invadente. Un altro aspetto che ho apprezzato è il fatto che grazie alla sua consistenza e al modo in cui viene erogata, ho usato meno prodotto di quanto solitamente mi serve quando uso un bagnodoccia normale e perciò mi è bastato molto più a lungo. Reputo quindi che abbia un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Forse alcuni di voi potrebbero avere dei problemi con l’erogazione del prodotto e per questo motivo consiglio di agitare molto bene il tubo prima di premere per erogare la mousse. Avrei preferito un INCI più green ma finché non troverò un altro prodotto di questa tipologia con una composizione migliore, continuerò ad acquistare Silk Mousse Rabarbaro e Lampone Nivea.

PRO: consistenza piacevolissima di avvolgente mousse, fragranza delicata e non invadente, detersione delicata rispettando il naturale PH della pelle, come risultato la pelle rimane setosa, soffice ed idratata, buon rapporto qualità/prezzo, confezione travel friendly

CONTRO: contiene PEG e altri ingredienti discutibili, alcune persone potrebbero trovare difficile agitare adeguatamente il flacone

Conclusione: Un prodotto utile a coloro che cercano un prodotto delicato per la doccia, che pulisca senza seccare la pelle e che preferiscono la consistenza mousse.

In my life I have used the products of this brand very often for cleansing and not only but this product has immediately become a favorite of mine when it comes to shower products thanks to its texture of soft mousse, its detergent qualities and also to its very delicate fragrance.

Information from the manufacturer: This product with its innovative formula gently cleanses the skin and gives nourishment and hydration while respecting the natural pH of the skin. Thanks to its silk extracts, it offers a sensation of softness and a new sensory experience.

Packaging: tin spray can containing 200 ml of product

Texture and color: soft white mousse

Fragrance: light and very delicate fruity fragrance

Price: between 2 and 3 € approximately based on promotions and discounts

P.A.: 12 months

How to use: Shake the bottle very well before use, keep the package straight and dispense the desired amount in the palm of your hand or on the sponge. Apply the resulting mousse on the wet body and massage gently.

Personal evaluation: I start my review with the thing I liked the most, which is the ability to cleanse the skin without drying it. For this reason I used the moisturizing body cream less often without having any repercussions. I don't recommend not using a moisturizing lotion or body cream at all but in case you don't have time one evening or you are too tired, using this product I could occasionally skip this moment. Its mousse texture is very delicate and offers a real pampering during a simple and everyday moment. Its delicate fragrance envelops the senses without being intrusive. Another aspect that I appreciated is the fact that thanks to its texture and the way it is dispensed, I used less product than I usually do when using a normal body wash and therefore it lasted me much longer. I therefore believe that it has an excellent quality / price ratio. Perhaps some of you may have problems with dispensing the product and for this reason I recommend shaking the tube very well before pressing to dispense the mousse. I would have preferred a greener INCI but until I find another product of this type with a better composition, I will continue to buy Silk Mousse Rhubarb and Raspberry Nivea.

PRO: very pleasant consistency of enveloping mousse, delicate and non-agressive fragrance, delicate cleansing respecting the natural PH of the skin, as a result the skin remains silky, soft and hydrated, good quality / price ratio, travel friendly packaging

CONS: Contains PEG and other questionable ingredients, some people may find it difficult to shake the bottle properly

Conclusion: A useful product for those looking for a gentle shower product, which cleans without drying the skin and who prefer the mousse texture.

Il Capitano e la Gloria di Dave Eggers - recensione letteraria / The Captain and the Glory by Dave Eggers - book review

Oggi vorrei parlarvi di un libro che mi è stato consigliato da un amico, un libro che ho letto con piacere e interesse. Il libro in questione è Il Capitano e la Gloria dello scrittore, editore e saggista americano Dave Eggers. Il libro più famoso di questo scrittore è il romanzo “L’Opera struggente di un formidabile genio”, finalista al premio Pulitzer per il genere non – fiction, libro che probabilmente leggerò molto presto in quanto il breve romanzo che mi fu prestato, ha svegliato il mio interesse per le creazioni di questo autore. Il Capitano e la Gloria è una breve novella scritta con acuta ironia, struggente intensità e rimarcabili stilizzazioni letterarie. Dave Eggers definisce Il Capitano e la Gloria una satira allegorica della amministrazione Trump. Le descrizioni sono accurate e ci permettono di identificare con facilità Ivanka Trump nei panni della figlia del capitano, Vladimir Putin nei panni del Pallido, Stephen Miller come la voce nella bocchetta e Kim Jong Un nelle vesti del Mollaccione.

A parere mio questo libro potrebbe benissimo rispecchiare la classe politica di tanti altri paesi dove la peculiarità del personaggio supera la qualità e la preparazione dell’uomo, negli occhi degli elettori. Egger illustra magistralmente la facilità con cui l’elettorato cade preda a individui carismatici, individui che parlano la loro lingua, che dicono tutto quello che li saltano in mente, personaggi grezzi e volgari che alimentano in loro la speranza falsa che se un tale individuo ci è riuscito, potrebbero benissimo farcela anche loro. Individui incostanti, che cambiano idea in base a quello che cercano di ottenere, individui impreparati, individui che promettono il cambiamento come obbiettivo e non come ricercato e ben strutturato mezzo per arrivare ad un comune traguardo, sono stati fonte d’ispirazione per Eggers quando ha creato il Capitano. Nonostante anche la descrizione fisica e attitudinale ricorda inequivocabilmente il presidente Trump il modo in cui il suo personaggio si relaziona all’elettorato è facilmente rilevabile in tantissimi capi di stato o potenziali leader mondiali. È vero che Eggers critica il nepotismo, le decisioni insensate, le promesse non mantenute, la politica di intolleranza e le aggressioni che hanno caratterizzato l’amministrazione Trump ma allo stesso tempo la sua storia rappresenta un avvertimento per tutti coloro che sono ammagliati da personaggi simili. L’autore tratta con lo stesso pragmatismo e incisività anche le entità che guardano la situazione con passività senza intervenire per porre fine alla catena di azioni insensate. 

Questo libro è stata una bella scoperta, intrigante e affascinante, si legge facilmente e fa riflettere. Nel caso abbia risvegliato anche il vostro interesse, vi consiglio di non aspettare troppo.

Today I would like to talk to you about a book that was recommended to me by a friend, a book that I read with pleasure and interest. The book in question is The Captain and the Glory by American writer, editor and essayist Dave Eggers. The most famous book of this writer is the novel "A heartbreaking work of staggering genius", a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for the non - fiction genre, a book that I will probably read very soon because the short novel that was loaned to me awoke my interest for the writings of this author. The Captain and the Glory is a short story written with acute irony, bewildering intensity and remarkable literary stylizations. Dave Eggers calls The Captain and Glory an allegorical satire of the Trump administration. The descriptions are accurate and allow us to easily identify Ivanka Trump in the role of the captain's daughter, Vladimir Putin in the role of the Pale, Stephen Miller as the voice in the mouthpiece and Kim Jong Un as the Mollaccione.

In my opinion this book could very well reflect the political class of many other countries where the peculiarity of the character exceeds the quality and preparation in the eyes of of the voters. Egger masterfully illustrates the ease with which the electorate falls prey to charismatic individuals, individuals who speak their language, who say everything they can think of, crude and vulgar characters who feed in them the false hope that if such an individual succeeded, they could very well do it too. Inconstant individuals, who change their mind based on what they try to obtain, unprepared individuals, individuals who promise change as a goal and not as a sought-after and well-structured means to reach a common goal, were a source of inspiration for Eggers when he created Captain. Despite also the physical and aptitude description unequivocally reminiscent of President Trump, the way in which his character relates to the electorate is easily detectable in many heads of state or potential world leaders. It is true that Eggers criticizes the nepotism, foolish decisions, broken promises, politics of intolerance and the aggressions that have characterized the Trump administration but at the same time his story represents a warning to all those who are entangled by similar characters. The author also treats with the same pragmatism and incisiveness the entities that look at the situation with passivity without intervening to put an end to the chain of senseless actions.

This book was a beautiful discovery, intriguing and fascinating, it is easy to read and makes you think. In case it has also awakened your interest, I advise you not to lose any more time.

Solo Cose Belle - giugno 2021 / Only beautiful things - June 2021

Ciao carissimi lettori, 

Stavolta sono in ritardo con il consueto post dedicato alle cose belle di questo mese, non perché non ce ne siano ma perché sono stata molto impegnata e non ho trovato il tempo. Alcune delle cose belle di cui vorrei parlarvi sono fra quelle che mi hanno rubato il tempo, anzi, è meglio dire cose a cui ho dato la precedenza.  

Come prima cosa, visto che i cinema sono aperti e ci si può anche consumare pop corn e bibite dentro, io e mio marito abbiamo deciso di impegnare ogni fine settimana che non era già riservato ad altro, ad andare al cinema. Ci è capitato anche di fare la maratona e vedere quindi più film in successione. Per noi andare al cinema è rilassante, ci permette di ricaricarci le batterie e scoprire mondi nuovi e idee nuove. Ecco a voi alcuni dei film che abbiamo visionato. Sono curiosa se gli avete visti o se intendete andare a vederli?

For this time I am late with the usual post dedicated to the beautiful things of this month, not because there are none but because I have been very busy and I have not found the time.  Some of the beautiful things I would like to tell you about are among those that have stolen my time, and indeed, it is better to say things that I have given priority to.

First of all, since the cinemas are open and you can also consume popcorn and drinks inside, my husband and I decided to commit every weekend that was not already reserved for anything else, to go to the cinema. We also did it in marathon style and therefore saw more films in succession.  For us, going to the cinema is relaxing, it allows us to recharge our batteries and discover new worlds and new ideas.  Here are some of the movies we have seen.  I'm curious if you have seen them or if you intend to go and see them?

Un'altra bella cosa che mi ha tenuta molto impegnata questo mese è la fioritura delle mie orchidee. Da quasi due mesi (in un periodo non abituale per la loro fioritura),  diverse orchidee hanno inziare a fiorire. L'orchidea poi ha bisogno di attenzione, bisogna capire cosa le manca, curarla, assicurare loro la giusta illuminazione e la giusta quantità d'acqua e quindi sono un po' impegnative, soprattutto se sono tante, come nel mio caso. Alcune avevano già aperto i boccioli anche a gennaio, febbraio o marzo, alcune lo hanno fatto dopo una pausa di qualche anno. Siccome i miei conoscenti e amici nella vita reale non conoscono la mia passione per le orchidee, ho deciso di condividere con loro foto e storie su queste meravigliose creature. Voi come lettori di questo blog siete ormai familiarizzati con questo mio hobby ma condivido lo stesso anche con voi le ultime fioriture. Queste che vedete qui, sono fiorite da un po', quindi a presto cominceranno a perdere fiori e petali e siccome ne ho altre che iniziano a rinascere e che hanno già fatto avanti i loro steli, a breve ne vedrete delle altre.

Another beautiful thing that has kept me very busy this month is the blooming of my orchids.  For almost two months (in an unusual period for their flowering), several orchids have started to bloom. Therefore the orchid needs attention, you have to feel its needs, take care of it, ensure them the right lighting and the right amount of water and thus they are a bit demanding, especially if they are several, as in my case.  Some have already opened their buds even in January, February or March, some have done so after a pause of a few years.  As my acquaintances and friends in real life do not know my passion for orchids, I decided to share photos and stories about these wonderful creatures with them on social  network  channels. You as readers of this blog are now familiar with this hobby of mine but I share nevertheless the latest blooms with you too.  These you see here have been in bloom for a while, so soon they will begin to lose flowers and petals and since I have others that are starting to be reborn and that have already pushed their stems forward, you will soon see others.
