Ciao carissimi amici, 

Il mese scorso avevo condiviso le cose belle relative a quel mese, tutte in riferimento al brevissimo ma bellissimo viaggio che abbiamo intrapreso a Roma. Siccome le cose erano tante, troppe per un solo post, avevo deciso di dividerle e farbe due aeticoli. Perciò oggi vi parlerò del Mausoleo delle Fosse Ardeatine, la Piazza del Popolo e la Piazza Bucarest. Ovviamente, se mi state seguendo su Instagram, avete già visto i post e quindi siete già informati ma per coloro che non mi seguono su questo social network, faccio un breve riassunto per ognuno di questi monumenti.

Last month I shared the beautiful things related to that month, all in reference to the very short but beautiful trip we took to Rome. Since there were so many things, too many for a single post, I decided to divide them and make two sections. So today I will talk to you about the Mausoleum of the Fosse Ardeatine, the Piazza del Popolo and the Piazza Bucarest. Obviously, if you are following me on Instagram, you have already seen the posts and therefore you are already informed but for those who do not follow me on this social network, I will make a short summary for each of these monuments.

Le fosse Ardeatine o il sacrario-monumento nazionale - italiano

Questo mausoleo è dedicato alla commemorazione dell'eccidio di 335 civili e militari italiani, prigionieri politici, ebrei o detenuti comuni, trucidati a Roma il 24 marzo 1944 dalle truppe SS tedesche tramite colpi di pistola alla nuca, come rappresaglia per l'attentato partigiano di via Rasella dove rimasero uccisi 33 soldati occupanti tedeschi. Furono scelte le fosse ardeatine, delle cave antiche, per occultare i cadaveri degli uccisi. Nel monumento attuale, visitabile liberamente, si possono vedere le tombe, alcune rimaste ignote, le voragini create dagli esplosivi usati nel tentativo di nascondere il fatto come anche il museo dei cimeli che ripercorre la scoperta dell'eccidio, il lavoro per riportare le salme alla luce, identificarle, sepelirle a dovere e realizzare questo monumento.

The Fosse Ardeatine or the national memorial-shrine - english

This mausoleum is dedicated to the commemoration of the massacre of 335 Italian civilians and soldiers, political prisoners, Jews or common prisoners, killed in Rome on March 24, 1944 by German SS troops with gunshots to the back of the head, in retaliation for the partisan attack on Via Rasella where 33 German occupying soldiers were killed. The Fosse Ardeatine, ancient quarries, were chosen to hide the bodies of those killed. In the current monument, which can be visited freely, you can see the tombs, some of which remain unknown, the sinkholes created by the explosives used in an attempt to hide the event, as well as the museum of memorabilia that retraces the discovery of the massacre, the work to bring the bodies to light, identify them, bury them properly and create this monument.

La Piazza del Popolo - italiano

Questa piazza è una delle più famose piazze di Roma e fu costruita nel 1818 sotto la supervisione dell'architetto Giuseppe Valadier su una superficie di 17 100 m2 ai piedi del Pincio. I monumenti d'interesse nella Piazza del Popolo sono: Basilica di Santa Maria in Montesanto (1675), Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Miracoli (1678), conosciute anche come le "chiese gemelle", la Basilica di Santa Maria del Popolo del XI secolo che ospita dipinti e sculture di grandissimo valore di Caravaggio, Raffaele Sanzio, Carracci e affreschi di Pinturicchio. Altri monumenti importanti sono la Porta del Popolo, che delimita la Piazza del Popolo dalla Piazza Flaminia, l'Obelisco Flaminio, realizzato parzialmente nel 1300 a.C. in Egitto dal faraone Seti I, dedicato al dio sole Ra e portato a Roma nel 10 a.C per volere dell'imperatore Ottaviano Augusto, la Fontana della dea Roma situata ai pendici del Pincio e la Fontana di Nettuno.

This square us one of the most famous squares in Rome was built in 1818 under the supervision of architect Giuseppe Valadier on an area of ​​17,100 m2 at the foot of the Pincio. Piazza Bucarest - italiano 

Sopra la Piazza de Popolo che avete appena visto, nei giardini del Pincio, con al centro l'obelisco del Pincio che l'imperatore Adriano fece costruire per il suo giovane amante greco, Antinoo, abbiamo la Piazza Bucarest. L'obelisco, realizzato in Egitto, in granito rosa, riporta scritte geroglifiche rarissime, destinate a proclamare Antinoo un dio. Il culto di Antinoo, durò fino al prevalere del cristianesimo e la scritta geroglifica lo salvò dalla distruzione. La piazza fu progettata sempre dal famoso architetto Valadier con bellissimi alberi e piante lussureggianti, ampi vicoli e passeggiate e tante statue di personalità italiane famose. Ancora brancolo nel buio per quanto riguarda la denominazione della Piazza...

Bucarest Square - english

Above the People's Square that you have just seen, in the Pincio gardens, with the Pincio obelisk at center that the emperor Hadrian made for his young Greek lover, Antinous, we have Bucarest Square. The obelisk, made in Egypt, in pink granite, bears very rare hieroglyphic writings, intended to proclaim Antinous a god. The cult of Antinous lasted until the prevalence of Christianity and the hieroglyphic writing saved it from destruction.The square was also designed by the famous architect Valadier with beautiful trees and lush plants, wide alleys and walks and many statues of famous Italian personalities. Still have no clue regarding the name of this square.

Ciao carissimi amici, 

Finalmente riesco a scrivere il post in merito alle cose belle che ho vissuto durante il mese corrente e siccome le cose sono tante, dovrò dividere il post in due parti. Le cose belle di cui vi parlerò sono successe nell'arco di 5 giorni quando siamo andati in vacanza a Roma. Forse qualcuno si chiederà: perché due post per cinque giorni di vacanza, tutti nella stessa città? Perché la città è Roma, la capitale dell'Italia, capitale dell'Impero Roma che ha regnato su mezzo mondo già dall'antichità... Su Instagram finora avrò condiviso una decina di post, ognuno incentrato su un monumento o un gruppo di monumenti e attrazioni turistiche perciò, concedetemi adesso un post più lungo del solito 😱🤣 A differenza di Instagram dove ho postato in base alla popolarità dei monumenti, qui ve li presenterò nell'ordine in cui gli abbiamo visitati.

I finally get on writing the post about the beautiful things I experienced during the current month and since there are so many things, I'll have to split the post into two parts. The beautiful things I'm going to tell you about happened over the course of 4 days when we went on vacation to Rome. I know I made a mistake in some comments saying 4 days but in one of them it rained half a day so I removed it from my mind. Maybe someone will ask: why two posts for five days of vacation, all in the same city? Because the city is Rome, the capital of Italy, capital of the Roman Empire that has reigned over half the world since ancient times... On Instagram so far I've shared about ten posts, each focused on a monument or a group of monuments and tourist attractions so, allow me now a longer post than usual 😱🤣 Unlike Instagram where I posted based on the popularity of the monuments, here I will present them to you in the order in which we visited them.

Il Colosseo (Italiano)

Appena arrivati a Roma, il primo posto che siamo andati a vedere è stato il Colosseum, ce lo siamo studiati ben bene dall'esterno perché per visitare il suo interno, occorre prenotare i biglietti, anche se sei disabile in carrozzina. In tal caso il biglietto della persona disabile e del suo accompagnatore sono gratuiti ma occorre prenotazione perché c'è un limite giornaliero per il numero di visitatori. Aggiungo anche il fatto che la necessità di comprare i biglietti in anticipo si estende alla maggior parte dei monumenti. Siamo riusciti dunque a prenotarci i biglietti solo per l'ultimo giorno,  cioè il giorno della partenza che tral'altro era anche un bel giorno. Detto ciò, adesso continuo con alcune informazioni storiche già pubblicate su Instagram, ma siccome i post sono i miei, non penso di infrangere alcun diritto d'autore e farò la stessa cosa per gli altri punti d'interesse a Roma. Il nome Colosseo gli fu dato solo nel Medioevo, fino ad allora era conosciuto come Anfiteatro, il più grande anfiteatro Romano al mondo e una delle Sette Meraviglie del Mondo Moderno. Fu costruito con il bottino della distruzione del Tempio di Gerusalemme, ospitò vari eventi come battaglie navali, spettacoli di caccia, rievocazioni di battaglie famose, drammi basati sulla mitologia classica, ma ciò per cui è maggiormente ricordato sono l'uccisione di condannati (anche martiri cristiani) da parte di animali selvatici e combattimenti di gladiatori. Ogni anno, migliaia di gladiatori trovavano la loro fine in questa arena, solo per celebrare il trionfo di Traiano sui Daci. 10.000 gladiatori combatterono lì. Il suo declino coincide con il declino dell'Impero Romano, anche se anche prima di allora, il Colosseo subì incendi, terremoti, saccheggi e massacri da parte delle tribù visigote (di religione cristiana) così come dalla chiesa cristiana stessa e molto più tardi dal regime fascista che utilizzò il Colosseo come fonte di prezioso materiale da costruzione (marmo, bronzo, travertino e tufo) per costruire altre chiese e monumenti.

The Colosseum (English)

As soon as we arrived in Rome, the first place we went to see was the Colosseum, we studied it very carefully from the outside because to visit its interior, you need to book tickets, even if you are disabled in a wheelchair. In this case, the disabled person and their companion's ticket are free but you need to book because there is a daily limit for the number of visitors. I would also add that the need to buy tickets in advance extends to most of the monuments. We therefore managed to book tickets only for the last day, that is, the day of departure which was also a beautiful day. Having said that, I will now continue with some historical information already published on Instagram, but since the posts are mine, I do not think I am infringing any copyright and I will do the same for the other points of interest in Rome. The name Colosseum was given to it only during Middle Ages, until then it was known as Amphitheater, the greatest Roman amphitheater in the world and one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. It was built with the spoils from the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem, hosted various events such as naval battles, hunting shows, re-enactments of famous battles, dramas based on classical mythology but what it is mostly remembered for are the killing of condemned people (even Christian martyrs) by wild animals and gladiator fights. Every year, thousands of gladiators met their end in this arena, just to celebrate Trajan's triumph over the Dacians 10,000 gladiators fought there. Its decline coincides with the decline of the Roman Empire, although even before that, the Colosseum suffered fires, earthquakes, looting and massacres by the Visigoth tribes (of Christian religion) as well as by the Christian church itself and much later by the fascist regime who used the Colosseum as a source of valuable building material (marble, bronze, travertine and tuff) to build other churches and monuments.

Piazza Navona (Italiano)

Piazza Navona è una delle piazze più belle e famose di Roma e del mondo, è anche uno degli splendidi capolavori del barocco con opere  di Bernini e Borromini. Qui si possono ammirare la  Chiesa di Sant'Agnese in Agone, Palazzo Pamphilj, Santuario di Nostra Signora del Sacro Cuore, Fontana del Nettuno, Fontana del Moro, Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi e l'Obelisco Agonale. Al momento della nostra visita purtroppo l'Obelisco e le fontane venivano ristrutturate perciò la nostra esperienza in Piazza Navona è stata limitata però abbiamo assaggiato un piatto di pasta con vista sulla bellissima Sant'Agnese in Agone. Sempre da questa piazza si possono raggiungere a piedi anche il Pantheon, il Vaticano con la famosa Basilica San Pietro e Castel Sant'Angelo che abbiamo visto purtroppo solo dall'esterno. Io sono arrivata solo fino ai pressi di Castel Sant'Angelo, mio marito invece è andato a vedere e fotografare gli altri monumenti appena menzionati. Mi ha informato delle file lunghissime per entrare ed ecco perché non solo consiglio l'acquisto dei biglietti prima di andare in vacanza ma anche di organizzare i monumenti da visitare nei minimi dettagli e di considerare bene il tempo in rapporto con le destinazioni da vedere.

Navona Square (English)

Navona Square is one of the most beautiful and famous squares in Rome and in the world, it is alsoone of the most beautiful and famous squares in Rome and in the world, it is also one of the splendid masterpieces of the Baroque with works by Bernini and Borromini. Here you can admire the Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, Pamphilj Palace, Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Fountain of Neptune, Fountain of the Moor, Fountain of the Four Rivers and the Agonal Obelisk. At the time of our visit, unfortunately, the Obelisk and the fountains were being renovated so our experience in Piazza Navona was limited, but we tasted a plate of pasta overlooking the beautiful Sant'Agnese in Agone. From this square you can also walk to the Pantheon, the Vatican with the famous St. Peter's Basilica and Castel Sant'Angelo which we unfortunately only saw from the outside. I only got to the area around Castel Sant'Angelo, while my husband went to see and photograph the other monuments just mentioned. He informed me of the very long queues to get in and that's why I not only recommend buying tickets before going on holiday but also organising the monuments to visit down to the smallest detail and considering the time well in relation to the destinations to see.

Castel Sant'Angelo (Italian)

A poca distanza dal Vaticano e collegato ad esso attraverso il corridoio fortificato del "passetto" sulla sponda destra del Tevere, regna indisturbato, Castel Sant'Angelo. Famoso per la sua connessione allo stato del Vaticano che addirittura lo uso come come ultima difesa contro il saccheggio dei Visigoti di Alarico del 410 (menzionato anche nel post del Colosseo) e dei Vandali di Genserico del 455, pochi sanno che fu costruito fra il 135 e 139 d.C su ordine dell'imperatore Adriano. Nacque come mausoleo funebre per sé e i suoi familiari e ci furono sepolti diversi imperatori assieme alle loro moglie e figli ma diventò un castello e gli fu dato il nome Castel Sant'Angelo nel 590 quando durante una grave pestilenza, papa Gregorio I, vide l'arcangelo Michele rinfoderrare la sua spada, visione che coincise con la fine della pestilenza. Nel museo Capitolino viene conservata una pietra circolare con le impronte dei piedi lasciate dall'arcangelo. Nei secoli, il castello fu conteso da diverse famiglie nobiliari italiane e subì diverse modifiche. Negli anni si aggiunsero statue di angeli anche sul ponte e fra le altre cose,il castello fu usato anche come prigione. Sicuramente gli amanti dell'Opera sapranno che Giavomo Pucini ambientò a Castel Sant'Angelo l'ultimo atto della Tosca mentre gli amanti del cinema ricorderanno il ruolo che questo castello ebbe in Angeli e Demoni con Tom Hanks.

Saint'Angel Castle

At short distance from the Vatican and connected to it through the fortified corridor of the "passetto" on the right bank of the Tiber, Castel Sant'Angelo reigns undisturbed. Famous for its connection to the Vatican state that even used it as a last defense against the sacking of the Visigoths of Alaric in 410 (also mentioned in the post on the Colosseum) and the Vandals of Genseric in 455, few know that it was built between 135 and 139 AD on the orders of the emperor Hadrian. It was born as a funeral mausoleum for himself and his family and several emperors were buried there together with their wives and children but it became a castle and was given the name Castel Sant'Angelo in 590 when during a serious plague, Pope Gregory I, saw the archangel Michael sheathing his sword, a vision that coincided with the end of the plague. In the Capitoline Museum, a circular stone with the footprints left by the archangel is preserved. Over the centuries, the castle was contested by various Italian noble families and underwent several modifications. Over the years, statues of angels were added to the bridge and among other things, the castle was also used as a prison. Opera lovers will surely know that Giavomo Pucini set the last act of Tosca in Castel Sant'Angelo while film lovers will remember the role that this castle had in Angels and Demons with Tom Hanks.

Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II (il Vittoriano) o l'Altare della Patria (Italiano)

Abbiamo visitato questo monumento il terzo giorno di vacanza (a mio avviso, il giorno più bello). Abbiamo iniziato con questo monumento e poi abbiamo continuato con il Campidoglio, la Lupa Capitolina, il Foro Romano e gli altri Fori Imperiali (su Instagram sono stati presentati all'incontrario quasi). Comunque, il Vittoriano è situato in piazza Venezia, nei pressi del colle del Campidoglio, è il monumento moderno più significativo di Roma e ha un'ampia valenza simbolica essendo un tempio laico dedicato all'Italia libera e unita ed in virtù della tumulazione del Milite simboleggia anche il sacrificio per la patria e per gli ideali connessi. Fu costruito fra 1885 e 1935, progettato da Giuseppe Sacconi (che non vide la sua finalizzazione) in stile neoclassico con influenze eclettiche. 

National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II (the Vittoriano) or the Altar of the Fatherland (English)

We visited this monument on the third day of vacation (in my opinion, the best day). We started with this monument and then continued with the Capitoline Hill, the Capitoline Wolf, the Roman Forum and the other Imperial Forums (on Instagram they were presented almost backwards). It is located in Piazza Venezia, near the Campidoglio hill, is the most significant modern monument in Rome and has a wide symbolic value being a secular temple dedicated to free and united Italy and by virtue of the burial of the Soldier also symbolizes the sacrifice for the homeland and for the related ideals.It was built between 1885 and 1935, designed by Giuseppe Sacconi (who did not see its completion) in neoclassical style with eclectic influences.

Piazza Campidoglio

Situata sulla cima del colle Campidoglio, si errige secondo i criteri di un progetto originato dal genio del famoso Michelangelo, una piazza monumentale, la prima piazza che la Roma moderna ha visto nascere. Davanti al Palazzo senatorio e di fronte alle notevoli scalinate, si può amminare la statua della dea Roma, affiancata a destra e a sinistra dalle statue del "Tevere" e del "Nilo". Al centro della piazza si trova la copia della statua equestre di Marco Aurelio, il suo originale come d'altronde anche l'originale della Lupa Capitolina, si trovano all'interno dei Musei Capitolini che costeggiano la piazza a destra e a sinistra. In piazza Campidoglio si può arrivare anche attraverso delle scalinate. La scalinata principale è la famosa Cordonata Capitolina dove una volta arrivati in cima, potete ammirare da vicino le statue dei Dioscuri. A destra, attaccata praticamente alla Cordonata, c''è un'altra scalinata, di cui non ho ancora scoperto il nome ma sembra altrettanto pittoresca. A sinistra dal basso quando si comincia salire, appena aver superato le fontane dei Leoni Egizi, c'è la scalinata dell'Ara Coeli che passa accanto al Monumento a Cola di Rienzo e porta alla Basilica di Santa Maria in Aracoeli e al Convento di Santa Maria in Aracoeli.

Square Campidoglio (English)

Located on the top of the Campidoglio hill, it stands according to the criteria of a project originated by the genius of the famous Michelangelo, a monumental square, the first square that modern Rome saw born. In front of the Senatorial Palace and the notable stairways, you can admire the statue of the goddess Rome, flanked on the right and left by the statues of the "Tiber" and the "Nile". In the center of the square is the copy of the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius, its original as well as the original of the Capitoline Wolf, are located inside the Capitoline Museums that border the square on the right and left. Square Campidoglio can also be reached through stairs. The main staircase is the famous Cordonata Capitolina where once you get to the top, you can admire the statues of the Dioscuri up close. On the right, practically attached to the Cordonata, there is another staircase, whose name I haven't discovered yet but it seems equally picturesque. On the left from the bottom when you start to climb, just after passing the fountains of the Egyptian Lions, there is the Ara Coeli staircase that passes next to the Monument to Cola di Rienzo and leads to the Basilica of Santa Maria in Aracoeli and the Convent of Santa Maria in Aracoeli.

Solo Cose Belle - aprile 2023 / Only Beautiful Things - April 2023

Carissimi amici e lettori, 

Oggi sono qui per il nuovo appuntamento con le cose belle di questo mese. Per coloro che mi seguono su Instagram, il link lo trovate anche sopra, womantoday32, le cose che condividerò adesso non sono una novità, ma per coloro che non dedicano tempo a questo social, le cose belle di questo mese riguardano il breve viaggio che ho fatto sul lago Maggiore. All'inizio dell'anno vi avevo parlato di alcuni nuovi problemi di salute che poi piano piano ho accettato come un'altro compagno per la vita ma siccome non è per niente facile gestire i sintomi e la terapia (difficilmente controllabile a casa dove ho tutto il necessario) volevo provare ad affrontare la situazione anche in un ambito nuovo come quando viaggio. Perciò ci siamo organizzati per passare una breve vacanza di 3 giorni a visitare lago Maggiore e le sue bellissime città. Non ho avuto il successo che speravo nel controllo dei problemi di salute ma visitando questi posti stupendi mi ha ricordato ancora una volta quanto sia bello viaggiare, quanto mi possa alzare il morale e quanta pace mi possa dare ammirare paesaggi e panorami multicolori come quelli che condividerò in seguito. Abbiamo visitato Arona, Stresa e Lucarno e ci siamo soffermati in ognuna di queste città per ammirare i paesaggi, scattare foto, ascoltare i cantanti di strada, fare un aperitivo delizioso, pranzare e cenare con  pietanze squisite. Come novità rispetto alle condivisioni sui social, nel post di oggi condivido con voi le prelibatezze del lago Maggiore. Detto ciò, vi saluto e vi abbraccio con calore e vi do appuntamento al prossimo post.

Today I'm here for the new appointment with the beautiful things of this month. For those who follow me on Instagram, the link can also be found above, womantoday32, the things I will share now are nothing new, but for those who don't dedicate time to this social network, the beautiful things fir this month concern the short trip we made to Lake Maggiore. At the beginning of the year I told you about some new health problems which I then slowly accepted as another life partner but since it is not at all easy to manage the symptoms and the therapy (difficult to control at home where I have everything necessary) I wanted to try to deal with the situation even in a new environment like when I travel. So we organized ourselves to spend a short 3-day break visiting Lake Maggiore and its beautiful cities. I haven't had the success I hoped in controlling my health problems but visiting these beautiful places reminded me once again how beautiful it is to travel, how much it can lift my spirits and how much peace it can give me to admire multicolored landscapes and panoramas like the ones I will share afterwards. We visited Arona, Stresa and Lucarno and stopped in each of these cities to admire the landscapes, take pictures, listen to street singers, have a delicious happy hour, have lunch and dinner with exquisite dishes. As a novelty compared to sharing on social networks, in today's post I share with you the delicacies of Lake Maggiore. Having said that, I greet you and embrace you warmly and see you in the next post.

Solo Cose Belle - marzo 2022 / Only Beautiful Things - March 2022

Inizio i post del mese di aprile con le cose belle relative al mese di marzo. Non mi dilungo con le introduzioni ma siccome non tutti mi state seguendo su tutti i social, non avete avuto modo di venire a conoscenza con gli eventi salienti della mia vita il mese scorso. Comunque il mio primo consiglio, se avete voglia di sapere più cose di me, è di seguirmi su Insta, in quanto quello è il social che prediligo, forse perché lì, la gente in generale pubblica delle belle cose, forse perché lì è difficile fare polemica o forse semplicemente perché lì i cuoricini vanno di moda. Quindi le belle cose del mese scorso comprendono la festa del 1 marzo, la festa della Donna (e implicitamente anche il mio compliblog), mia madre che è venuta a trovarmi per qualche settimana e il mio compleanno. In queste occasioni ho ricevuto bellissimi regali, altrettanto bei fiori, auguri a cascate e pranzi nei ristoranti preferiti. Non devo nemmeno dimenticare le numerose orchidee che sono rifiorite questo mese giusto in tempo per portare un raggio di luce e colore nella mia vita. Su Insta, ci sono delle foto della maggior parte di questi momenti ma desidero condividere anche sul mio blog questi momenti. 

Per coloro che si chiedono come vanno invece le più recenti (se si possa chiamare recente una cosa che dura da 8 mesi ormai) brutte cose, tutto quello che posso dire è che ci sono ancora e resteranno anche loro, probabilmente per sempre. L'unica cosa a cambiare sono io, che cerco di trovare modi per conviverci al meglio. Quindi aggiungiamo anche questa rassegnazione/riappacificazione alle belle cose di questo mese. 

Vi ringrazio anche stavolta per avermi dedicato i vostri minuti e vi abbraccio con tanto, tantissimo affetto! Al prossimo post!

I start the posts of the month of April with the beautiful things related to the month of March. I won't dwell on the introductions but since not all of you are following me on all social networks, you didn't get to know the salient events of my life last month. However, my first advice, if you want to know more about me, is to follow me on Insta, as that's my favorite social network, perhaps because people in general post nice things there, perhaps because it's difficult to do controversy there or perhaps simply because little hearts are a trend there. So last month's beautiful things include March 1st, Women's Day (and by implication my blog anniversary), my mother who came to visit me for a few weeks and my birthday.  On these occasions I have received beautiful gifts, equally beautiful flowers, waterfall of good wishes and lunches in my favorite restaurants.  Nor must I forget the many orchids that have bloomed again this month just in time to bring a ray of light and color into my life. On Insta, there are photos of most of these moments but I want to share some of them on my blog as well.

For those wondering how the recently (if that is the word to use for a thing going on for over 8 months now) bad things go, all I can say is that they still exist and will also continue doing so, probably forever. The only thing that changes is me, trying to find ways to live with them, better. So let's also add this resignation/reconciliation to the good things of this month.

Carissimi amici e lettori,

È passato tanto tempo che non vi raccontavo e non condividevo con voi le cose belle del mese in corso... beh, la spiegazione è una semplice, non c'è ne erano. Pure questo meso è stato difficile e pieno di brutti eventi ma alcuni di questi eventi nella loro bruttezza, mi hanno paradossalmente concesso un po' di speranza... Vorrei raccontarvi di più ma oggi mi voglio dedicare solo alle cose belle di questo mese. Allora febbraio è sempre un mese ricco di emozioni per me, c'è San Valentino (e non siamo mai troppo vecchi per festeggiare l'amore) e poi c'è il compleanno di mio marito. In tutte queste occasioni noi festeggiamo al meglio, regali, fiori, attenzioni, cene al ristorante e anche una piccola escursione in montagna fra questi due eventi per salutare la neve e riposarci gli occhi sul suo immenso e candido biancore. Chi mi segue sui social, avrà già avuto modo di vedere qualche post in relazione a questi momenti ma per tutti gli altri, condividerò adesso con voi anche qualche scatto fotografico che sarà di sicuro più descrittivo e affascinante di qualunque frasi io possa cercare di usare per descriverli. 

Con questo io vi saluto, vi ringrazio per la visita e per qualsiasi piccola riflessione vogliate condividere con me in merito al mio post e a questi momenti.

Dear friends and readers,

It has been some while since I didn't talk to you and didn't share with you the beautiful things of the current month... well, the explanation is simple, there weren't any. Even this month has been difficult and full of bad events but some of these events in their ugliness paradoxically gave me a little hope... I would like to tell you more but today I want to dedicate my post only to the beautiful things of this month. So February is always an emotional month for me, there's Valentine's Day (and we're never too old to celebrate love) and then there's my husband's birthday. On all these occasions we celebrate the best we can, gifts, flowers, attentions, dinners at the restaurant and even a small hike in the mountains in between those moments to say goodbye to the snow and rest our eyes on its immense and candid whiteness.  Those who follow me on social media will have already seen a few posts related to these moments, but for all the others, I will now share with you some pics that will certainly be more descriptive and fascinating than any phrase I might try to use to describe them.

That being said, I salute you, I thank you for your visit and for any small thought you want to share with me about my post and about these moments.

ROMÂNĂ

Dragi prieteni şi cititori,

A trecut ceva timp de când nu v-am mai scris și nu am mai împărtășit cu voi lucrurile frumoase ale lunii curente... ei bine, explicația e simplă, nu au fost.  Chiar și această lună a fost grea și plină de evenimente proaste dar unele dintre aceste evenimente, în urâțenia lor mi-au dat, în mod paradoxal, puțină speranță... V-aş spune mai multe dar astăzi vreau să-mi dedic postarea doar lucrurilor frumoase din aceasta lună.  Așadar februarie a fost întotdeauna o lună emoționantă pentru mine, cuprinde Ziua Îndrăgostiților (și niciodată nu suntem prea bătrâni pentru a sărbători dragostea) și apoi mai vine şi ziua de naștere a soțului meu.

În toate aceste ocazii am sărbătorit în cel mai bun mod posibil, cadouri, flori, atenții, cine la restaurant și chiar o mică drumeție în munți între aceste două evenimente pentru a ne lua rămas bun de la zăpadă și a ne odihni ochii pe albul ei imens și sincer. Cei care mă urmăresc pe rețelele de socializare au văzut deja câteva postări legate de aceste momente, dar pentru toți ceilalți, voi împărtăși acum câteva fotografii care cu siguranță vor fi mai descriptive și mai fascinante decât oricare frază eu aș încerca să folosesc pentru a le descrie.

Cu aceasta, vă salut, vă mulțumesc pentru vizită și pentru orice mic gând pe care doriți să-l împărtășiți cu mine despre postarea mea și despre aceste momente.

Solo Cose Belle - ottobre 2022 / Only Beautiful Things - October 2022

Carissimi lettori e amici,

Il mese di ottobre è stato particolarmente impegnativo, tanto che stavo per dimenticarmi il post relativo alle cose belle del rispettivo mese. Fortunatamente, Lulù, l'amica blogger che gestisce al momento il riepilogo dei rispettivi post, me lo ha gentilmente ricordato. 

Il mese di ottobre è iniziato molto bene perché è iniziato con una piccola vacanza. Abbiamo colto l'occasione anche per celebrare il nostro anniversario di matrimonio. Ad ottobre abbiamo celebrato 15 anni di matrimonio e per festeggiare le nostre nozze di cristallo abbiamo scelto di passare una settimana sul lago di Garda. Chi mi sta seguendo su Instagram o ha il mio numero di telefono e rispettivo contatto Whatsapp, ha già avuto modo di vedere delle foto relative a questa vacanza ma per tutti gli altri amici blogger, condividerò in questo post dei scatti che hanno immortalato questi momenti. Ho approfittato di questo momento per soggiornare in un posto meraviglioso, cortesia di un nostro caro amico che ci ha prestato il suo appartamento, per pranzare e uscire a cena in ristoranti romantici, con viste spettacolari e pietanze squisite, per leggere grandi libri nel silenzio di un balcone con una vista mozzafiato e per visitare posti splendidi con i lungo lago e le città di Desenzano del Garda, Limone sul Garda, Riva del Garda, Gardone Riviera, Maderno, Malcesine e Peschiera del Garda. 

E direi che anche se il resto del mese è proseguito con diverse difficoltà di ogni tipo, questi momenti bastano per compensare tutto il resto. Voi che ne dite?

The month of October was particularly busy, so much so that I was about to forget the post about the beautiful things of the respective month. Fortunately, Lulù, the blogger friend who currently manages the summary of the respective posts, kindly reminded me.

The month of October started very well because it started with a little vacation. We also took the opportunity to celebrate our wedding anniversary. In October we celebrated 15 years of marriage and to celebrate our crystal wedding we chose to spend a week on Lake Garda. Anyone who is following me on Instagram or has my phone number and respective Whatsapp contact, has already had the opportunity to see photos related to this vacation but for all the other blogger friends, I will share in this post some shots that have immortalized these moments. I took advantage of this moment to lodge in a wonderful place, courtesy of a dear friend of ours who lent us his apartment, to have lunch and dinner in romantic restaurants, with spectacular views and exquisite dishes, to read great books in the silence of a balcony with a breathtaking view and to visit splendid places along the lakeside and the cities of Desenzano del Garda, Limone sul Garda, Riva del Garda, Gardone Riviera, Maderno, Malcesine and Peschiera del Garda.

And I would say that even if the rest of the month went on with various difficulties of all kinds, these moments are enough to compensate for everything else. What do you think about it?

Solo Cose Belle - settembre 2022 / Only Beautiful Things - September 2022

Carissimi amici e lettori,

Oggi ritorno a raccontarvi le cose belle che hanno rallegrato il mese di settembre per me. Non ho tante cose da condividere ma quelle che ci sono, sono state abbastanza da riempire tutto il mese, come si dice, "poche ma buone". 

Come lo avete sicuramente capito a questo punto leggendo e seguendo il mio blog, sono una grande amante della letteratura, dei libri e della lettura perciò all'arrivo di una mail che mi offriva dei grandi sconti, non ho resistito. Ho colto subito l'opportunità di fare bottino e ho ordinato ben 11 libri su uno dei miei siti preferiti. Ho scelto dei grandi classici, titoli importanti di autori che hanno lasciato un segno nella letteratura universale. Fra questi titoli ci sono libri che in passato ho letto in altre lingue ma visto che ero curiosa se una lingua diversa avrebbe cambiato il mio parere iniziale, ho colto subito l'opportunità di acquistarli. Vi dico subito che ho già letto uno di questi libri. Per il momento non vi dico quale libro, mi riservo lo sfizio di farvelo scoprire nella sua recensione. Sono sicura che anche alcuni di voi hanno approfittato degli stessi sconti e hanno arricchito la loro libreria. 

Oltre a questi fantastici libri, vorrei parlarvi di un'altra cosa bella che nonostante non abbia visto me come principale protagonista, mi ha portato comunque tanta gioia. Questo mese, una mia collega di lavoro, una splendida ragazza, generosa, empatica, colta e tanto cara, è andata una settimana  in vacanza nei Paesi Bassi. Sapendo che sono una grande amante dei viaggi, ha trovato tempo durante la sua vacanza per condividere con me delle splendide foto di quei meravigliosi posti che molto probabilmente con potrò mai percorrere. Al ritorno mi ha portato anche dei meravigliosi souvenir, una stampa con un bellissimo quadro di van Gogh, delle carinissime saponette a forma di cuoricini e dei meravigliosi bulbi di tulipani che andrò a piantare con la speranza di fare un buon lavoro e in primavera, poter farvi vedere dei meravigliosi tulipani freschi.

Today I return to talk to you about the beautiful things that brightened up the month of September for me. I don't have so many things to share but the ones that I have, were enough to fill the whole month, as they say, "few but good".

As you have surely understood at this point by reading and following my blog, I am a great lover of literature, books and reading so when I received an email that offered me great discounts, I could not resist. I immediately took the opportunity to loot and ordered 11 books from one of my favorite sites. I have chosen great classics, important titles by authors who have left their mark on universal literature. Among these titles, there are books that I have read in the past in other languages ​​but since I was curious if a different language would change my initial opinion, I immediately took the opportunity to buy them. I tell you right away that I have already read one of these books. For the moment I won't tell you which one, I reserve the caprice to let you discover it in its review. I'm sure some of you have also taken advantage of the same discounts and enriched their library.

In addition to these fantastic books, I would like to talk to you about another beautiful thing that despite not having seen me as the main protagonist, still brought me a lot of joy. This month, a co-worker of mine, a beautiful girl, generous, empathetic, cultured and very dear, went on vacation to the Netherlands for a week. Knowing that I am a great lover of travel, she took time during her vacation to share with me some great photos of those wonderful places that I will most likely never be able to travel to. On my return she also brought me some wonderful souvenirs, a print with a beautiful van Gogh's painting, some cute little heart-shaped soap bars and wonderful tulip bulbs that I will plant hoping to do a good job and in spring, to be able to show you some fresh and gorgeous tulips.
