I am back again with a review of a product that the south Korean brand Elizavecca has given me in order to try and review. The product in this case is the Silky Creamy Donkey Steam mask pack from the Milky Piggy line of skin care products. This is the first time I try a product that contains donkey milk and when I unboxed my pack I was surprised and curious at the same time. I will proceed as usual with my review following the well known criteria. I want to specify from the start that I will evaluate this product only as a skin care product and I will not go into matters that exceed my knowledge and skills.

Information from the producer: This innovative product moisturizes, strengthens, firms and enhances skin elasticity thanks to its donkey milk water - cream special formula sheet mask. A 20 minutes pamper session is enough to grant a long lasting smoothing and replenishing action the skin.

Method of application: after the usual face cleansing routine, take the sheet mask from the envelope, unfold it and apply it correctly on the face contour. Let it rest for 20 minutes and then remove it. Massage the remaining serum into your skin and remove any residues with a cotton swab.

Personal evaluation: First of all I have to say that this mask was a true surprise, a surprise that left me a good impression and left me wanted to use it again and again. I applied the mask as indicated on the package and waited for the indicated time. I confess that I would have liked to wait longer since the mask has a very pleasant fragrance and the sensation while applying it is very relaxing and comforting. The skin was soft, hydrated and radiant. In one of the applications, it even alleviated a small irritation I had on my face. I don't have dry skin but I believe that using this mask in winter will be a pleasure for any skin type. Sensitive skin will certainly benefit from such a delicate, refreshing and comforting treatment. After trying this mask several times, I fell in love with it and its results. This mask it is suitable for dry and sensitive skin and for all other skin types, I recommend using it during the cold seasons. I also have to state that there is a great quality / price ratio. For all the above reasons, I recommend this product.

Questa è la prima volta che provo un prodotto che contiene latte d'asina e quando ho aperto la confezione sono rimasta sorpresa e curiosa allo stesso tempo. Procederò come al solito con la mia recensione seguendo i criteri ben noti. Voglio specificare fin dall'inizio che valuterò questo prodotto solo come prodotto per la cura della pelle e non entrerò in argomenti che eccedono le mie conoscenze e capacità.

Cautela e avvertenze: non applicare su ferite, eczemi o cute affetta da dermatiti, evitare il contatto con gli occhi, consultare un medico se dopo l'applicazione dovessero comparire gonfiore o prurito; conservare a temperatura ambiente e al riparo dai raggi solari; tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini

Metodo di applicazione: dopo la consueta routine di pulizia del viso, bisogna prelevare la maschera in tessuto dalla busta, aprirla e applicarla correttamente sul contorno del viso. Lasciarla riposare per 20 minuti e poi rimuoverla. Massaggiare il siero rimanente sulla pelle e rimuovere eventuali residui con un batuffolo di cotone.

Valutazione personale: Prima di tutto devo dire che questa maschera è stata una sorpresa, una bella sorpresa che mi ha lasciato il desiderio di provarla nuovamente. Ho applicato la maschera come indicato sulla confezione a atteso il tempo indicato. Confesso che avrei voluto attendere di più visto che la maschera ha una fragranza piacevolissima e la sensazione durante la posa è molto rilassante e confortante. La pelle è risultata soffice, idratata e radiosa. In una delle applicazioni, ha persino attenuato una piccola irritazione che avevo sul viso. Non ho una pelle secca ma credo che in inverno usare questa maschera sarà una goduria per qualsiasi tipo di pelle. Le pelli sensibili troveranno sicuramente giovamento da un trattamento tanto delicato, rinfrescante e riconfortante. Dopo aver provato questa maschera in diverse occasioni, me ne sono innamorata di questo originale prodotto. La maschera è indicata per le pelli secche e sensibili e per quanto riguarda le altre tipologie di pelle, consiglio di usarla soprattutto durante le stagioni fredde. Considero anche che c’è un ottimo rapporto qualità / prezzo. Premetto inoltre che c'è un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Per tutti i motivi di cui sopra, consiglio questo prodotto.

Ciao carissimi lettori,

Oggi vorrei recensire un romanzo di Elsa Morante, la scrittrice italiana che amo di più fino a questo momento. Mi bastò leggere il suo romanzo La Storia, che le valse il premio La Strega per sceglierla come scrittrice italiana preferita senza più cambiare idea. Ulteriormente ho letto anche il romanzo L’Isola di Arturo, che ho recensito QUI e adesso dopo aver letto un suo terzo romanzo, sono ancora più sicura che è lei, la scrittrice italiana che amo di più. I romanzi di Elsa Morante sono solidi, ricchi di descrizioni, di personaggi complessi, di movimento, di sentimenti, di riflessioni, di descrizioni di sentimento e riflessioni. Aracoeli fu il suo ultimo romanzo, nonché il più misterioso, un romanzo che mi ha tenuto col fiato sospeso cercando di capire le cause di certi fenomeni e rapporti in una famiglia apparentemente normale. Il romanzo viene scritto in prima persona e il personaggio principale è Manuele, un quarantenne omosessuale, infelice e fallito, alla ricerca costante dell’amore primordiale, l’amore materno. Aracoeli è sua madre, una donna di origini contadine andaluse, una ragazza semplice che incontrando un ufficiale nonché aristocratico italiano, si vede trasportata in un mondo completamente diverso, un mondo dove dovrà imparare insieme a suo figlio, un nuovo linguaggio e nuove abitudini.

Questo romanzo è centrato sulla relazione madre – figlio e su come le dinamiche di questo rapporto andranno a condizionare lo sviluppo e ulteriormente il fallimento del figlio. La scrittrice ha un talento molto spiccato nel cogliere e descrivere la genesi di un trauma, quasi al pari dei migliori psicologi. Nonostante non avesse mai avuto dei figli propri, la scrittrice ha catturato in modo genuino l’emozione del rapporto e l’amore autentico fra madre e figlio in ogni romanzo che io abbia letto, senza ritoccarlo con quelle correzioni moralistiche dettate dalla coscienza sociale perbenista che ovattano e attutiscono i ricordi di una madre. L’intensità dei sentimenti che trasuda da ogni parola, avvolge il lettore in una calorosa e dolce attesa per il seguito con la certezza che l’avventura continuerà altrettanto coinvolgente, inaspettata e ricca di emozioni.

Ogni personaggio è molto complesso, arricchito con una vasta gamma di sentimenti e in grado di compiere atti sorprendenti. Probabilmente per il personaggio Manuele, l’autrice si fosse ispirata agli uomini con cui aveva interagito, soprattutto al suo grande amico Pier Paolo Pasolini, grande poeta, scrittore, regista e filosofo italiano, figlio di un ufficiale di fanteria nonché di nobile retaggio, perseguitato per le sue inclinazioni omosessuali. Al pari del grande Pasolini, Manuele è figlio di un ufficiale della Marina Militare e di una donna di famiglia comune, molto legato alla madre che idolatra e ama, di un amore puro e candido, con ogni sua fibra. La dinamica di questa famiglia ha determinato il modo in cui Manuele, adulto, si rapportava all’amore e l’autrice ha fatto il lavoro di un grande analista quando ci ha descritto le emozioni e i desideri del suo personaggio principale. L’omossessuale Manuel desidera essere sua madre, desidera integrarsi al fisico di sua madre per catturare l’attenzione, il riguardo e l’amore di suo padre, come in una danza tragica.

Il secondo personaggio per importanza è proprio Aracoeli, la madre del nostro protagonista. Aracoeli è una ragazza “selvaggia” per quei tempi, una ragazza che noi oggi chiameremmo semplice. Viene da un piccolo paesino chiamato El Almendral, in Andalusia, un paesino talmente piccolo che contava solo una manciata di case e dove tutti gli abitanti avessero il cognome Munoz Munoz come Aracoeli. In questo suo piccolo universo, Aracoeli viveva al pari di una principessa, insieme a sua famiglia, a suo fratello EROE Manuel, alla sua capra Abuelita e al suo gatto Patufé. Nel nuovo mondo, l’Aracoeli, pudica, spaurita e goffa, cerca di integrarsi con l’aiuto di sua cognata e quando sta per farcela, una perdita inaspettata e crudele, polverizza i suoi desideri e da nascita ad un male profondo che cambierà non solo la sua vita, ma anche le vite di tutti i nostri personaggi. Agli occhi di un bambino innocente, il comportamento oltraggioso di Aracoeli diventa un segreto misterioso e poi penoso, che solo alla fine verrà svelato per quello che era realmente, portando giustizia alla sua memoria.

In ogni suo personaggio Elsa Morante ha fatto un grande lavoro di analisi, persino nel personaggio di Eugenio Oddone Amedeo, chiamato “Il Comandante”, famoso non solo grazie al suo buon cognome di provenienza Gotha, una delle famiglie più celebri fra le case reali europee, ma anche grazie alle sue imprese militari. Attraverso due momenti descrittivi, all’inizio e alla fine del romanzo, la scrittrice ha rispecchiato con tanta franchezza e naturalezza, le ripercussioni della perdita e del troppo amore. Eugenio, il padre di Manuele, descritto inizialmente come un uomo alto, bello, sicuro e disinvolto come un principe si trasforma attraverso sofferenze, tradimenti e umiliazioni in un essere che risveglia in Manuele solo pietà e dolore. Incontrando per l’ultima volta suo padre, il figlio Manuele, nome completo Vittorio Emanuele, come il re, ma comunemente chiamato Manuelito o Manuelino, come lo zio paterno, al riparo di un disprezzo manifesto, scopre finalmente anche lui il pianto per la perdita dell’amore. La scrittrice utilizza un processo simile anche nel caso della zia Monda, Raimonda, la sorella di Eugenio, inizialmente ritratta come una dama di alta classe, molto attenta all’etichetta sociale e con ogni probabilità, una futura zitella, che però dopo aver conosciuto Aracoeli e aver seguito il suo dramma da vicino, opera su se stessa un cambiamento di 180 gradi. A distanza di parecchi anni, Manuele scopre in lei una donna avida di amore e pentita di aver passato gli anni nascondendosi dietro le regole, una donna prigioniera di un matrimonio sbagliato che cerca goffamente di riavere la sua gioventù con cappelli da soubrette e trucco esagerato.

Questo libro è ricco di personaggi complessi, personaggi che racchiudono dentro universi molto vasti in termini di desideri, pensieri, comportamenti e atteggiamenti, personaggi che per poterli descrivere accuratamente, dovrei praticamente scrivere un altro romanzo e quindi mi fermo solo a dire che questo è un romanzo MAGNIFICO, popolato da personaggi SORPRENDENTI.

Ho trascorso dei momenti di gioia, di tristezza e di curiosità fra le 382 pagine di questo libro e quando l’ho finito ero invasa dalla certezza che un giorno non molto lontano, lo avrei riletto. Ho apprezzato moltissimo questo romanzo perché nonostante non abbia scoperto fatti nuovi o eventi storici, ho scoperto e sono stata trasportata in un mondo vissuto, un mondo di desideri, un mondo di dolore e di gioia, un mondo fatto di persone veraci e voraci.

Today I would like to review a novel by Elsa Morante, the Italian writer that up to now, I love the most. It was enough for me to read her novel History, which earned her the "La Strega prize" to choose her as my favorite female Italian writer without changing my mind. I also read the novel Arturo's Island, which I reviewed HERE and now, after reading a third novel of this author, I'm even more convinced that she is the Italian writer I love the most. Elsa Morante's novels are solid, full of descriptions, full of complex characters, of movement, of feelings, of reflections, full of descriptions of feelings and reflections. Aracoeli was her last novel, as well as the most mysterious one. It kept me in suspense trying to understand the causes of certain phenomena and relationships in a seemingly normal family. The novel is written in the first person and the main character is Manuele, a forty-year-old homosexual, unhappy and unsuccessful man, at the constant search for his primordial love, the maternal love. Aracoeli is his mother, a woman of Andalusian peasant origins, a simple girl who, meeting an officer and an Italian aristocrat, sees herself transported to a completely different world, a world where she will have to learn together with her son, a new language and new habits.

This novel focuses on the mother-child relationship and how the dynamics of this relationship will affect the child's development and further failure. The writer has a very strong talent for grasping and describing the genesis of a trauma, almost on a par with the best psychologists. Despite never having had children of her own, the writer has genuinely captured the emotion of the relationship and the authentic love between mother and child in every novel I have read without retouching it with those moralistic corrections dictated by the respectable social conscience that muffle and appease a mother's memories. The intensity of the feelings that exudes from each word envelops the reader in a warm and sweet expectation for the rest with the certainty that the adventure will continue just as engaging, unexpected and full of emotions.

Each character is very complex, enriched with a wide range of feelings and able to perform surprising acts. Probably for the character of Manuele, the author was inspired by the men with whom she had interacted, especially her great friend Pier Paolo Pasolini, a great Italian poet, writer, director and philosopher, son of an infantry officer as well as of noble heritage, persecuted for his homosexual inclinations. Like the great Pasolini, Manuele is the son of an officer of the Navy and a woman of a common family, very attached to the mother who idolizes and loves with every fiber of a pure and candid love. The dynamics of this family determined the way in which the adult Manuele, related to love and the author did the work of a great analyst when depecting the emotions and desires of his main character. The homosexual Manuel wishes to be his mother, he wishes to integrate into his mother's body, so to capture the attention, respect and love of his father like in a tragic dance.

The second most important character is Aracoeli, the mother of our protagonist. Aracoeli is a "wild" girl for those times, a girl that today, we would consider simple. She comes from a small village called El Almendral, in Andalusia, a village so small that it only had a handful of houses and where all the inhabitants had the surname Munoz Munoz just like Aracoeli. In this little universe of hers, Aracoeli lived like a princess, together with her family, her HERO brother Manuel, her goat Abuelita and her cat Patufé. In the new world,  the modest, frightened and clumsy Aracoeli, tries with the help of her sister-in-law, to integrate  and when she is about to succeed, an unexpected and cruel loss, pulverizes her desires and originates a profound evil that will not only change her life, but also the lives of all our characters. In the eyes of an innocent child, Aracoeli's outrageous behavior becomes a mysterious and then painful secret, which only in the end will be revealed for what it really was, bringing justice to her memory.

In each of her characters Elsa Morante has done a great job of analysis, even in the character of Eugenio Oddone Amedeo, called "The Commander" famous not only thanks to his good surname, Gotha, descending from one of the most famous families among the European royal houses but also thanks to his military exploits. Through two descriptive moments, at the beginning and at the end of the novel, the writer has reflected with so much frankness and naturalness the repercussions of loss and excesive love. Eugenio, Manuele's father, initially described as a tall, handsome, confident and jaunty like a prince,  is transformed through suffering, betrayal and humiliation into a being that awakens only pity and pain in Manuele's eyes. Meeting his father for the last time, his son Manuele, full name Vittorio Emanuele as the king, but commonly called Manuelito or Manuelino as his paternal uncle, disguised by a manifest contempt, also experiences  the cry for the loss of love. The writer uses a similar process also in the case of Aunt Monda, Raimonda, Eugenio's sister, initially portrayed as a high-class lady, very attentive to social etiquette and in all likelihood, a future spinster, who, however, after having met Aracoeli and having followed his drama closely, operates on herself a 180-degree change. After several years, Manuele discovers in her aunt, the image of a woman greedy for love and repentant of having spent years hiding behind the rules that held women prisoners in abusive marriages, a woman who awkwardly tries to regain her youth with soubrette hats and exaggerated makeup.

This book is full of very complex characters, characters expressing a very vast universes in terms of desires, thoughts, behaviors and attitudes, characters that in order to describe them accurately, I would practically have to write another novel and this is why I prefer to just say that this is a MAGNIFICENT novel, populated by SURPRISING characters.

I spent moments of joy, sadness and curiosity among the 382 pages of this book and when I finished it, I was overwhelmed by the certainty that one day not far away, I would read it again. I enjoyed this novel very much because although I did not discover new facts or historical events, I discovered and was transported to a suffered world, a world of desires, a world of pain and joy, a world made of true and voracious people.
