Maschera Detox Argilla Pura - la mia esperienza l'Orèal / Pure Clay Detox Mask - My L'Oréal Experience

Oggi recensisco per voi una maschera viso all’argilla. Forse ricorderete le mie recensioni precedenti, sul blog e su instagram per le maschere all’argilla del marchio Apivita ma oggi vorrei parlarvi di un prodotto che potete trovare anche nei supermercati, a prezzi abbastanza contenuti e che ha risultati notevoli. Il prodotto in questione è la Maschera Detox Argilla Pura di l’Orèal con 3 tipi di argille e carbone. 

Informazioni dal produttore: Questo prodotto è realizzato con 3 argille, il caolino o l’argilla bianca con proprietà assorbenti, lenitive e riflettenti, la montmorillonite con proprietà purificanti e detossinanti, il Rhassoul o l’argilla del Marocco, con proprietà esfolianti e sebo-regolatrici ed il carbone vegetale per pulire, detossificare ed illuminare le pelli spente e impure. La sua texture cremosa penetra i pori in profondità, lasciando la pelle opacizzata e purificata. La pelle non si secca e resta più pura e uniforme. Dopo una settimana la pelle risulta più fresca e luminosa, con un utilizzo regolare invece, la pelle respira ed è visibilmente trasformata.

Packaging: barattolo in vetro con tappo a vite in plastica. Il barattolo contiene 50 ml di prodotto.

Prezzo: fra i 10 ed i 15€ in base a sconti, promozioni e tipologie di venditori. Io l’ho comprata durante gli anni scorsi diverse volte negli outlet del marchio a prezzi fra 5 e 10€.

Consistenza: crema lievemente appiccicosa

Fragranza: fresca

Modalità d’utilizzo: applicare uno strato sottile sul viso completamente deterso, evitando il contorno occhi e labbra. Lasciare agire da 5 a 10 minuti finché la maschera assume un colore grigio chiaro. Risciacquare con acqua tiepida o con un panno umido. Da usare una o due volte alla settimana.

Valutazione personale: Prima di tutto desidero specificare che questa è la maschera in argilla che più ho usato e acquistato in assoluto. Siccome ho finito da poco l’ultimo barattolo, ho deciso di recensirla finalmente. L’attesa nel farlo si spiega semplicemente perché i prodotti che uso costantemente vengono in qualche modo trascurati. Avevo sempre la possibilità di acquistare il prodotto negli outlet oppure al bisogno, anche nei supermercati e purtroppo rimandavo sempre il momento della recensione in quanto sapevo che non ci avrei rinunciato volentieri a riacquistarlo. Al momento, non sono più riuscita a riacquistarlo perché non l’ho più trovato nei supermercati e andare negli outlet, al momento mi viene scomodo e pertanto ho deciso di attendere. Riacquisterò il prodotto appena lo ritroverò perché ha un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo ed i risultati sono notevoli. Confermo tutto quello che il produttore enuncia in merito alla Maschera Detox Argilla Pura, la pelle risulta veramente più pulita, purificata ed illuminata. Inoltre, dopo aver usato questo prodotto la pelle non si secca e resta elastica e levigata. Spero di riuscire a ricomprarla in quanto nonostante stia usando altre ottime maschere all’argilla, la Maschera Detox Argilla Pura ha il miglior rapporto qualità prezzo. L’unica critica riguarda il contenitore in vetro ma questo è un problema e una preferenza personale, non credo possa contare altrettanto per altri consumatori. 

PRO: ottime qualità purificanti, regola benissimo il sebo, pulisce i pori in profondità, opacizza ed illumina allo stesso tempo, non secca la pelle e ha un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. 

CONTRO: contenitore in vetro, non comodo da maneggiare o portare via in vacanze

Conclusione: Consiglio questo prodotto a tutti coloro che hanno una pelle grassa, spenta e impura e cercano un prodotto efficace e con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

You may remember my previous reviews on the blog and Instagram of Apivita clay masks, but today I'd like to talk about a product you can also find in supermarkets, at fairly reasonable prices, and that delivers remarkable results. The product in question is the L'Oréal Pure Clay Detox Mask, with 3 types of clay and charcoal.

Manufacturer's information: This product is made with 3 clays: kaolin or white clay with absorbent, soothing, and reflective properties, montmorillonite with purifying and detoxifying properties, Rhassoul or Moroccan clay with exfoliating and sebum-regulating properties, and charcoal to cleanse, detoxify, and brighten dull, impure skin. Its creamy texture penetrates deep into pores, leaving skin mattified and purified. Skin doesn't dry out and remains purer and more even. After a week, the skin appears fresher and brighter, while with regular use, the skin breathes and is visibly transformed.

Packaging: Glass jar with plastic screw cap. Each jar contains 50 ml of product.

Price: Between €10 and €15 depending on discounts, promotions, and the type of seller. I've purchased it several times in the brand's outlet stores over the past few years for between €5 and €10.

How to use: Apply a thin layer to a thoroughly cleansed face, avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes until the mask turns a light gray. Rinse with warm water or a damp cloth. Use once or twice a week.

Personal review: First of all, I'd like to point out that this is the clay mask I've used and purchased the most. Since I recently finished the last jar, I finally decided to review it. The wait is simply because the products I use regularly get neglected. I always had the option of purchasing the product at outlets or, as needed, even in supermarkets, and unfortunately, I always put off writing a review because I knew I wouldn't willingly stoped using it. So far, I haven't been able to repurchase it because I can't find it in supermarkets anymore, and going to outlets is inconvenient for me, so I've decided to wait. I will repurchase the product as soon as I can find it again because it's an excellent value for money and the results are remarkable. I confirm everything the manufacturer says about the Pure Clay Detox Mask: skin is truly cleaner, purified, and brighter. Furthermore, after using this product, skin doesn't dry out and remains supple and smooth. I hope to be able to buy it again because, although I'm using other excellent clay masks, the Pure Clay Detox Mask is the best value. My only criticism is the glass container, but that's a personal preference and a concern that I don't think it will affect other consumers.

PROS: Excellent purifying properties, regulates sebum very well, cleanses pores deeply, mattifies and brightens at the same time, doesn't dry out the skin, and is excellent value for money.

CONS: Glass container, not convenient to handle or take on vacation.

Conclusion: I recommend this product to anyone with oily, dull, and blemish-prone skin and looking for an effective product with a good quality/price ratio.

Vitamine e tonico viso - un'esperienza Sephora / Vitamins and face tonic - Sephora experience

Oggi il mio post si discosta dai soliti post in cui recensisco prodotti perché purtroppo cercando ad acquistare nuovamente il prodotto, ho scoperto che non si trovava più nei negozi Sephora italiani. Online risulta ancora disponibile in altri negozi Sephora di altri paesi, come l'India quindi alcuni di voi potranno ancora acquistarlo. 

Il prodotto che desidero comunque recensire per voi è un prodotto dai sentori esotici e consistenze voluttuose, un prodotto che mi ha portato in un viaggio emozionante dei sensi. Il prodotto è il tonico al frutto del drago e Vitamina B3 del marchio Sephora. Ho acquistato questo prodotto perché m’intrigava un tonico con ingredienti e profumi esotici ma desideravo anche un prodotto che proteggesse la mia pelle dagli agenti inquinanti e donasse luminosità al mio incarnato.

Informazioni dal produttore: Il tonico Sephora al frutto del drago + vitamina B 3 è realizzato con il 96% ingredienti di origine naturale. Grazie alla presenza di estratti naturali antiossidanti e rivitalizzanti del frutto del Dragone dona freschezza e luminosità alla pelle spenta mentre la presenza della vitamina B 3 rafforza la barriera cutanea. In sostanza questo tonico non aiuta solo al ringiovanimento e all’aspetto curato della pelle ma funge anche come scudo contro le aggressioni esterne, ka disidratazione e gli agenti inquinanti. 

Packaging: elegante e pratica confezione rosa composta dal 73% di residui di canna da zucchero contenente 100 ml di prodotto.

Consistenza: liquida quando agitato o applicato energicamente il prodotto fa una leggera schiuma

Colore: trasparente con una leggera sfumatura rosa

Profumazione: un delizioso profumo esotico

Prezzo: 6.99 € ma spesso si trova scontato o in diverse promozioni

Valutazione personale: ho comprato questo prodotto in promozione e l’ho pagato circa 5 euro. Per questo prezzo ritengo ci sia un buon rapporto qualità / prezzo. La prima cosa che ho apprezzato di questo tonico è la fragranza esotica, molto piacevole e delicata. Dopo l’applicazione la pelle rimane rinfrescata, liscia e luminosa. Il risultato è notevole ed in passato avevo comprato un paio di volte il prodotto. Come avevo detto all'inizio del post, lo avrei ricomprato ma purtroppo, al momento non risulta più disponibile. Tuttavia, nei negozi del brand sono ancora in vendita le maschere viso in tessuto, nel caso vi possa interessare la fragranza ed il risultato sulla pelle. Un altro elemento che ho gradito è la confezione, pratica, facile da collocare in borsa, beauty case o sullo scaffale dei cosmetici nonostante contenesse 100 ml di prodotto. 

PRO: rinfresca la pelle rendendola luminosa, confezione travel friendly, fragranza piacevole e per niente invadente, prodotto vegan realizzato con 96% prodotti di origine naturale

CONTRO: prezzo alto senza sconti

Conclusione finale: Un prodotto che potrebbe essere apprezzato da persone che cercano una coccola profumata che renderà il viso luminoso eliminando l’opacità causata dall’inquinamento.

In conclusion, this tonic not only helps in the rejuvenation and well-groomed appearance of the skin but also acts as a shield against external aggressions, dehydration and pollutants.

Personal evaluation: I bought this promotional product and paid about 5 euros for it. For this price I think there is a good quality / price ratio. The first thing I liked about this tonic is the exotic fragrance, very pleasant and delicate. After application, the skin remains refreshed, smooth and radiant. The result is remarkable, and I've purchased the product a couple of times in the past. As I said at the beginning of the post, I would have bought it again, but unfortunately, it's no longer available. However, the brand's sheet masks are still available in stores, in case you're interested in the fragrance and the results on your skin. Another element that I liked is the packaging, practical, easy to place in a bag, beauty case or on the cosmetics shelf despite containing 100 ml of product.

PROS: refreshes the skin making it luminous, travel friendly package, pleasant and not at all intrusive fragrance, vegan product made with 96% natural origin products

CONS: high price when not discounted

Final conclusion: A product that could be appreciated by people looking for a scented cuddle that will make the face radiant by eliminating the dullness caused by pollution.

Notti a Serampore di Mircea Eliade - recensione di libro / Nights in Serampore by Mircea Eliade - book review

 

Carissimi amici e lettori,

Oggi ritorno con una nuova recensione letteraria e il libro che intendo recensire oggi è il racconto esoterico del filosofo e scrittore romeno Mircea Eliade. In passato avevo recensito il romanzo Maitreyi, ispirato al viaggio che Eliade intraprese in India alla fine degli anni venti e inizio anni trenta dello scorso secolo e come l’allora romanzo, anche questo racconto s’ispira allo stesso momento e alle stesse esperienze. Seppur simile per quanto riguarda gli elementi di tantrismo, filosofia e folklore indù, questo racconto imbocca la strada dell’occultismo, della religiosità cosmica in quello che sarà un precursore dei moderni romanzi onirici. Il racconto è stato pubblicato nel volume “Il segreto del dottore Honigberger” insieme alla novella omonime e in questa formula rientra nell'asse stilistico fantastico, insieme ad opere come "Il serpente" e "Signorina Christina".

Il racconto si sviluppa intorno alle esperienze che tre amici intellettuali, orientalisti, di origine, estrazione sociale e convinzione religiosa diverse, sperimentano nella foresta bengala durante un viaggio a Serampore, nei pressi di Calcutta. Bensì il racconto Notti a Serampore come altre opere del medesimo autore, s’ispiri a fatti ed eventi realmente accaduti e vissuti, questo racconto, come precedentemente dichiarato dallo stesso Eliade, si sviluppa in un’ambientazione immaginaria in quanto non esistono foreste intorno al Serampore. Il narratore è un giovane orientalista romeno arrivato in India due anni prima per studiare le filosofie e le religioni orientali, insieme a lui in questa avventura, il suo celebre insegnante di lingua persiana, Bogdanof, un ortodosso russo che manifesta comprensione per i musulmani disprezzando invece gli indù e Van Manen, bibliotecario e segretario della Società Asiatica del bengala e studioso della lingua tibetana. Insieme vivono un’esperienza che scuoterà dalle fondamenta i loro valori e la conoscenza della vita. Altri personaggi edificanti per la storia sono anche il milionario Budge che invita i nostri orientalisti nella sua casa a Serampore, Suren Bose, un professore all’università di Calcutta segretamente istruito alle pratiche tantriche, Swami Shivanda, insegnante e leader spirituale indù, praticante del tantra che ha abbandonato la sua professione di medico per dedicarsi alla ricerca dell’illuminazione, Nīlāmvara Dāsa, facoltoso nobile bengalese vissuto 150 anni prima degli eventi narrati nel racconto e sua moglie Lila, oggetto materiale degli eventi descritti. Da notare subito la bipartizione dei personaggi in personaggi di origine e filosofia occidentale ed europea (i nostri tre orientalisti) e personaggi autoctoni e affini alla spiritualità indica (Suren Bose e Swami Shivanda). 

Scritto in prima persona, con nove capitoli e 136 pagine, questo racconto si legge facilmente e finisce prima che ci rendiamo conto di averlo letto. Il finale lascia una sensazione di sbigottimento e confusione perché il lettore occidentale, come i tre orientalisti del racconto, cerca una spiegazione logica e scientifica agli eventi narrati. In Notti a Serampore, l’autore cerca di illustrare come a volte per comprendere certi momenti occorre rinunciare a verificare con i sensi e contrapporre alle conoscenze scientifiche e alle nozioni empiriche quello che viviamo. A volte bisogna contemplare il miracolo, il fantastico, il sovvranaturale e nel caso specifico di questo racconto, mettere in dubbio la linearità spazio temporale e aprirci all’idea del viaggio nel tempo, degli universi paralleli, del mistico, al tantrismo e agli altri concetti descritti nell’induismo e nel buddismo. Nonostante il titolo notti a Serampore, il racconto dipinge gli eventi di una sola notte dunque già dal titolo lo scrittore ci invita ad esplorare la storia da più punti di vista e non considerare un evento come un’entità singolare e unica. In conclusione, questo libro sarà apprezzato da persone che amano esplorare concetti, ideologie, filosofie, persone con mentalità e approcci aperti, flessibili, elastici e antidogmatici.

Today I return with a new literary review and the book I intend to review today is the esoteric tale of the Romanian philosopher and writer Mircea Eliade. In the past I had reviewed the novel Maitreyi, inspired by the journey that Eliade undertook in India in the late twenties and early thirties of the last century and like the then novel, this story is also inspired by the same moment and the same experiences. Although similar in terms of elements of tantrism, philosophy and Hindu folklore, this story takes the path of occultism, of cosmic religiosity in what will be a forerunner of modern oneiric novels. The story was published in the volume "The secret of doctor Honigberger" together with the novel of the same name and in this disposition, falls within the fantastic stylistic axis, together with works such as "The snake" and "Miss Christina".

The story develops around the experiences that three intellectual friends, orientalists, of different origins, social backgrounds and religious beliefs, experience in the forest of Bengal during a trip to Serampore, near Calcutta. Although the story Nights in Serampore like other works by the same author, is inspired by facts and real life events events, this story, as previously stated by Eliade himself, develops in an imaginary setting as there are no forests around Serampore . The narrator is a young Romanian orientalist who arrived in India two years earlier to study oriental philosophies and religions, together with him in this adventure, his famous Persian language teacher, Bogdanof, a Russian Orthodox who shows understanding for Muslims, despising instead the Hindus and Van Manen, librarian and secretary of the Asian Society of Bengal and scholar of the Tibetan language. Together they live an experience that will shake to the foundations their values and knowledge of life. Other edifying characters for the story are also the millionaire Budge who invites our orientalists to his house in Serampore, Suren Bose, a professor at the University of Calcutta secretly instructed in tantric practices, Swami Shivanda, Hindu teacher and spiritual leader, practitioner of tantra who abandoned his profession as a doctor to devote himself to the search for enlightenment, Nīlāmvara Dāsa, a wealthy Bengali nobleman who lived 150 years before the events narrated in the story and his wife Lila, the material object of the events described. Immediately note the bipartition of the characters into characters of Western and European origin and philosophy (our three orientalists) and autochthonous characters close to Indian spirituality (Suren Bose and Swami Shivanda).

Written in the first person, with nine chapters and 136 pages, this short story reads easily and is over before you know you've read it. The ending leaves a feeling of bewilderment and confusion because the western reader, like the three orientalists of the story, seeks a logical and scientific explanation for the events narrated. In Nights at Serampore, the author tries to illustrate how sometimes in order to understand certain moments, is necessary to give up verifying with the senses and contrast scientific knowledge and empirical notions with living experience. Sometimes we need to contemplate the miracle, the fantastic, the supernatural and in the specific case of this story, question the space-time linearity and open ourselves to the idea of time travel, parallel universes, the mystical, tantrism and other concepts described in Hinduism and Buddhism. Despite the title Nights in Serampore, the story paints the events of a single night, therefore already from the title the writer invites us to explore the story from multiple points of view and not to consider an event as a singular and unique entity. In conclusion, this book will be appreciated by people who like to explore concepts, ideologies, philosophies, open-minded people with flexible, elastic and anti-dogmatic approaches.

Siero viso ad alta efficacia Ialuron Plus di Bottega Verde - recensione consumatore / Bottega Verde's Ialuron Plus High-Effective Facial Serum - Consumer Review

 

Ciao carissimi,

Oggi ritorno con una recensione di un prodotto per la cura della pelle ed il prodotto di cui vi parlerò oggi è il Siero viso ad alta efficacia Ialuron Plus del marchio italiano Bottega Verde. Devo fare una precisazione già dall’inizio, cioè che bensì avessi comprato questo prodotto diverse volte perché mi aveva soddisfatto, al momento non pianifico di ricomprarlo per il semplice fatto che ho delle scorte del medesimo prodotto e perché ho ricevuto tantissimi sieri viso in regalo che mi basteranno per almeno un anno. Detto ciò, procederò con la mia recensione come ho sempre fatto finora.

Informazioni dal produttore: grazie alla formula in gel con acido Ialuronico concentrato apporta alla pelle idratazione per un'efficace azione anti-age aiutando a trattenere l’acqua normalmente presente nelle cellule e donando pertanto volume e compattezza. Riducendo l'aspetto delle rughe, migliora la condizione generale della pelle che appare più fresca, morbida, soda e levigata. Può essere usato per ogni tipo di pelle ed è ottimo come base per il trucco o combinato ad altri trattamenti viso.

Packaging: tubo in vetro dotato di un contagocce e contenente 30 ml di prodotto

Prezzo: 36 € o $ 42 a prezzo pieno ma molto spesso si trova scontato del 50% o di più. Personalmente non l’ho mai pagato più di 10€.

Metodo d’utilizzo: mattina e sera, prima di usare la crema viso, applicare il siero nelle zone più critiche del viso massaggiando fino a completo assorbimento

Valutazione personale: ho usato con soddisfazione questo siero per diversi mesi, ho anche regalato qualche confezione ad amiche e persone care. Nonostante fosse indicato per le persone fra i 40 ed i 50 anni, io ho iniziato ad usarlo anche prima di aver compiuto i 40 anni. La prima cosa che ho apprezzato durante l’applicazione, è la qualità del contagocce. Ho provato diversi sieri finora, alcuni senza contagocce altri con contagocce di dubbia qualità e appena ho aperto la sua confezione ho capito che dosare questo siero sarebbe stato molto facile. La sua consistenza gel moderatamente densa facilita l’applicazione e l’assorbimento nella pelle. Appena applicato rende la pelle soffice ma soda allo stesso tempo, levigata e luminosa. Mi ritengo soddisfatta di questo siero e considero che scontato a partire dal 50% in su possa avere un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Tuttavia, non lo acquisterei e non lo avrei mai acquistato a prezzo pieno. La lista degli ingredienti breve, è un altro aspetto che apprezzo.

PRO: alto contenuto di acido ialuronico, spesso scontato, confezione facile da usare

CONTRO: confezione in vetro

Conclusione: consiglio questo siero alle persone che desiderano combattere e limitare l’aspetto delle rughe e cercano un prodotto semplice, con alto contenuto di acido ialuronico spesso a prezzi scontati.

Today I'm back with a review of a skincare product, and the product I'll be discussing today is the Ialuron Plus High-Effectiveness Facial Serum from the Italian brand Bottega Verde. I should clarify right from the start: although I've purchased this product several times because I was satisfied with it, I don't currently plan to buy it again simply because I have stock of the same product and because I've received so many other facial serums that I'll last at least a year. That said, I'll proceed with my review as I always have.

Manufacturer's information: thanks to its gel formula with concentrated hyaluronic acid, it provides hydration to the skin for an effective anti-aging effect, helping to retain the water normally present in cells and thus providing volume and firmness. By reducing the appearance of wrinkles, it improves the overall condition of the skin, making it appear fresher, softer, firmer, and smoother. It can be used on all skin types and is excellent as a makeup base or combined with other facial treatments.

Price: €36 or $42 full price, but it's often discounted by 50% or more. I've never paid more than €10.

Personal evaluation: I've been using this serum with satisfaction for several months, even giving some bottles as gifts to friends and loved ones. Although it's intended for people in their 40s and 50s, I started using it even before I turned 40. The first thing I appreciated when applying it was the quality of the dropper. I've tried several serums so far, some without droppers, others with droppers of questionable quality, and as soon as I opened the bottle, I realized that dosing this serum would be very easy. Its moderately thick gel consistency makes it easy to apply and absorb into the skin. Upon application, it leaves skin soft yet firm, smooth, and radiant. I'm satisfied with this serum and believe that discounts of 50% or more suggest good value. However, I wouldn't buy it, and I never would have purchased it at full price. The short ingredient list is another aspect I appreciate.

Conclusion: I recommend this serum to people who want to combat and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and are looking for a simple product with a high hyaluronic acid content, often at discounted prices.

Una Stanza Tutta per Sé di Virginia Woolf - recensione letteraria / A Room of One's Own by Virginia Woolf - book review

 

Ciao carissimi amici e lettori, oggi recensirò il libro Una Stanza Tutta per Sé di una delle mie scrittrici preferite in assoluto, Virginia Woolf. Ammetto che ci ho messo diverse settimane a leggere questo breve saggio e voi vi chiederete cosa mi ha impedito a leggere tutto d’un fiato un libro di 126 pagine comprese l’introduzione, la nota bibliografica e la prefazione e devo subito spiegarvi il mio modo di leggere Virginia Woolf. La sua letteratura è molto descrittiva, elaborata e questo libro in particolare è un’analisi delle opere più importanti che le donne che hanno scritto prima di lei in confronto con la letteratura, chiamiamola maschile fino al 1928, perciò è ricca di riferimenti, piè di pagina, annotazioni ed anche considerevoli estrapolazioni filosofiche. Un tale libro si legge con calma, in silenzio e senza distrazioni, proprio come Virginia Woolf pensa che si debba scrivere e siccome in questo periodo queste condizioni mancavano, ho preferito rallentare il ritmo e leggere nei pochi istanti propizi per godermi il libro pienamente.

Come avevo già annunciato, questo libro, anche se voleva inizialmente essere un romanzo, è in realtà un saggio esteso basato su due conferenze tenute negli istituti femminili dell’Università di Cambridge nell’ottobre 1928. In questo saggio, l’autrice denuncia, attraverso metafore ed analisi comparative, le ingiustizie sociali che hanno inizialmente precluso e ulteriormente limitato, l’accesso delle donne alla produzione letteraria. Il punto saliente del saggio è l’idea che una donna ha bisogno di soldi suoi, qui descritti come 500 sterline l’anno e una stanza tutta sua per poter pensare, costruire idee e metterle per iscritto. La scrittrice analizza le opere delle grandi scrittrici prima di lei come Jane Austen (publicata anonimamente), George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans coniugata Cross), le sorelle Bronte, Charlotte, Emily e Anne conosciute all’epoca con i pseudonimi Currer Bell, Elis Bell e Acton Bell, e George Sand (Amantine Aurore Lucile Dupin) che scrissero romanzi e che oltretutto per poter essere publicate scelsero il nome di un uomo. La condizione della donna venne ampiamente discussa ed analizzata e le conclusioni sono che per secoli alla donna non fu solo precluso l’accesso allo studio per mancanza di soldi propri per accedere a corsi e università ma fu anche vittima di una società patriarcale che attribuiva alla donna solo ruoli in famiglia come genitrice e levatrice della futura generazione di scrittori, uomini di scienza, di politica e pilastri della storia. Il capitolo dove vengono discusse le vite femminili perse nel dimenticatoio della storia dietro faccende domestiche è particolarmente istruttivo. Come prova di tutto ciò, Virginia Woolf cita famosi uomini della storia come Oscar Browning, professore e personalità importante di Cambridge che sosteneva che “la migliore delle donne sia intellettualmente inferiore al peggiore degli uomini”, Cecil Grey, scrittore e compositore Scozzese che affermo che “una donna compositrice è come un cane che cammina sulle zampe posteriori. Non lo fa bene ma vi sorprende il fatto che lo faccia” o l’autore e giornalista britannico John Langdon Davies che nella sua A short history of Women avverte le donne che “quando non si desiderano figli, le donne non sono necessarie.” Come potete vedere, le asserzioni e conclusioni di Virginia Woolf sono saldamente documentate e visto che almeno uno di questi uomini sopravvisse alla Woolf di almeno tre decenni possiamo giustamente concludere che la situazione si prolungo fino alla fine del secolo scorso.

Un’altra osservazione degna di essere menzionata riguarda il cambiamento dello status precario delle donne durante le guerre. Virginia Woolf osserva come la guerra in Crimea finita nel 1856 e la prima guerra mondiale finita nel 1918 fecce uscire alla luce tante personalità femminili come Florence Nightingale e tantissime altre. Se fosse sopravvissuta anche alla seconda guerra mondiale, Virginia Woolf avrebbe trovato molte più conferme a questa teoria in quanto il cambiamento demografico dovuto alla morte di tanti uomini diede accesso sempre a più donne non solo alla possibilità di avere un redito proprio considerevole ma anche successo in attività con più notorietà. Visto che la libertà intellettuale dipende da cose materiali e le donne sono sempre state di diritto povere alla pari del figlio di uno schiavo ateniese, quando la situazione demografica subisce cambiamenti che permettono ai “figli dei schiavi” di emergere, nomi di donne verranno sempre più spesso accantonati a professioni di prestigio, opere di importanza e scoperte che favoriscono il progresso. Appurato questo fatto, la scrittrice introduce il concetto di intelletto androgino come coniugazione fra i tratti maschili e femminili per formare una mente superiore e pertanto anche una letteratura superiore. Quando l’uomo sposerà il suo lato femminile e la donna il suo lato maschile in un matrimonio di contrari si arriverà alla perfetta pienezza che garantirà pace e libertà.

Spero di aver attirato la vostra attenzione su questo saggio e avervi convinti ad assaggiare la letteratura di Virginia Woolf, una letteratura ricca di concetti e di informazioni, scorrevole nonostante le tante menzioni bibliografiche e rivelatrice per la capacità del nostro intelletto. Dopo aver letto questo libro io mi sento veramente più ricca, più soddisfatta e più consapevole di tutto quello che riguarda il mio intelletto nel mondo circostante. Consiglio vivamente di leggere questo libro non come attivista ma come ricercatore e più “ricercatori” ne avremo, più pienezza e pace si otterrà.

Hello dear friends and readers, today I will review the book A Room of One's Own by one of my all-time favorite writers, Virginia Woolf. I admit that it took me several weeks to read this essay and you will wonder what prevented me from reading in one breath a book of 126 pages including the introduction, the bibliographical note and the preface and I must immediately explain to you my way of reading Virginia Woolf. Her literature is very descriptive, elaborate and this book in particular is an analysis of the most important works that women who wrote before her in comparison with literature, let's call it of male origin up to 1928, so it is full of references, footnotes, annotations and also considerable philosophical extrapolations. Such a book is read calmly, in silence and without distractions, just as Virginia Woolf thinks it should be written and since these conditions were lacking in this period, I preferred to slow down the pace and read in the few propitious moments to fully enjoy the book.

As I had already announced, this book, although it was initially intended to be a novel, is actually an extended essay based on two lectures given at the women's institutes of the University of Cambridge in October 1928. In this essay, the author denounces, through metaphors and comparative analyses, the social injustices that initially precluded and further limited women's access to literary production. The salient point of the essay is the idea that a woman needs her own money, here described as 500 pounds a year and a room of her own to be able to think, build ideas and write them down. The writer analyses the works of the great writers before her such as Jane Austen (published anonymously), George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans married Cross), the Bronte sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne known at the time with the pseudonyms Currer Bell, Elis Bell and Acton Bell, and George Sand (Amantine Aurore Lucile Dupin) who wrote novels and who also chose a man's name to be published. The condition of women was widely discussed and analyzed and the conclusions are that for centuries women were not only precluded from accessing education due to a lack of their own money to attend courses and universities but were also victims of a patriarchal society that attributed to women only roles in the family as parents and care givers of the future generation of writers, men of science, politicians and pillars of history. The chapter where the female lives lost in the oblivion of history behind domestic chores are discussed is particularly instructive. As evidence of this, Virginia Woolf cites famous men in history such as Oscar Browning, a Cambridge professor and important figure who claimed that “the best of women is intellectually inferior to the worst of men”, Cecil Grey, a Scottish writer and composer who stated that “a woman composer is like a dog walking on its hind legs. She doesn’t do it well but it surprises you that she does it” or the British author and journalist John Langdon Davies who in his A short history of Women warns women that “when you don’t want children, women are not necessary.” As you can see, Virginia Woolf’s assertions and conclusions are solidly documented and since at least one of these men outlived Wolf by at least three decades we can rightly conclude that the situation continued until the end of the last century.

Another observation worth mentioning concerns the change in the precarious status of women during wars. Virginia Wolf observes how the Crimean War that ended in 1856 and the First World War that ended in 1918 brought to light many female personalities such as Florence Nightingale and many others. Had Virginia Woolf survived the Second World War, she would have found much more confirmation of this theory since the demographic change due to the death of many men gave more and more women access not only to the possibility of having a considerable income of their own but also to success in activities with greater notoriety. Since intellectual freedom depends on material things and women have always been by right as poor as the son of an Athenian slave, when the demographic situation undergoes changes that allow the "sons of slaves" to emerge, women's names will increasingly be set aside for prestigious professions, important works and discoveries that favor progress. Having established this fact, the writer introduces the concept of androgynous intellect as a conjugation between male and female traits to form a superior mind and therefore also a superior literature. When man marries his feminine side and woman her masculine side in a marriage of opposites, the perfect fullness will be reached that will guarantee peace and freedom.

I hope I have drawn your attention to this essay and convinced you to have a taste of Virginia Wolf's literature, a literature rich in concepts and information, flowing despite the many bibliographical references and revealing for the capacity of our intellect. After reading this book I truly feel richer, more satisfied and more aware of everything that concerns my intellect in the surrounding world. I strongly recommend reading this book not as an activist but as a researcher and the more "researchers" we have, the more fullness and peace we will obtain.

Ciao carissimi lettori,

Oggi farò un’altra dual review, cioè una recensione che comprende 2 prodotti. Se fin’ora queste recensioni comprendevano due prodotti complementari della stessa linea e dello stesso brand, stavolta farò addirittura una recensione comparativa in quanto recensirò due prodotti uguali ma appartenenti a due linee diverse dello stesso brand. Forse vi ricorderete alcune mie brevi recensioni su Instagram delle maschere viso Apivita e vi assicuro che è un brand che uso da parecchio tempo e che apprezzo moltissimo. Siccome è un brand che uso con abbastanza regolarità, ho sempre posticipato il momento delle recensioni ma credo che sia arrivato il momento di parlarvene. I prodotti che recensirò in questo momento sono gli Scrub Viso Esfoliante Delicato (Face Scrub Apricot) e Scrub Viso Illuminante Mirtillo (Face Scrub Bilberry). Prima di iniziare a recensire i prodotti, vi parlerò brevemente del brand. Apivita fu fondata ad Atene nel 1979 da due farmacisti pionieri della sostenibilità ambientale, Niki e Nikos Koutsianas. APIVITA significa letteralmente la “vita dell’ape” e propone prodotti di bellezza naturali ed efficaci per viso, corpo e capelli.

Until now, these reviews have included two complementary products from the same line and brand, but this time I'll be doing a comparative review, evaluating two similar products from two different lines of the same brand. You may remember some of my short reviews of Apivita face masks on Instagram, and I can assure you that it's a brand I've been using for a long time and really appreciate. Since I use it fairly regularly, I've always put off writing reviews, but I think the time has come to tell you about it. The products I'll be reviewing now are the Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub (Apricot Face Scrub) and the Blueberry Illuminating Facial Scrub (Bilberry Face Scrub). Before I begin reviewing the products, I'll briefly tell you about the brand. Apivita was founded in Athens in 1979 by two pharmacists and pioneers of environmental sustainability, Niki and Nikos Koutsianas. APIVITA literally means “bee life” and offers natural and effective beauty products for face, body, and hair.

 

Scrub Viso Esfoliante Delicato

Informazioni dal produttore: Realizzato con ingredienti 94% di origine naturale come i semi di albicocca finemente macinati, jojoba, miele di timo greco, estratto di cetriolo e oli essenziali di geranio e lavanda, rimuove le cellule morte riduce le imperfezioni, illumina la pelle per un look fresco e luminoso. La sua formula sostituisce l’acqua con un infuso di rosa canina antiossidante con un potente effetto antiossidante.

Valutazione personale: Inizio questa parte della recensione parlandovi della fragranza squisita e la consistenza molto piacevole che rendono il momento dell’utilizzo una vera coccola. È un prodotto delicato che rimuove le impurità, le cellule morte lasciando la pelle idratata e l’incarnato luminoso. Io ho una pelle mista che cambia anche in base alla stagione ma questo prodotto è adatto anche alle pelli secche e sensibili. La sua formula realizzata con ingredienti preziosi con potenti effetti antiossidanti migliora la texture della pelle rigenerandola e ammorbidendola. Dopo averlo usato la pelle acquisiva subito un aspetto levigato, uniforme, luminoso e sano. Considerando le sue proprietà, la consistenza, la fragranza ed i risultati, reputo che abbia un buon rapporto qualità prezzo nonostante la quantità ridotta.

PRO: realizzato con ingredienti naturali preziosi, confezione travel friendly che rispetta l’ambiente, scrub delicato, profumazione squisita, ottimi risultati nel rimuovere le cellule morte lasciando la pelle soffice, idratata e luminosa,

CONTRO: nessuno

Conclusione: consiglio questo scrub a tutte le persone che cercano un prodotto naturale, realizzato con ingredienti preziosi e nel rispetto dell’ambiente senza rinunciare ad una ottima esfoliazione e un’esperienza simile a quelle avute in costosi centri benessere.

Personal review: I'll start this part of the review by mentioning the exquisite fragrance and pleasant texture, which make using it a true treat. It's a gentle product that removes impurities and dead skin cells, leaving skin hydrated and a radiant complexion. I have combination skin that varies with the seasons, but this product is also suitable for dry and sensitive skin. Its formula, made with precious ingredients with powerful antioxidant effects, improves skin texture, regenerating and softening it. After using it, my skin immediately looked smooth, even, radiant, and healthy. Considering its properties, texture, fragrance, and results, I think it's good value despite the small quantity.

PROS: Made with precious natural ingredients, travel-friendly packaging that respects the environment, gentle scrub, exquisite fragrance, excellent results in removing dead skin cells, leaving skin soft, hydrated, and radiant.

CONS: None

Conclusion: I recommend this scrub to anyone looking for a natural product, made with precious ingredients and respecting the environment, without sacrificing excellent exfoliation and an experience similar to those found at expensive spas.

Informazioni dal produttore: con una formula naturale a base infuso antiossidante di rosa selvatica, frutti di mirtillo, mandorla, semi di jojoba finemente macinati, miele di timo greco, olio essenziale di lavanda e oli d'oliva e di mandorla, lo scrub viso al mirtillo esfolia, illumina la pelle spenta, migliora texture e luminosità della pelle stimolando il rinnovamento cellulare. Usato regolarmente, riduce macchie e discromie.

Valutazione personale: a differenza dell’altro scrub, questo prodotto può essere usato anche come impacco, anzi, per risultati migliori, è consigliabile applicarlo e attendere 5 minuti prima di massaggiare e risciacquare. Al tatto, lo scrub è soffice e cremoso, dopo l’applicazione la pelle aveva un aspetto più luminoso, morbido e fine. Io soffro di rosacea e discromie ma non posso testimoniare dei netti miglioramenti di queste problematiche grazie all’uso di questo prodotto. Visto che faccio una recensione comparativa, devo precisare sin dall’inizio che nonostante mi sia piaciuto usare questo scrub, preferisco nettamente lo scrub all’ albicocca per l’azione esfoliante migliore e la profumazione molto gradevole. Nel caso di un futuro acquisto, ricomprerò lo Scrub Viso Esfoliante Delicato.

PRO: realizzato con 90% ingredienti di origine naturale, confezione travel friendly, esfoliazione delicata che lo rende perfetto per le pelli sensibili e per realizzare impacchi.

CONTRO: azione esfoliante insufficiente per i miei gusti e avrei preferito che avesse anche una fragranza

Conclusione: Consiglio questo prodotto alle persone con pelli sensibili che cercano uno scrub delicato, fragrance free da usare anche per impacchi.

Blueberry Illuminating Facial Scrub

Manufacturer's information: with a natural formula based on an antioxidant infusion of wild rose, blueberry fruit, almond, finely ground jojoba seeds, Greek thyme honey, lavender essential oil, and olive and almond oils, this blueberry facial scrub exfoliates, brightens dull skin, improves texture and radiance, and stimulates cell renewal. With regular use, it reduces blemishes and discolorations.

Packaging: 50ml tube made from at least 45% post-consumer recycled polyethylene (MDPE) and a PP cap. Both the tube, once sectioned and washed, and the cap are 100% recyclable.

Color: white with small reddish granules.

Directions for use: use 1-2 times a week after your regular cleansing routine, applying with circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water.

Personal evaluation: Unlike the other scrub, this product can also be used as a mask pack. In fact, for best results, it's recommended to apply it and wait 5 minutes before massaging and rinsing. The scrub is soft and creamy to the touch, and after application, my skin looked brighter, softer, and more refined. I suffer from rosacea and discoloration, but I can't say I've seen any significant improvements in these issues with this product. Since this is a comparative review, I must point out from the start that although I enjoyed using this scrub, I definitely prefer the apricot scrub for its better exfoliating action and very pleasant scent. If I ever make a future purchase, I will definitely repurchase the Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub.

PROS: made with 90% natural ingredients, travel-friendly packaging, gentle exfoliation making it perfect for sensitive skin and for making mask packs.

CONS: Exfoliating action is not enough for my taste, and I would have preferred it to have a fragrance.

Conclusion: I recommend this product to people with sensitive skin looking for a gentle, fragrance-free scrub that can also be used for mask packs.
