Solo Cose Belle - giugno 2021 / Only beautiful things - June 2021
Ciao carissimi lettori,

Hello dear readers,
For this time I am late with the usual post dedicated to the beautiful things of this month, not because there are none but because I have been very busy and I have not found the time. Some of the beautiful things I would like to tell you about are among those that have stolen my time, and indeed, it is better to say things that I have given priority to.
First of all, since the cinemas are open and you can also consume popcorn and drinks inside, my husband and I decided to commit every weekend that was not already reserved for anything else, to go to the cinema. We also did it in marathon style and therefore saw more films in succession. For us, going to the cinema is relaxing, it allows us to recharge our batteries and discover new worlds and new ideas. Here are some of the movies we have seen. I'm curious if you have seen them or if you intend to go and see them?

Another beautiful thing that has kept me very busy this month is the blooming of my orchids. For almost two months (in an unusual period for their flowering), several orchids have started to bloom. Therefore the orchid needs attention, you have to feel its needs, take care of it, ensure them the right lighting and the right amount of water and thus they are a bit demanding, especially if they are several, as in my case. Some have already opened their buds even in January, February or March, some have done so after a pause of a few years. As my acquaintances and friends in real life do not know my passion for orchids, I decided to share photos and stories about these wonderful creatures with them on social network channels. You as readers of this blog are now familiar with this hobby of mine but I share nevertheless the latest blooms with you too. These you see here have been in bloom for a while, so soon they will begin to lose flowers and petals and since I have others that are starting to be reborn and that have already pushed their stems forward, you will soon see others.

Solo Cose Belle - edizione Maggio / Only beautiful things - month of May edition

Hello dear readers,
The moment of the month when I share with you the beautiful things I have experienced that month has finally come. It will not be a long post also because those who follow me on social networks, facebook or instagram, have already had the opportunity to discover the most beautiful thing I celebrated this month. The Eurovision international music festival took place this month. Romania, my country of origin, did not pass the semifinal on Tuesday 18 May and therefore did not participate in the final on Saturday, 22 May. I followed the final intensely because Italy participated with my favorite Italian group, the Maneskin and with the song that also won the Sanremo festival "Zitti e buoni" and I was delighted to discover that I was not the only one to appreciate their music. For those who have not had the opportunity to see the final or read articles about this moment, I am pleased to inform you that after finishing in fourth place following the vote of the specialty jury of the different countries, Italy won the Eurovision after the public vote. Italy received the highest score from the televoting public, 318 points, (I think it is important to specify that a country cannot vote for its competitors), thefore has presented the artist liked the most by the international voting public. This means that thanks to the performance of the Maneskin group, Italy will have the opportunity to organize this event next year. In case you have not had the opportunity to hear their song, I leave you here the link for the song "Zitti e buoni" (Shut up and behave) original version, that is, not the version without profanity presented to the Eurovision.

Another nice thing about this month that I would like to share with you is the fact that I was finally able to see a movie at the cinema. Last weekend, close to the Eurovision final, we also went to the cinema to see a movie. The choice was not very wide and therefore as horror lovers we chose to see the film "The Unholy". The movie was acceptable but I confess watching a movie without being able to crunch on popcorn or have a drink (due to the restriction present at the moment in Italy which allows the consumption of food and drinks only outdoors) didn't felt the same. I will probably return to see other movies even in these conditions because I have a very long list of films to see but I can't wait for things to return to normal. All in all, having the chance to see a movie on the big screen is really a good thing, that good as to talk about it with you.

Horror movie La Llorona review - the most traumatic esperience of my life!

Dear readers, you may wonder what I have in mind that encourages me to go and see these horror films and moreover to the cinema, but please, be patient for a moment that I will immediately get to the traumatic part not before spending a few words on this movie. If you are a fanatic of horror movies as I have recently become, you must know that this film is closely linked to the CONJURING saga and is part, along with other films of this genre, of the Conjuring Universe which includes films as (I want to name only the most recent and famous ones): Conjuring of 2013, Conjuring Einfield case of 2016 having as protagonists the actors Pattrick Wilson and Vera Farminga, the Annabelle series also closely related to the cases of paranormal phenomena described by the two US demonologists: Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren, and the recent movie The Nun. Many say that even the film Crucifixion, just seen at the cinema, is part of the same saga, I can't assure it since all the films included in The Conjuring Universe were distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures while Crucifixion was distributed by Adler Entretainment. With this paranthesis closed, I would also like to announce two more films before discussing La Llorona, this year "Annabelle comes home" is apparently due to come out in summer, it is estimated that for next year we will be able to see the movie The Conjuring 3 in theaters and as for the movie The Crooked Man even though filming is done, the release date was not established yet. We are still waiting !!!!
Let's get back to to the film La Llorona, as for the other films in the Conjuring saga the producer is always James Wan and was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures in more at some point is named and shown the Annabelle doll by father Perez already seen in the film Annabelle in 2014. This film starts from a folkloric legend spread throughout Latin America. Although the stories were originally different for each tribe, the Spanish invasion unified them all, based on the idea of the woman bride and mother who weeps uninterruptedly for the children she killed once she discovered her husband's betrayal. Let me tell you that in my opinion this film is more terrifying than the other films in this saga, it has more moments of suspense and creates a certain state of apprehension. The director has done a good job in my opinion always taking the perfect moment to create panic and seizing every moment to amplify the terror to paroxysmal levels. The make up was excellent for a horror movie, I have something to say about clothing but we can also ignore that.
We get now to why this film was the most traumatic experience of my life, but I must ask you first to prepare yourselves because you won't believe it at all. The trauma is not due to the fact that the film was scary, quite the opposite. In the cinema theatre, near me there was a girl, under 18 who came with her boyfriend, probably to make a good impression, a shame that all the time she did nothing else but scream, true paroxystic shouts combined to crysis of crying and anger. Behind me, two other ladies in their 40s were screaming in competition with the girl. At first I couldn't help laughing at their reaction but in the long run I really got annoyed wasting all the terrifying moments because their cries anticipated them. At one point I thought that if the producers had heard the cries of the people involved, they would have chosen them to shoot the movie with a low-cost agenda.
In conclusion the traumatic experience was due to the fact that I could not really enjoy a horror movie. Every thrill that was not fully experienced was similar to a non reached orgasm, so I believe I have well illustrated the trauma I experienced. I fully recommend checking out who is sitting next to you if you should decide to watch the movie.I hope you enjoyed my article and my review, and I'll get back to you at the next post.

Crucifixion movie and the Tanacu case / Il film Crucifixion e il caso Tanacu / Filmul Crucifixion si cazul Tanacu
Sper ca v-a placut postarea mea si o gasiti folositoare in previziunea vizionarii filmului Crucifixion.
ENGLISH
Dear readers,
Today I want to talk about a film that is very popular in this period, the horror movie Crucifixion, a film based on the true story of the exorcism in the Tanacu case. For those who do not know the case, in the summer of 2005, at the Tanacu monastery in the Vaslui district an exorcism was performed in which the young Maricica Irina Cornici was tied to a cross without food or water for at least three days, which led to the her death, performed by priest Daniel Corogeanu and four nuns, if I'm not mistaken. In the film the names of the people involved have been slightly modified, Maricica Irina Cornici becomes Adelina Marinescu, the priest Daniel Corogeanu becomes priest Dumitru and the friend who persuades Maricica to stay in the monastery, called Vaduva (widow) in the film, in reality it can only be a surname, not an actual name. Even if the film goes from a disguised skepticism and the protagonist tries to expose the clergy and highlight the atrocities committed, in the end the conclusion is that in Tanacu there was a real case of demonic possession and that Adelina was "possessed". I do not want to talk so much about the movie, because I'm sure that those interested in the genre will watch it anyway, but I will talk about the real facts of the Tanacu case. Maricica came from a family with a history of psychiatric illness, her father committed suicide in front of his daughter when she was only 2 years old. At 3 years her mother abandoned her and ended up in an orphanage where she did her best to defend herself from abuse and violence that the other young orphans and the orphanage men's staff were trying to do to her. She became obsessed with the idea of virginity and the autopsy performed on Maricica revealed that she was a virgin when she died so she has nothing in common with the character Adelina who would have been seduced and abandoned in Germany when she was there for work . In fact, Maricica worked in Germany and raised 3700 euros with which she wanted to buy a small house. Back in Romania, she was persuaded by a friend to enter the monastery because she would have had a peaceful life, nothing more distant from reality. As soon as she entered the monastery, the hard-earned money obtained in Germany were confiscated from Maricica, even though she had not yet taken the vows to become a nun. This alone was enough to cause a nervous breakdown in a person. To this fact is added the terrible moment in which Maricica tells to the priest Daniel during the confession the fact that she has masturbated herself and is classified as a sinner and masturbation is designed as sexual intercourse with the devil. After these events, Maricica has a nervous breakdown, and is hospitalized in Vaslui where she is diagnosed with "disorganized schizophrenia" and sedatives are prescribed to her. Once she is released from the hospital she has nowhere to go but to return to the Tanacu monastery where, at the next schizophrenic crisis, she is tied with chains to a two wooden cross-shaped boards , a towel is shoved in her mouth, her mouth being sealed then with adhesive to prevent it from screaming obscene words, is bathed with holy water, starved and thirstied until she succumbs. The Orthodox Christian religion does not recognize exorcism, does not officially prepare priests to practice it, and rare cases of people considered "possessed" are faced with prayers without depriving the person of freedom. Finally, the priest Corogeanu and the nuns who participated in the exorcism were sentenced to prison terms between 8 and 14 years for the deprivation of liberty, serving about two thirds of the sentence and are currently free and in good health.
At that time I studied at the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology, specializing in Psychology at the West University in Timisoara and remember that we discussed this case with colleagues and professors, coming to the conclusion that it was a case of schizophrenia.
Regarding the Tanacu case, the public opinion in Romania is divided, on the one hand, a non negligible percentage of the population that consider it a barbaric act, typical for the Middle Ages, on the other hand another considerable percentage that is convinced that the priest Corogeanu has saved the spirit of Maricica, and last but not least we have the ecclesiastical authorities of the Romanian church which has declared that in cases of potentially possessed persons, the planned measures are prayers, sprinkle with holy water and under no circumstances they can apply physical restrictions, chains or immobilization of any kind.
Another film inspired by this case is the film "Beyond the hills" directed by Cristian Mungiu and awarded at the Cannes Film Festival. As for the film Crucifixion, I would like to inform you that several characters have been interpreted by Romanian actors, like Adelina, played by 'actress Ada Lupu, the priest Anton, played by Corneliu Ulici, the priest Dumitru played by Catalin Babliuc, Sister Lina, played by Ozana Oancea, Tavian, the gypsy boy played by Florian Voicu, his father Amanar, played by Radu Banzaru and not last the doctor Funar interpreted by the famous Maia Morgenstern. The Romanian phrases in this film are pronounced correctly. Not that credible aspects are: the illustration of the standard of living in Romania, I do not remember such a poor country, even in the 90s, after the revolution, the streets of the country so well lit, not even on the main roads can be found 10 poles in about 500 meters of road and the presence of many Romanians with dark eyes and hair in an area of the country dominated by blond hair and blue eyes.
I hope you enjoyed my post and found it useful in anticipation of seeing the film Crucifixion. I greet you warmly and look forwards seeing you at the next post!
