Solo Cose Belle - Settembre 2021 / Only beautiful things - September 2021

Carissimi amici e lettori, 

È arrivato finalmente il momento di condividere con voi le cose belle che ho vissuto al mese di settembre. 

Prima di tutto vorrei parlarvi di un film che mi ha fortemente impressionato e perciò per me è stato una bella esperienza. Ho visto diversi film al cinema  ma questo è l'unico che ha una storia vera e tratta un'argomento importante che merita finalmente di essere portato all'attenzione del mondo intero. Il film è Blue Bayou, scritto e diretto da Justin Chon (che tra l'altro recita anche la parte del protagonista), un film che nonostante l'argomento triste che tratta, è un film talmente ben realizzato che è stato nominato alla sezione Un Certain Regard del 74° Festival di Cannes. Confesso di essermi emozionata moltissimo e di aver guardato più della del film con gli occhi lucidi. Qualcuno potrebbe chiedersi come posso considerare una cosa bella, una storia triste, tanto triste da far piangere. Beh, la risposta è semplice, perché è stata fatta con il cuore, perché è stata realizzata bene, perché fa riflettere e perché ha fatto correre una cosa che spero non diventi mai immobile in me, la mia mente, il mio pensiero. Non voglio fare spoiler e quindi non vi racconterò il film perché voglio prima di tutto farvi venire voglia di vederlo. E se ci andate, restate fino alla fine, perché dopo quello che è un finale hollywoodiano, che probabilmente è stato il motivo per il quale il film non ha vinto il premio al festival di Cannes, l'argomento che ha ispirato la pellicola diventa concreto e sconvolgente.

The time has finally come for me to share with you the beautiful things I experienced in September.

First of all I would like to tell you about a movie that greatly impressed me and therefore it was a good experience for me.  I have seen several films at the cinema but this is the only one that has a true story and deals with an important topic that finally deserves to be brought to the attention of the whole world.  The film is Blue Bayou, written and directed by Justin Chon (who among other things also plays the part of the protagonist), a movie that despite the sad story it relates to, is a film so well made that it was nominated in the section A Certain Regard at the 74th Cannes Film Festival.  I confess I was very excited and watched more than half of the movie with tears in my eyes.  Some may wonder how I can consider a beautiful thing, a sad story, so sad it makes you cry.  Well, the answer is simple, because it was done with the heart, because it was done well, because it makes you think and because it put motion to something that I hope will never get blocked in me, my mind, my thoughts.  I don't want to make spoilers so I won't tell you more about the movie because I want to make you want to see it first.  And if you go there, stay until the end, because after what is a Hollywood ending, which was probably the reason why the film did not win the award at the Cannes Film Festival, the argument that inspired the film becomes obvious and shocking.

Dopo avervi parlato di questo film vorrei condividere con voi anche un gesto semplice ma molto carino di mio marito. Settimana scorsa sono tornata a casa da lavoro e ho trovato un mazzo di fiori. Alla mia domanda "con quale occasione?", mio marito mi rispose "perché mi sono reso conto che sono passati un paio di mesi dall'ultima volta che ti ho regalato dei fiori." Il gesto si è ripetuto anche questa settimana, probabilmente dovuto all'entusiasmo manifestato da me la prima volta. Comunque, pensieri simili per me significano molto e sono sicuramente delle cose bellissime da condividere.

Spero che anche per voi questo mese sia stato un mese soddisfacente e che abbiate vissuto tante belle cose.

After talking to you about this film, I would also like to share with you a simple but very nice gesture from my husband.  I came home from work last week and found a bouquet of flowers.  To my question "on what occasion?", My husband replied "because I realized that it has been a couple of months since I last gave you flowers."  The gesture was repeated this week too, probably due to the enthusiasm shown by me the first time.  However, such thoughts mean a lot to me and are certainly beautiful things to share.

I hope that this month has been a satisfying month for you too and that you have experienced many beautiful things.

Uso da molto tempo questo prodotto come base prima di applicare lo smalto e anche come semplice smalto trasparente per un look curato e semplice. Procediamo adesso con la recensione:

Informazioni dal produttore: Questo prodotto è uno smalto trasparente ideato per il trattamento delle unghie fragili che si spezzano. Usato come base, rinforza le unghie rendendole brillanti, usato come top coat, prolunga la durata e la qualità dello smalto. La sua formula con Alga Rossa Palmaria è ricca in oligoelementi e vitamine per un’azione protettiva, ristrutturante ed emolliente.

Packaging: elegante e pratica boccetta in vetro contenente 10 ml di prodotto.

Consistenza e colore: il prodotto si presenta con un colore fucsia semitrasparente mentre è nella confezione ma dopo la stesura diventa trasparente e luminoso.

Profumo: delicato e piacevole con tenta floreale

Valutazione personale: Ho usato molto spesso questo prodotto singolarmente per trattare le mie unghie quando avevano tendenza di spezzarsi e in quei casi ho apprezzato moltissimo il look naturale, delicato e curato che regalava alle mie mani. Le unghie acquistano un aspetto luminoso e brillante davvero invidiabile. L’ho adoperato anche come base prima di applicare lo smalto per proteggere le unghie dall’effetto nocivo dello smalto e ho notato che le unghie non si danneggiavano cosi facilmente e lo smalto durava molto di più. Non l’ho quasi mai usato come top coat in quanto lo ritenevo un prodotto troppo prezioso per usarlo in questa veste, usando invece prodotti meno costosi. Le poche volte che l’ho utilizzato anche come top coat non ho notato una differenza significativa tra la durata che questo trattamento aggiungeva allo smalto in confronto con altri prodotti meno costosi.

PRO: buon trattamento per le unghie fragili con tendenza a spezzarsi, regala un aspetto naturale, luminoso e curato, protegge le unghie dall’azione dannosa degli smalti

CONTRO: costoso quando non è scontato

Conclusione: consiglio questo prodotto alle persone che hanno unghie fragili o che cercano un prodotto che possa proteggere le loro unghie dall’azione dannosa dello smalto

Consistency and color: the product shows a semi-transparent fuchsia color while it is in the package but after application it becomes transparent and bright.

Personal evaluation: I used this product very often on its own to treat my nails when they had a tendency to break and in those cases I really appreciated the natural, delicate and cared look it gave to my hands. Nails acquire a truly enviable bright and shiny look. I also used it as a base before applying the nail polish to protect the nails from the harmful effect of the nail polish and I noticed that the nails were not damaged so easily and the nail polish lasted much longer. I almost never used it as a top coat as I thought it was a too precious product to use in this capacity, using less expensive products instead. The few times that I have also used it as a top coat I have not noticed a significant difference between the duration that this treatment added to the enamel in comparison with other less expensive products.

PRO: good treatment for brittle nails with a tendency to break, gives a natural, bright and well-groomed appearance, protects the nails from the harmful action of enamels

CONS: expensive when not in sale

Conclusion: I recommend this product to people who have brittle nails or who are looking for a product that can protect their nails from the damaging action of nail polish

La Frontiera di Alessandro Leogrande - recensione letteraria / The Frontier by Alessandro Leogrande - literary review

Oggi torno da voi con la recensione di un romanzo sconvolgente, doloroso e memorabile, il libro La Frontiera del compianto scrittore tarantino, Alessandro Leogrande. È l’ultimo libro che ho letto e anche se ho già recensito ma non ancora pubblicato sul blog, diversi altri libri, ho scelto, vista la situazione attuale nel mondo, di condividere subito le riflessioni di questo romanzo.

La Frontiera non è opera di finzione ma un reportage narrativo che riporta con precisione giornalistica il fenomeno complesso della migrazione sotto tutti i suoi aspetti: naufragi, disperazione, fuga, prigioni, dittature, trafficanti, baby-scafisti, ostilità. La Frontiera narra le storie di persone come Shorsh, in fuga dal Iraq e costretto ad abbandonare il suo amato Kurdistan per colpa del regime di Saddam, persone come Ali che scappa dalle violenze delle tribù di Darfour per finire nelle grinfie dei caporali dei campi di pomodori a Foggia, come Hamid, un giovane somalo sopravvissuto nel 2011 ad uno dei più grandi naufraghi architettato dalle truppe libiche, che dichiaravano il mar Mediterraneo aperto e organizzavano barche con migranti di colore solo per farle naufragare al largo delle coste libiche . Un’attenzione speciale viene dedicata ai profughi dell’Eritrea, persone in fuga da un regime oppressivo, totalitario, un regime che impone la leva militare obbligatoria indipendentemente da sesso o età della persona, una leva a tempo indeterminato. A parlare delle atrocità del regime di Isaias Afefewerki sono Syoum, R., Gabriel Tzeggai e tanti altri profughi che non hanno voluto lasciare un nome, neanche inventato o l’iniziale per paura di ripercussioni di un regime che ha agenti segreti ovunque e tentacoli velenosi su tutto il continente europeo. Le confessioni più sconvolgenti sono quelle di Syoum ed R. sopravvissuti a due dei naufraghi più disastrosi della storia, confessioni corroborate anche da personalità come don Mussie Zerai e Alganesh Fessaha che cercano con mezzi irrisori si strappare dalle grinfie dei malviventi i poveracci che finiscono nelle prigioni eritree come oggetto di ricatto per le famiglie o in mancanza di esse come carne da macello. È in questo contesto che leggiamo non solo di torture inimmaginabili ma anche di uccisioni allo scopo di far funzionare una rete molto articolata di traffico d’organi. Fa impressione scoprire che la maggior parte delle vittime dei più atroci naufragi nelle coste italiane sono eritrei ed etiopi, persone in fuga da paesi che precedentemente sono stati sotto occupazione italiana. La causa, spiegata puntualmente da Yvan Sagnet, è che a differenza dell’Africa occidentale sotto occupazione francese e tedesca dove sono state create delle colonie in grado di funzionare, il Corno d’Africa, sotto occupazione italiana e belga e in particolare in “triangolo italiano” (Eritrea, Etiopia e Somalia) è stato abbandonato in fretta e furia al momento della sconfitta bellica e lasciato in balia alle forze locali in una disorganizzazione totale che ha generato dittature.

L’elemento più intrigante di questo reportage narrativo è che l’autore ha seguito, ove possibile, le storie di questi profughi anche dopo aver raggiunto il suolo italiano. In pochi si sono soffermati in Italia, forse anche per via di certi elementi di propaganda politica oppure spaventati da casi di sevizie, pestaggi e torture perpetrati da carabinieri, personaggi come don Cesare Lodeserto e diversi mediatori culturali e membri del suo staff al centro Regina Pacis a San Foca oppure casi come l’assassinio di Muhammad Shahzad Khan a Roma, a Torpignattara, per mano di giovani istigati dall’odio dei genitori. La maggior parte sono andati oltre, si sono stabiliti in Germania o nel nord Europa dove le modalità di integrazione sono organizzate meglio, ma alcuni, come Shorsh o Gabriel Tzeggai, sono rimasti in Italia, conducendo una vita umile grazie ai loro negozi kebap o raccogliendo articoli e informazioni per la posterità. Devo comunque specificare che in questo contesto Leogrande non racconta solo i casi di discriminazione ma parla anche di persone come Costantino, Onder, Grazia o Alessandro che durante il naufragio a Lampedusa vicino alla costa dell’Isola dei Conigli, salvano e tirano fuori dall’acqua con le loro braccia più persone possibili, mettendo a rischio la loro vita. Di queste persone i sopravvissuti come Robert, Luam e Syoum parleranno a lungo con riconoscenza.

Le storie sono tante, perché Leogrande non si sofferma solo agli incidenti nelle acque italiane ma evoca anche il fenomeno migratorio in Grecia con gli incidenti a Patrasso e le violenze perpetrate dal partito Alba Dorata come anche la migrazione attraverso la rota dei Balcani. Sono storie di persone come Ahmad, Aamir e Ansori che rischiano la loro vita saltando sui traghetti o nascondendosi nei camion perché restando in paesi come Siria o Afganistan, la morte è più probabile del rischio di annegamento, asfissia o congelamento che minaccia la loro fuga nelle montagne dei Balcani rinchiusi in spazi angusti.

La maggior parte delle recensioni che ho letto online si concludono con frasi del capitolo “La violenza del mondo” dove l’autore analizza il dipinto di Caravaggio Il Martirio di san Matteo ma vista la situazione attuale in Afganistan, io preferirei concludere porgendo alla vostra attenzione alcune frasi del capitolo “Altri Arrivi”: “Se lo fanno, se continuano a scappare in massa, è perché stanno fuggendo da una violenza ancora più efferata. Dalla certezza della morte, o da quella di una vita non vissuta.”

Today I return to you with the review of a shocking, painful and memorable novel, the book The Frontier by the late writer from Taranto, Alessandro Leogrande. It is the last book I read and although I have already reviewed but not yet published on the blog, several other books, I have decided, given the current situation in the world, to immediately share the reflections of this novel.

The Frontier is not a work of fiction but a narrative reportage that reports with journalistic precision the complex phenomenon of migration in all its aspects: shipwrecks, desperation, escape, prisons, dictatorships, traffickers, baby-smugglers, hostilities. The Frontier tells the stories of people like Shorsh, fleeing Iraq and forced to abandon his beloved Kurdistan because of the Saddam regime, people like Ali who escapes the violence of the tribes of Darfur to end up in the clutches of the foremen of the tomato fields in Foggia, like Hamid, a young Somali survivor in 2011 of one of the greatest shipwrecked by Libyan troops, who declared the Mediterranean sea open and organized boats with black migrants only to make them shipwreck off the Libyan coast. Special attention is paid to refugees from Eritrea, people fleeing an oppressive, totalitarian regime, a regime that imposes compulsory military service regardless of the person's gender or age, indefinitely. To talk about the atrocities of Isaias Afewerki's regime are Syoum, R., Gabriel Tzeggai and many other refugees who did not want to leave a name, not even invented or the initial letter for fear of repercussions of a regime that has secret agents everywhere and poisonous tentacles throughout the European continent. The most shocking confessions are those of Syoum and R. survivors of two of the most disastrous castaways in history, confessions also corroborated by personalities such as Don Mussie Zerai and Alganesh Fessaha who try with trifling means to pull off from the clutches of the criminals, the poor Eritrean people who end up in their prisons as an object of blackmail for families or in the absence of means, as meat for slaughter. It is in this context that we read not only of unimaginable torture but also of killings in order to operate a very complex network of organ trafficking. It is impressive to discover that most of the victims of the most atrocious shipwrecks on the Italian coasts are Eritreans and Ethiopians, people fleeing from countries that were previously under Italian occupation. The cause, promptly explained by Yvan Sagnet, is that unlike West Africa under French and German occupation where colonies capable of functioning were created, the Horn of Africa, under Italian and Belgian occupation and in particular in the "Italian triangle "(Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia) was abandoned in a hurry at the time of the war defeat and left to the mercy of local forces in a total disorganization that generated dictatorships.

The most intriguing element of this narrative reportage is that the author followed, where possible, the stories of these refugees even after reaching Italian soil. Few have stopped in Italy, perhaps also due to certain elements of political propaganda or frightened by cases of torture, beatings and agressions perpetrated by the carabinieri, by characters like Don Cesare Lodeserto and various cultural mediators and members of his staff at the Regina Pacis center in San Foca or cases such as the murder of Muhammad Shahzad Khan in Rome, in Torpignattara, at the hands of young people instigated by the hatred of their parents. Most have gone further, settled in Germany or northern Europe where integration arrangements are better organized, but some, like Shorsh or Gabriel Tzeggai, have remained in Italy, leading a humble life thanks to their kebap shops or collecting articles and information for posterity. However, I must specify that in this context Leogrande not only tells the cases of discrimination but also talks about people like Costantino, Onder, Grazia or Alessandro who during the shipwreck in Lampedusa near the coast of Isola dei Conigli, save and pull out of the water with their arms as many people as possible, putting their lives at risk. Of these people, survivors like Robert, Luam and Syoum will speak in the long run with gratitude.

The stories are many, because Leogrande not only focuses on the incidents in Italian waters but also evokes the migratory phenomenon in Greece with the incidents in Patras and the violence perpetrated by the Golden Dawn party as well as migration throughout the Balkan route. There are stories of people like Ahmad, Aamir and Ansori who risk their lives when jumping on ferries or hiding in trucks because by staying in countries like Syria or Afghanistan, death is more likely than the risk of drowning, asphyxiation or freezing which threatens their escape to the mountains of the Balkans locked up in tight spaces.

Most of the reviews I have read online end with sentences from the chapter "The violence of the world" where the author analyzes Caravaggio's painting, The Martyrdom of St. Matthew but given the current situation in Afghanistan, I would prefer to conclude by turning to your attention some sentences from the chapter “Other Arrivals”: “If they do, if they continue to flee massively, it is because they are fleeing from an even more brutal violence. From the certainty of death, or from that of a life not lived."

Maschera al siero di mirtilli Lanbena - recensione consumatore / Lanbena Blueberry serum face mask - consumer review

 

Cari amici e lettori,

Qualche tempo fa vi avevo recensito il siero ai mirtilli del marchio giapponese Lanbena e oggi vorrei recensire la maschera viso in tessuto equivalente. Come ben ricordate, Lanbena è uno dei brand produttori di cosmetici che preferisco di più e ho avuto l’occasione di provare diversi loro prodotti ma nonostante ciò, il prodotto che preferisco di più sono le maschere viso in tessuto. Ho provato diverse maschere, idratanti illuminanti, anti-aging, anti fatica, rinvigorenti, nutrienti e non ho ancora finito di provarle tutte. Condividerò con voi le recensioni delle maschere provate finora e questa volta è il turno della Maschera al siero di Mirtilli Lanbena. Informazioni dal produttore: Questa maschera realizzata in tessuto di seta giapponese e arricchita con estratti di Saccharomyces Uvarum e Ophiogon Japonicus è un’ottima cura per la tutti i tipi di pelle che cercano di combattere i primi segni di invecchiamento. La confezione contiene 22 ml di siero ai mirtilli nella versione busta piccola e 25 ml nella versione busta grande. Usata regolarmente questa maschera combatte la comparsa delle prime rughe, riduce i pori, rassoda la pelle del viso contribuendo a ristabilire l’elasticità, idrata la pelle e aumenta la capacità della pelle di immagazzinare acqua aumentando quindi l’elasticità, ripara il tessuto danneggiato e accelera la ripresa del tessuto. Ha delle proprietà antiossidanti che combattono l’azione dei radicali liberi.

Packaging: disponibile in 2 versioni: Versione busta da 12 su 9 cm (dimensioni di un iPhone 6) contenente 22 ml di siero e versione 16.7 su 11.8 cm contenente 25 ml di siero.

Composizione: busta contente una maschera in tessuto molto sottile e fine, perfettamente aderente al viso, ripiegata su un involucro bianco più rigido e siero ai mirtilli

Sul sito dell’azienda il prezzo viene indicato per un pacchetto da 5 mascherine su siti come Aliexpress è disponibile anche in versione individuale. Considerate che acquistando su Aliexpress e siti stranieri dovete considerare anche le spese di spedizione e dal mese di luglio del 2021 anche l’aggiunta del 20% IVA sul totale della spesa. Su Amazon e Ebay l’IVA è già inserita e le spese di spedizione dipendono dal venditore.

Modalità di applicazione: Dopo un’accurata detersione del viso togliete la maschera dalla busta e applicatela sul viso con l’involucro in plastica verso l’esterno. Una volta applicato il prodotto, togliere l’involucro e fissare correttamente la maschera sul viso. Attendere 15-20 minuti rilassandosi distesi.

INCI: 

Valutazione personale: Inizio subito con un aspetto abbastanza importante per me, cioè il fatto che queste maschere hanno tanto siero e la variante con la busta grande ancora di più. Visto tutto questo preferisco lasciar sgocciolare la maschera per un minutino prima di applicarla. Il tessuto è molto fine e delicato quasi trasparente, potrebbe sembrare difficile applicarla ma grazie all’involucro rigido, la procedura si semplifica molto. Il profumo è simile a quello del siero ai mirtilli, sa di antisettico e pulito che a me piace molto. Per tutta la durata dell’applicazione si ha una sensazione molto piacevole e riconfortante. Una volta tolta la mascherina la pelle era evidentemente più idratata, liscia, levigata, il colorito era migliorato, diventando più luminoso e radioso. I pori sono notevolmente diminuiti e la carnagione risulta più chiara e uniforme. Questa maschera placca e riduce notevolmente anche i miei problemi di couperose. Usando da diversi anni le maschere in tessuto di questo marchio in tutte le loro tipologie, posso affermare che non mi sono comparse nuove rughe e che addirittura le rughe già esistenti risultano diminuite. Io la consiglio fortemente a tutti coloro che cercano una cura di qualità per il loro viso.

Some time ago I reviewed the blueberry serum of the Japanese brand Lanbena and today I would like to review the equivalent sheet face mask. As you well remember, Lanbena is one of my favorite cosmetic brands and I had the opportunity to try several of their products but despite this, my favorite product are the sheet face masks. I have tried several masks, illuminating moisturizers, anti-aging, anti-fatigue, invigorating, nourishing and I haven't finished trying them all yet. I will share with you the reviews of the masks tried so far and this time it is the turn of the Lanbena Blueberry Serum Mask. You probably remember the review of my favorite mask of this brand, the 24K gold peptide mask reviewed HERE or the blueberry serum review, reviewed HERE.

Information from the manufacturer: This mask made of Japanese silk sheet and enriched with Saccharomyces Uvarum and Ophiogon Japonicus extracts is an excellent care for all skin types that try to fight the first signs of aging. The package contains 22 ml of blueberry serum in the small envelope version and 25 ml in the large envelope version. Used regularly, this mask fights the appearance of the first wrinkles, reduces pores, firms the skin of the face helping to restore elasticity, moisturizes the skin and increases the ability of the skin to store water thus increasing elasticity, repairs damaged tissue and accelerates the recovery of the skin. It has antioxidant properties that fight the action of free radicals.

Packaging: available in 2 versions: 12 on 9 cm bag version (size of an iPhone 6) containing 22 ml of serum and 16.7 on 11.8 cm version containing 25 ml serum.

Composition: envelope containing a very thin and fine sheet mask, perfectly adherent to the face, folded on a stiffer white wrapper and blueberry serum

Method of application: After thorough cleansing of the face, remove the mask from the bag and apply it on the face with the plastic wrap facing outwards. Once the product has been applied, remove the wrapper and fix the mask correctly on the face. Wait 15-20 minutes while resting lying down.

INCI: 

Personal evaluation: I start right away with one aspect that is quite important to me, which is the fact that these masks have a lot of serum and the variant with the large envelope even more. Given all this, I prefer to let the mask drain for a minute or so before applying it. The fabric is very fine and delicate, almost transparent, it might seem difficult to apply it, but thanks to the rigid layer, the procedure is much simpler. The scent is similar to that of blueberry serum, it smells like antiseptic and clean which I like very much. For the entire duration of the application there is a very pleasant and comforting sensation. Once the mask was removed, the skin was evidently more hydrated, softner, smoother, the complexion improved becoming brighter and more radiant. The pores are significantly reduced and the complexion is clearer and more even. This mask diminishes and also greatly reduces my couperose problems. Using for several years the fabric masks of this brand in all their types I can say that no new wrinkles have appeared and that even the already existing wrinkles are diminished. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for quality face care.

PROS: excellent results in terms of hydration, elasticity, repair, reconstitution, anti-aging and improvement of skin condition. It is a travel friendly product, in any version it has an excellent quality / price ratio, easy to apply.

CONS: In Europe it is only available online

Conclusion: recommended for people who pay attention to skin care, who try to fight aging and want to have smooth, elastic and radiant skin and who have the opportunity to buy online and wait for the product to arrive.
