Ciao carissimi lettori,

Visto che questo è il mese delle feste, mi è venuto in mente un momento allegro e felice che ho vissuto di recente e cioè il momento in cui ho incontrato la mia carissima amica Francesca al mese di ottobre. Se ricordate bene, ci siamo regalate dei libri, QUI vi parlavo del nostro incontro e vi facevo vedere il libro che mi aveva regalato. Adesso intendo recensire invece il libro che io ho regalato alla mia amica e dunque recensisco il libro “LA CASA SULL'ARGINE” di DANIELA RAIMONDI. L’autrice di questo romanzo è nata a Mantova ma ha trascorso la maggior parte della sua vita in Inghilterra e nonostante questo fosse il suo primo romanzo, ha ottenuto diversi riconoscimenti per le sue poesie. Il libro è stato pubblicato nel 2020 dalla casa editrice Nord ed è disponibile oltre al formato cartaceo, anche in formato ebook. Sostanzialmente questo romanzo è una fiction storica e ripercorre le avventure della famiglia Casadio attraverso il XVII- esimo, XIX-esimo, XX-esimo e XXI-esimo secolo. Per la costruzione dei personaggi e dei luoghi, la scrittrice si è ispirata alla storia della sua famiglia, in alcuni casi riproducendo fedelmente in altri completando i dati mancanti con la sua creatività.

La famiglia Casadio, originaria di Stellata, un borgo all’incrocio della Lombardia con il Veneto e l’Emilia Romagna, gente semplice, onesta e lavoratrice, vede la sua vita cambiare quando l’unico figlio Giacomo, sposa Viollca Toska, una zingara dall’aspetto inconsueto e lo spirito sensitivo. Hanno un unico figlio, Dollaro, registrato all’anagrafe come Arcario e questo romanzo narra le avventure e le vite dei loro discendenti che si dividono in due rami: i sognatori, biodi e occhi azzurri che prendono da Giacomo e i sensitivi con occhi e capelli scuri come Viollca. Nonostante Dollaro e la moglie Domenica Procacci avessero avuto tanti figli, il romanzo ripercorre solo la discendenza di Achille, il primogenito, un genio in matematica dai capelli biondi, occhi trasparenti come l’acqua e lo spirito sognatore del nonno Giacomo. Il resto della discendenza di Arcario che ha conservato a lungo il cognome Casadio, viene purtroppo nominata solo in occasione di certi matrimoni e vicende che riguardano i discendenti di Achille. La vita di Achille è particolarmente interessante in quanto dopo aver conosciuto Ugo Bassi, Achille si unisce con lui alle forze di Garibaldi e combatte per l’unità del paese. Durante un’avventura dove finisce quasi morto, conosce la sua futura moglie, Angelica Solera, una novizia dai bellissimi capelli ramati che per amore rinuncia a prendere i voti sposando Achille. Il suo primo figlio, Ugo, sfida la volontà del padre, come d’altronde aveva fatto anche Achille prima di lui, decidendo di diventare sacerdote e andando come missionario in Brasile. Nonostante Achille avesse avuto anche lui diversi figli e figlie, il romanzo ripercorre solo le vite di Beppe, l’ultimo maschio della coppia e di Edvige, la figlia minore. Mentre Edvige, bella e testarda come sua madre, vive un amore impossibile che causa la rottura con cugini e parenti dagli altri rami e la rende zitella fino alla sua morte a 100 anni, Beppe che sposa Armida Faini, ha una lunga progenie. Il suo ramo si perpetua solo attraverso le figlie in quanto il suo primogenito, Erasmo muore nella prima guerra mondiale mentre gli altri due figli, Nellusco e Pasquino non riescono ad avere figli. Da qui in poi il romanzo ripercorre soprattutto le vite di Adele, la primogenita, una donna bella, orgogliosa, destinata anche lei a vivere un amore impossibile e ripercorrere i passi di sua zia Edvige, che emigra in Brasile dove incontra suo zio Ugo e sposa Rodrigo Schiavon e la figlia minore Neve, una donna minuta ma caparbia che dopo essere stata miracolata, sprigiona un dolce profumo tutte le volte che è felice. Neve sposa Radames Martiroli e insieme hanno dieci bambini, motivo di carenze e limitazioni che alla fine causa una rottura nella coppia. Il romanzo segue soltanto la discendenza e le avventure dei gemelli Guido e Dolfo Martiroli che hanno anche loro due figlie, Norma Martiroli, figlia di Guido e di Elsa Negri che rispecchia la scrittrice del romanzo e Donata Martiroli, la rivoluzionaria e caparbia figlia di Dolfo Martiroli e Zena Bellini. Ogni membro della famiglia sembra aver ereditato certi doni, alcuni riescono a parlare con i morti, altri hanno il dono della premonizione, alcuni sognano chi morirà, altri leggono i tarocchi ma tutti hanno un comune legame con i loro antenati.

Con il tempo le caratteristiche fisiche cambiano, grazie anche all’apporto continuo di sangue nuovo e abbiamo personaggi con i capelli scuri e occhi azzurri oppure capelli castani e occhi verdi ma tutti hanno in comune uno spirito ribelle, combattivo, a tratti rivoluzionario e in alcuni casi anche un desiderio irrefrenabile di sfidare il destino nonostante la terribile premonizione che incombe su di loro. Le generazioni della famiglia Casadio sono segnate da una profezia terribile che Viollca lesse nelle carte di tarocco dopo la morte di suo marito e il tramandare di questa profezia condiziona e cambia per sempre le loro vite sia per coloro che rinunciano ai loro sogni sia per coloro che decidono di sfidare la sorte.

Nonostante non trattasse un argomento importante come i libri che leggevo ultimamente, questo libro mi è piaciuto moltissimo. Ho apprezzato la costruzione dei personaggi, tanto diversi e tanto ricchi di particolari ma anche la narrazione scorrevole, fluida, a tratti cosparsa di situazioni imprevedibili. Nonostante le quasi 400 pagine, questo libro si legge facilmente anche perché intriga e mantiene il lettore connesso. Confesso che in diverse occasioni ho faticato a mettere via il libro per dormire o fare altre attività necessarie in quanto il mio interesse rimaneva sempre sveglio.

Consiglio questo libro a tutti coloro interessati a fare una lettura leggera ma sostenuta, interessante ma non troppo impegnativa, una lettura che ricorderanno a lungo per via dei personaggi pittoreschi e le avventure ispirate ad eventi storici.

Since this is the month of the holidays, a cheerful and happy moment that I recently experienced came to my mind and that is the moment in which I met my dear friend Francesca in the month of October. If you remember well, we gave each other some books, HERE I was talking about our meeting and I was showing you the book that she had given me. Now I intend to review the book that I gave to my friend and therefore I am reviewing the book "THE HOUSE ON THE EMBANKMENT" by DANIELA RAIMONDI.The author of this novel was born in Mantua but she spent most of her life in England and despite this being her first novel, she has won several awards for her poems. The book was published in 2020 by the Nord publishing house and is available in addition to the paper format, also in ebook format. For the construction of the characters and places, the writer was inspired by the history of her family, in some cases reproducing faithfully and in others by completing the missing information with her creativity.

Basically, this novel is a historical fiction and traces the adventures of the Casadio family through the 17th, 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. The Casadio family, originally from Stellata, a village at the crossroads of Lombardy with Veneto and Emilia Romagna, simple, honest and hardworking people, sees their life change when their only son Giacomo marries Viollca Toska, a gypsy from unusual appearance and sensitive spirit. They have an only son, Dollar, registered as Arcario and this novel tells the adventures and lives of his descendants who are divided into two branches: the dreamers, blond hair and blue eyes that they take from Giacomo and the psychics with dark eyes and hair, like Viollca. Although Dollar and his wife Domenica Procacci had many children, the novel only traces the lineage of Achille, the eldest son, a genius in mathematics with blond hair, transparent eyes like water and the dreamy spirit of his grandfather Giacomo. The rest of the descendants of Arcario who have kept the surname Casadio for a long time, are unfortunately mentioned only on the occasion of certain marriages and events involving the descendants of Achille. Achille's life is particularly interesting because after meeting Ugo Bassi, Achille joins him in Garibaldi's forces and fights for the unity of the country. During an adventure where he almost ends up dead, he meets his future wife, Angelica Solera, a novice with beautiful auburn hair who for love gives up taking vows by marrying Achilles. His first son, Ugo, defies his father's will, as Achilles did before him, deciding to become a priest and going as a missionary to Brazil. Although Achille had also had several sons and daughters, the novel only traces the lives of Beppe, the last son of the couple, and of Edvige, the youngest daughter. While Edvige, beautiful and stubborn as her mother, lives an impossible love that causes a break with cousins ​​and relatives from other branches and makes her a spinster until her death at 100 years old, Beppe who marries Armida Faini has a long progeny. His branch is perpetuated only through his daughters as his eldest son, Erasmo dies in the First World War while the other two sons, Nellusco and Pasquino are unable to have children. From here on, the novel traces above all the lives of Adele, the eldest daughter, a beautiful, proud woman, also destined to live an impossible love and retrace the steps of her aunt Edvige, who emigrates to Brazil where she meets her uncle Ugo and marries Rodrigo Schiavon and his youngest daughter Neve, a tiny but stubborn woman who after being miraculously blessed, releases a sweet perfume whenever she is happy. Neve marries Radames Martiroli and together they have ten children, a reason for shortcomings and limitations that eventually causes a break in the couple. The novel follows only the lineage and adventures of the twins Guido and Dolfo Martiroli who also have two daughters, Norma Martiroli, daughter of Guido and Elsa Negri who represents the writer of the novel and Donata Martiroli, the revolutionary and stubborn daughter of Dolfo Martiroli and Zena Bellini. Each member of the family seems to have inherited certain gifts, some manage to talk to the dead, others have the gift of premonition, some dream of who will die, others read tarot cards but all have a common bond with their ancestors.

Over time the physical characteristics change, thanks also to the continuous supply of new blood and we have characters with dark hair and blue eyes or brown hair and green eyes but all have in common a rebellious, combative, at times revolutionary spirit and in some cases also an unstoppable desire to challenge fate despite the terrible premonition that hangs over them. The generations of the Casadio family are marked by a terrible prophecy that Viollca read in the tarot cards after the death of her husband and the passing on of this prophecy conditions and changes their lives forever both for those who renounce their dreams as for those who they decide to tempt fate.

Although it didn't cover a subject as important as the books I've been reading lately, I really enjoyed this book. I appreciated the construction of the characters, so different and so rich in details but also the smooth, fluid narration, at times sprinkled with unpredictable situations. Despite the nearly 400 pages, this book is also easy to read because it intrigues and keeps the reader connected. I confess that on several occasions I struggled to put the book away in order to sleep or do other necessary activities as my interest was always awake.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in a light but sustained, interesting but not too demanding reading, a romance they will remember for a long time because of the colorful characters and adventures inspired by historical events.

Carissimi amici e lettori, 

Oggi vorrei sottoporre alla vostra attenzione una domanda alla quale non trovo risposta.  Non trovo risposta non perché è una domanda difficile ma perché qualsiasi fosse la risposta, so che non mi piacerà e quindi credo che inconsciamente preferisco restare in sospeso e perciò non trovare una risposta.

Vediamo voi cosa pensate e quale risposta date voi ad una domanda simile. CREDETE NELLA SFIGA? Non intendo un momento di sfortuna in cui vi si rompe il tacco, perdete il rossetto o vi capita di avere una gomma a terra ma intendo un lungo cerchio di sventure e disgrazie che vi facciano pensare che i vostri antenati fossero di professione, frantumatori di specchi! 

Non ho mai voluto credere al destino o alla fortuna, ho sempre pensato che siamo in controllo di tutto quello che ci succede o che comunque possiamo sempre trovare una soluzione e la vita, come in quelle strane tragedie greche, ha voluto dimostrarmi che avevo torto. E non ammettere che avevo torto dopo tutto quello che mi è successo fino ad adesso, farebbe di me un caso di persona con allucinazioni e deliri, quindi ho accettato la disfatta. Certo, posso sempre controllare come accogliere un evento o una notizia spiacevole, posso decidere quanta attenzione dare a questi eventi, ma non potrò mai evitare che accadano. Un atto fortuito rimarrà sempre quello che è, quindi credo che l'unica cosa che posso fare è accettarli, non importa quanti ce ne siano, e non perdere la calma. 

Che ne pensate al riguardo? Vi considerate persone fortunate o tutto il contrario, dei veri sfigati? 

Mi piacerebbe davvero sapere cosa ne pensate, forse mi aiuterà a trovare una risposta e a uscire da questo cerchio vizioso ...

I never wanted to believe in fate or luck, I always thought that we are in control of everything that happens to us or that we can always find a solution and life, like in those strange Greek tragedies, wanted to prove me wrong. And not admitting that I was wrong after everything that has happened to me so far, it would make me a case of a person with hallucinations and delusions, so I accepted the defeat. Of course, I can always control how to welcome an unpleasant event or news, I can decide how much attention to give to these events, but I will never be able to prevent them from happening. A fortuitous act will always remain what it is, so I guess the only thing I can do is accept them, no matter how many there are, without losing my temper.

Ciao carissimi lettori,

Eccomi qui di nuovo a recensire un prodotto cosmetico e stavolta intendo recensire una maschera viso in tessuto. È da un po’ di tempo che non dedico un articolo a questa categoria di prodotti e credo che sia finalmente arrivato il momento per farlo. Come sapete già, io adoro le maschere in tessuto e ne ho provate decine e decine per fermarmi alla fine solo su alcuni prodotti che preferisco di gran lunga. Il prodotto che recensirò oggi è la Maschera idratante alle Rose del marchio cinese Bioaqua. Ho provato diversi prodotti e diverse mascherine in tessuto di questo marchio e credo che i punti a sfavore che descriverò per questo particolare prodotto, si possano applicare per la maggior parte dei loro prodotti ma veniamo al dunque per quanto riguarda questa recensione.

Informazioni dal produttore: con una formula a base di miele, estratti di piante e succo di frutta, questa maschera idrata e rinfresca la pelle donando un aspetto luminoso e salutare. La pelle rimane soffice e liscia come nei migliori centri estetici. L’essenza di rosa conferisce anche naturalezza e uniformizza l’incarnato.

Packaging: Busta di 30 gr contenente una maschera in tessuto e il siero corrispondente.

Consistenza e colore: la maschera si presenta come un foglio bianco e spesso

Fragranza: leggera e piacevole profumazione floreale

Reperibilità: online, sito dell’azienda, Aliexpress, Ebay, Amazon, altri siti online

Prezzo: 0.79 – 1.50€ per pezzo in base a promozioni, sconti, numero di pezzi acquistati e venditore

Modalità di applicazione: dopo un’accurata detersione del viso, la maschera va tolta dalla busta e applicata sul viso con cura, lasciandola in posa per 15 – 20 minuti.

INCI: NON DISPONIBILE in una lingua di circolazione internazionale

Valutazione personale: Vorrei cominciare subito con gli aspetti meno piacevoli che non sono tanto inerenti al prodotto in sé quanto alla presentazione. Avrei preferito un imballaggio con più informazioni in inglese in modo da poter comprendere meglio le qualità di questo prodotto. Ordinando online e soprattutto dall’estero, non mi aspetto di trovare informazioni in italiano però indicazioni e riferimenti in una lingua di circolazione internazionale come l’inglese sono doverose dal mio punto di vista, soprattutto per aziende che esportano merci fuori dal loro confine. Dalla busta sono riuscita solo a capire in tempo di posa, qualche informazione in merito alle proprietà e gli avvertimenti in caso di reazioni avverse. Per avere più informazioni in merito ho dovuto consultare il sito dell’azienda. Un altro aspetto che non è stato di mio gradimento è la consistenza del tessuto usato per questa maschera. Il tessuto è troppo spesso e abbastanza difficile da applicare. Inoltre una volta applicata la mascherina, l’aspetto finale non è molto piacevole. Passiamo adesso ai risultati e quindi anche agli aspetti positivi di questa mascherina. Dopo il tempo di posa, in cui ci si può rilassare leggendo o guardando la tv circondati da una piacevolissima fragranza floreale, la pelle rimane soffice, elastica, nitida e luminosa. Io non ho grandi problematiche cutanee ma devo dire che la pelle è rimasta soffice e liscia anche il giorno dopo. L’incarnato è diventato più uniforme, roseo e radioso. Nella descrizione sul sito ho letto che questo prodotto dovrebbe anche rendere la pelle più bianca, non posso testimoniare niente in merito e comunque non è un aspetto importante per me. Il prezzo è un importante punto a favore e anche se ho ordinato diverse volte questa mascherina, alla fine ho preferito ordinare prodotti di altri brand che offrono più informazioni in merito ai loro prodotti. Un altro aspetto che ha determinato la mia decisione di non ordinare più questo prodotto è stata la consistenza del tessuto, troppo spesso e poco maneggevole per i miei gusti. Un altro elemento che non è stato di mio gradimento è dovuto al fatto che ordinando su siti esteri, il tempo di attesa per avere il pacco è molto lungo, credo invece che la situazione possa cambiare ordinando su siti autoctoni, a prezzi nettamente superiori.

PRO: prezzo molto buono, profumo delicato e piacevole, confezione travel friendly, in seguito all’applicazione la pelle rimane liscia, soffice, rinvigorita, l’incarnato risulta più uniforme e luminoso.

CONTRO: poche informazioni in inglese pertinenti alle proprietà del prodotto, tempo di attesa molto lungo, quantità molto abbondante di siero, tessuto spesso e poco maneggevole

Conclusione: Questo prodotto potrebbe essere apprezzato dalle persone che cercano una cura della pelle di alto livello ma a buon mercato e che non risentono la mancanza di informazioni o l’attesa molto lunga per avere il prodotto.

As you already know, I love the sheet masks and I have tried dozens and dozens of them before choosing in the end only some products that I prefer by far. The product I will review today is the Rose Moisturizing Mask from the Chinese brand Bioaqua. I have tried several products and different tissue masks from this brand and I believe that the negative points that I will describe for this particular product, can be applied to most of their products but let's get to the point regarding this review.

Information from the manufacturer: With a formula based on honey, plant extracts and fruit juice, this mask moisturizes and refreshes the skin for a radiant and healthy appearance. The skin remains soft and smooth as in the best beauty centers. The essence of rose also gives naturalness and evens out the complexion.

Packaging: 30 g bag containing a tissue mask and the corresponding serum.

Texture and color: the mask looks like a white and thick sheet

Bouquet: light and pleasant floral fragrance

Availability: online, company website, Aliexpress, Ebay, Amazon, other online sites

Price: 0.79 - 1.50 € per piece based on promotions, discounts, number of pieces purchased and seller

Method of application: after thorough cleansing of the face, the mask should be removed from the bag and applied to the face with care, leaving it in pose for 15 - 20 minutes.

Personal evaluation: I would like to start immediately with the less pleasant aspects that are not so much inherent to the product itself as to the presentation. I would have preferred a packaging with more information in English so that I could better understand the qualities of this product. By ordering online and especially from abroad, I do not expect to find information in Italian, but indications and references in an internationally circulating language such as English are a must from my point of view, especially for companies that export goods outside their borders. Thanks to the package I was only able to understand time needed for pose, some information about the properties and warnings in case of adverse reactions. For more information on this, I had to consult the company's website. Another aspect that was not to my liking is the texture of the fabric used for this mask. The fabric is too thick and difficult enough to apply. Furthermore, once the mask is applied, the final appearance is not very pleasant. Let's now pass to the results and therefore also to the positive aspects of this mask. After the time needed for the pose, in which you can relax by reading or watching TV surrounded by a very pleasant floral fragrance, the skin remains soft, supple, clear and luminous. I don't have any major skin problems but I must say that the skin remained soft and smooth even the next day. The complexion had become more uniform, rosy and radiant. In the description on the site I read that this product should also make the skin whiter, I cannot testify to anything about that and in any case it is not an important aspect for me. The price is a big plus and even though I have ordered this mask several times, I ended up ordering products from other brands that offer more information about their products. Another aspect that led to my decision to no longer order this product was the texture of the fabric, too thick and unwieldy for my tastes. Another element that was not to my liking is the fact that when ordering on foreign sites, the waiting time for the package is very long, but I believe instead that the situation can change by ordering on native sites, at significantly higher prices.

PRO: very good price, delicate and pleasant scent, travel friendly packaging, after application the skin remains smooth, soft, invigorated, the complexion is more even and radiant.

CONS: little information in English as for the properties of the product, very long waiting time, very abundant amount of serum, thick and unwieldy fabric

Conclusion: This product could be appreciated by people who are looking for a high-level but yet cheap skin care product and who do not care for the lack of information or the very long waiting time to get the product.
