Viaggio in Alsazia / Trip to Alsace

Ciao carissimi amici e lettori,

La maggior parte di voi mi segue anche sui social network e quindi ha già avuto modo di vedere i miei post e le mie storie relative alla breve vacanza che ho trascorso a fine gennaio in Alsazia. Non è la prima volta che vedo queste terre, infatti in passato avevo già visitato Colmar e Strasburgo nel mese di dicembre quando tutte le decorazioni di Natale erano in funzione e le strade illuminate dalle luci natalizie ricevevano i numerosi visitatori impazienti di ammirare i punti d'interesse e fare compere nei mercatini di Natale e nei negozi chic. A gennaio, come si può vedere nelle foto, alcune decorazioni erano ancora rimaste in posto anche se le luci non funzionavano dappertutto ma le strade erano più libere perché la folla dei turisti era seriamente diminuita e perciò sono riuscita a visitare con più calma e vedere più obbiettivi turistici. Avendo anche più giorni a disposizione siamo riusciti a vedere più cittadine ed ammirare più monumenti che altrimenti sarebbe stato molto più difficile farlo. Il tempo era mite con temperature superiori ai 10° Celsius, qualche giorno ha piovigginato, era quasi sempre nuvoloso ma nonostante ciò, siamo riusciti a goderci la settimana di vacanza percorrendo in macchina strade di borghi fiabeschi, gustando la squisita cucina francese e ammirando le viste meravigliose davanti a tazze fummanti di tè e leggendo libri affascinanti. Condividerò con voi foto di panorami mozzafiato, castelli medioevali, monumenti maestosi e scorci da fiaba e anche se tante di queste cose le ho viste anch'io come voi, solo dalle foto perché non mi era possibile arrivarci con la carrozzina o il walker a 4 ruote, sono rimasta meravigliata e molto contenta di essere cosi vicina a tutte quelle meraviglie.

Most of you also follow me on social networks and therefore have already had the opportunity to see my posts and stories relating to the short holiday I spent in Alsace at the end of January. It is not the first time I have seen these lands, in fact in the past I had already visited Colmar and Strasbourg in the month of December when all the Christmas decorations were in function and the streets illuminated by Christmas lights received numerous visitors eager to admire the points of interest and go shopping at the Christmas markets and chic shops. In January, as you can see in the photos, some decorations were still in place even though the lights didn't work everywhere but the streets were freer because the crowds of tourists had seriously diminished and therefore I was able to visit more calmly and see more tourist objectives. Having even more days available we were able to see more towns and admire more monuments which otherwise would have been much more difficult to do. The weather was mild with temperatures above 10° Celsius, it drizzled a few days, it was almost always cloudy but despite this, we managed to enjoy the week's holiday by driving along the streets of fairy-tale villages, tasting the exquisite French cuisine and admiring the wonderful views over steaming cups of tea and reading fascinating books. I will share with you photos of breathtaking views, medieval castles, majestic monuments and fairytale views and even though I too have seen many of these things like you, only from the photos because it was not possible for me to get there with a wheelchair or a 4-wheel walker. wheels, I was amazed and very happy to be so close to all those wonders.

 

Isola del Reno / Rhine Island

IT: Abbiamo alloggiato in un delizioso albergo sull'isola del Reno e tutte le mattine ci siamo svegliati con la vista dei cigni che nuotavano sulla superficie di un piccolo laghetto all'interno dell'isola, sotto i deboli raggi del sole e la fitta nebbia mattutina. L'isola del Reno è una sponda di terra in mezzo ad uno dei fiumi più lunghi d'Europa e oltre all'unico albergo con ristorante, comprende anche un camping e una piscina estiva. Viene attraversata da un ponte che collega la Germania alla Francia e dal quale si possono ammirare le cascate della Diga di ritenuta EDF di Volgelgrun.

ENG: We stayed in a lovely hotel on Rhine Island and every morning we woke up to the sight of swans swimming on the surface of a small lake inside the island, under the faint rays of the sun and thick fog. Rhine Island is a bank of land in the middle of one of the longest rivers in Europe and in addition to the only hotel with restaurant, it also includes a campsite and a summer swimming pool. It is crossed by a bridge that connects Germany to France and from which you can admire the waterfalls of the Volgelgrun EDF retention dam.

 

Colmar

IT: A circa 25 km dal nostro albergo si trova la pittoresca cittadina Colmar, famosa per la sua Piccola Venezia, il parco du Champs de Mars, la Collegiata di San Martino, la Vecchia Dogana, la Casa delle Teste, l'albero di Giuda, la Casa Pfister e il Museo d'Unterlinden, la copia della Statua della Libertà e il Muro degli Artisti. Siamo riusciti ad ammirare la Piccola Venezia e visto che i marciapiedi lo permettevano, sono scesa anch'io ad ammirare di persona il canale e a scattare delle foto. A Colmar mi è stato possibile anche passeggiare nel Parco Du Champs de Mars e ammirare personalmente il Muro degli Artisti e la copia della Statua della Libertà. Il Parco Champs de Mars è famoso per la scritta Colmar e la statua del Generale Rapp realizzata dallo scultore Auguste Bartholdi. Auguste Bartholdi, originario di Colmar è anche l'aerchitteto che ha progettato e ha realizzato insieme a Gustave Effel, la Statua della Libertà, che la Francia ha donato agli Stati Uniti d'America. Ho appena svellato dunque anche il mistero del perché a Colmar esiste la coppia della famosa statua. Mio marito è riuscito ad arrivare e ammirare l'albero di Giuda, Cercis Siliquastrum, che dal 1791 delizia gli abitanti di Colmar con le sue fioriture annuali e purtroppo siamo arrivati troppo tardi per poter visitare il Museo d'Unterlinden mentre speriamo di poter visitare gli altri monumenti emblematici per la città in una futura vacanza.

ENG: About 25 km from our hotel is the picturesque town of Colmar, famous for its Little Venice, the Champs de Mars park, the Collegiate Church of Saint Martin, the Old Customs, the House of the Heads, the Judas tree, the Pfister House and the Unterlinden Museum, the copy of the Statue of Liberty and the Artists' Wall. We managed to admire Little Venice and since the sidewalks allowed it, I also went down to admire the canal in person and take some photos. In Colmar I was also able to walk in the Parc Du Champs de Mars and personally admire the Artists' Wall and the copy of the Statue of Liberty. The Champs de Mars Park is famous for the Colmar sign and the statue of General Rapp created by the sculptor Auguste Bartholdi. Auguste Bartholdi, originally from Colmar, is also the architect who designed and built, together with Gustave Effel, the Statue of Liberty, which France donated to the United States of America. I have therefore also just solved the mystery of why the copy of the famous statue exists in Colmar. My husband managed to arrive and admire the Judas tree, Cercis Siliquastrum, which has been delighting the inhabitants of Colmar with its annual blooms since 1791 and unfortunately we arrived too late to visit the Musée d'Unterlinden while we hope to be able to visit the other emblematic monuments for the city in a future holiday.

 

Riquewihr

IT: Avete presente la favola la Bella e la Bestia? Beh, vi posso dire che in Alsazia si trova la cittadina che ha ispirato gli illustratori Disney nella realizzazione del villaggio di Belle nel lungometraggio animato con lo stesso nome. Come potete vedere, questo piccolo borgo racchiude dentro la sua importante cinta muraria, delle vecchie casette colorate con un aspetto alsaziano, piccole torrette che in passato hanno ospitato le fanciulle nell'ascolto delle dichiarazioni d'amore a loro destinate, piccoli gazebo, statue in metallo e sentieri sterrati. Noi ci siamo innamorati di questa piccola cittadina, e voi?

ENG: Do you know the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast? Well, I can tell you that in Alsace there is the town that inspired the Disney illustrators in the creation of Belle's village in the animated feature film of the same name. As you can see, this small village contains within its important city walls, old colored houses with an Alsatian appearance, small turrets which in the past hosted young girls listening to the declarations of love destined for them, small gazebos, statues in metal and dirt paths. We fell in love with this small town, and you?

Ribeauvillé

IT: Sulla strada dei Vini, ci sono tantissimi borghi pittoreschi che attendono i visitatori con bellissimi scorci, castelli e monumenti peculiari, prelibatezze squisite e souvenirs memorabili. Una di queste cittadine, circondata anch'essa da un'imponente cinta muraria, è Ribeauvillé. Ribeauvillé è famosa perché nel medioevo, i signori di questo posto erano i "re" dei menestrelli e dei trovatori di tutta l'Alsazia. Questo aspetto viene ricordato in monumenti come la Casa dei Pifferai, la statua Les Rappolstein, la Torre dei Macellai e le tantissime fontane canticchianti. In lontananza, dalle sue vie, è possibile ammirare la fortezza di Saint-Ulrich.

ENG: On the Wine Route, there are many picturesque villages that await visitors with beautiful views, castles and peculiar monuments, exquisite delicacies and memorable souvenirs. One of these towns, also surrounded by an imposing city wall, is Ribeauvillé. Ribeauvillé is famous because in the Middle Ages, the lords of this place were the "kings" of the minstrels and troubadours of all Alsace. This aspect is remembered in monuments such as the Pipers' House, the Les Rappolstein statue, the Butchers' Tower and the many humming fountains. In the distance, from its streets, it is possible to admire the fortress of Saint-Ulrich.

 

Kaysersberg

IT: Kysersberg è un piccolo comune francese di qualche migliaio di abitanti, situato nell'Alto Reno nella regione del Grand Est. Il nome significa letteralmente "collina dell'imperatore" ed in passato fu comprata da Federico II, re di Sicilia, dei Romani e di Gerusalemme nonché imperatore dell'impero Sacro Romano, eletto nel 1211, incoronato dapprima in Aquisgrana nel 1215 e successivamente a Roma, dal Papa, nel 1220. La cittadina viene sorvegliata dall'alto dalla fortezza del castello con lo stesso nome, un edificio maestoso costruito nel XIII secolo, anch'esso dallo stesso imperatore Federico II. Come curiosità, ho scoperto che il mastio cilindrico, uno dei più vecchi dell'Alsazia, ha muri spessi 4 metri e offre una vista mozzafiato sulla valle e sulla città, vista e posizione molto utile all'imperatore e ai suoi eredi nei conflitti perpetui contro i duchi di Lorena ed i fedeli del Papa. Io non sono riuscita ad ammirare questo monumento però mio marito mi ha parlato a lungo della bellezza del paesaggio ai piedi della collina, della grandezza e l'imponenza degli edifici e della soddisfazione provata ad essere riuscito ad arrivarci.

ENG: Kysersberg is a small French town of a few thousand inhabitants, located in the Upper Rhine in the Grand Est region. The name literally means "emperor's hill" and in the past it was bought by Frederick II, king of Sicily, the Romans and Jerusalem as well as emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, elected in 1211, crowned first in Aachen in 1215 and subsequently in Rome, by the Pope, in 1220. The town is guarded from above by the castle fortress of the same name, a majestic building built in the 13th century, also by Emperor Frederick II himself. As a curiosity, I discovered that the cylindrical keep, one of the oldest in Alsace, has walls 4 meters thick and offers a breathtaking view of the valley and the city, a view and position very useful to the emperor and his heirs in the perpetual conflicts against the dukes of Lorraine and the Pope's subjects. I was not able to admire this monument but my husband spoke to me at length about the beauty of the landscape at the foot of the hill, the grandeur and imposingness of the buildings and the satisfaction he felt at having succeeded to get there.

 

Strasbourg

IT: L'ultimo posto di cui vi parlerò in questo articolo è Strasburgo, una città al quale noi abbiamo dedicato una giornata intera senza riuscire nemmeno a scalfire la superficie dei posti da visitare. In passato avevamo già visitato Strasburgo a dicembre nel 2018 e avevamo potuto ammirare la bellezza dei suoi mercatini di Natale, i più belli mai visti in vita mia e credetemi, di mercatini di Natale ne ho visti tanti. Ci sono tante cose che si possono raccontare su Strasburgo, che il suo nome si traduce letteralmente "la città delle strade", che è stata scelta, insieme a Bruxelles, come sede del Parlamento Europeo, è sede della prestigiosa Scuola Nazionale della Pubblica Amministrazione (ENA) fondata dal presidente De Gaulle, che siccome in passato come tutta l'Alsazia d'altronde è stata contesa a lungo fra la Francia e la Germania, è ricca delle influenze e culture di entrambe le nazioni, che vanta un grandissimo numero di luoghi d'interesse, monumenti, musei, biblioteche ed edifici religiosi. Nonostante fossimo decisi a visitare il Parlamento Europeo, non era possibile prenotare una visita in quanto ci sono tuttora in corso dei lavori di ristrutturazione e quindi ci siamo limitati a guardarlo dall'esterno. Abbiamo visitato nuovamente la Cattedrale di Strasburgo (chiamata correttamente Cattedrale della Nostra Signora di Strasburgo cioè Notre-Dame di Strasbourg) ma quello che non sapevamo finora era che la cattedrale era stata costruita, distrutta e ricostruita diverse volte fino al suo aspetto definitivo realizzato in pietra arenaria dei Vosgi che le conferisce l'aspetto rossiccio. Il suo orologio astronomico, l'unico del suo genere, riproduce la processione degli equinozi. L'interno è caratterizzato da elementi romanici ma quello che colpisce di più la vista è la dissoluzione delle pareti in perfetto stile gotico francese. Questo monumento sono riuscita a visitarlo anch'io perché ahimè, nella casa di Dio, gli storpi e i malati sono sempre i benvenuti :) Oltre alla Cattedrale Notre-Dame di Strasburgo abbiamo visitato anche Chiesa di Saint Pierre le Vieux, una chiesa interreligiosa che accoglie sia i fedeli di rito romano-cattolico, sia i protestanti e la Chiesa di San Paolo situata alla confluenza del fiume Ill con il corso d'acqua Aar e facilmente da notare per le sue due guglie e lo stile neogotico.

ENG: The last place I will talk about in this article is Strasbourg, a city to which we dedicated an entire day without even managing to scratch the surface of the places to visit. In the past we had already visited Strasbourg in December 2018 and we had been able to admire the beauty of its Christmas markets, the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life and believe me, I have seen many Christmas markets. There are many things that can be said about Strasbourg, that its name literally translates as "the city of streets", which was chosen, together with Brussels, as the seat of the European Parliament, and is home to the prestigious National School of Public Administration ( ENA) founded by President De Gaulle, that in the past, like all of Alsace, was long disputed between France and Germany, is rich in the influences and cultures of both nations, boasting a huge number of places of interest, monuments, museums, libraries and religious buildings. Although we were determined to visit the European Parliament, it was not possible to book a visit as there is still renovation work underway and so we limited ourselves to looking at it from the outside. We visited the Strasbourg Cathedral again (correctly called the Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg i.e. Notre-Dame de Strasbourg) but what we didn't know until now was that the cathedral had been built, destroyed and rebuilt several times until its final appearance made of stone Vosges sandstone which gives it its reddish appearance. Its astronomical clock, the only one of its kind, reproduces the procession of the equinoxes. The interior is characterized by Romanesque elements but what is most striking is the dissolution of the walls in perfect French Gothic style. I also managed to visit this monument because, alas, in the house of God, the crippled and the sick are always welcome :) In addition to the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Strasbourg we also visited the Church of Saint Pierre le Vieux, an interreligious church that welcomes both the faithful of the Roman Catholic rite and the Protestants and the Church of St. Paul located at the confluence of the Ill river with the Aare waterway and easily noticed for its two spiers and neo-Gothic style.

Solo cose belle appuntamento mese di agosto / Only beautiful things month of august edition

IT: Ciao carissimi,
Oggi è il momento di un altro post "Solo cose belle" e fortunatamente o sfortunatamente il post di oggi sarà molto breve perché questo mese è stato un mese di tormento. 
Vorrei condividere con voi alcuni momenti di una breve incursione sul lago di Garda durante un fine settimana torrido perché la bellezza della natura non ha paragoni e fortunatamente l'Italia è piena di questo tipo di gioielli. Guardare il blu chiaro e sereno dell'orizzonte che si fonde nel blu profondo del lago e il verde fresco degli alberi è una sensazione impagabile che arricchisce i miei sensi e mi da una sensazione di calma e tranquillità.

Today is the time for another "Only  Beautiful Things" post and fortunately or unfortunately today's post will be very short because this month has been a month of torment.
I would like to share with you some moments of a short trip on Lake Garda during a hot weekend because the beauty of nature is unmatched and fortunately Italy is full of this kind of bijoux. Watching the clear and serene blue of the horizon merging into the deep blue of the lake and the fresh green of the trees is a priceless feeling that enriches my senses and gives me a feeling of calm and tranquility.

IT: La seconda cosa bella di cui vorrei parlarvi oggi è il gruppo Masaka Kids Africana, il gruppo di un orfanotrofio di ragazzi molto talentati dell'Uganda che condivide attraverso i suoi filmini la gioia di vivere, la speranza in un mondo migliore e la gratitudine per ogni piccola cosa. Vi confesso che mi sono emozionata moltissimo quando ho visto i loro video, la maggior parte sono video in cui ballano, cantano, ridono, ma ci sono anche video in cui pregano e piangono per tutti i popoli colpiti dal Covid o da altre disgrazie. Mi sono emozionata moltissimo nel vedere come persone che non hanno niente riescano a sorridere e a far felice gli altri e soprattutto mi sono commossa tantissimo ad essere partecipe e testimone della loro capacità di empatia e comprensione. Io penso che persone cosi e atteggiamenti cosi devono essere notati e celebrati e quindi per questo motivo condivido con voi la loro pagina Facebook dove potrete conoscerli meglio e uno di quei video in cui nonostante tutte le avversità, loro ti fanno vibrare l'anima per la gioia di essere parte di questo mondo. 

ENG: The second beautiful thing I would like to talk to you about today is the Masaka Kids Africana group, the group of an orphanage of highly talented children from Uganda that shares the joy of living, the hope for a better world and the gratitude for every little thing through its films.  I confess that I was very touched when I saw their videos, most of them are videos in which they dance, sing, laugh, but there are also videos in which they pray and grieve for all the peoples affected by Covid or other misfortunes. I was very moved to see how people who have nothing can smile and make others happy and above all I was very touched to be a participant and witness of their capacity for empathy and understanding. I think that people like this and attitudes like this must be noticed and celebrated and for this reason I share with you their Facebook page where you can get to know them better and one of those videos in which despite all the adversities, they make your soul vibrate for the joy of being part of this world.

Solo cose belle - Luglio / Only beautiful things - July

Ciao carissimi lettori,
Stavo quasi per perdere l'appuntamento di questo mese, un po' perché sono stata molto presa con tantissime cose, lavoro, vacanze, interventi, stress e altro stress ancora e un po' perché avevo trascurato leggermente il mio blog. 
Cosa posso condividere di bello con voi per questo mese? Beh, avrei condiviso qualcosa delle mie vacanze ma non sono state veramente vacanze per divertimento perché dovevamo finire delle cose iniziate da tempo e solo per qualche giorno siamo riusciti ad andare al mare, giorni che tra l'altro non mi sono goduta molto visto che avevo un'infiammazione in corso e stavo facendo uso pesante di antidolorifici e antiinfiammatori. 
L'unica cosa che mi piacerebbe veramente condividere con voi, oltre ai libri che ho acquistato questo mese, sono le foto che abbiamo scattato nel breve viaggio a Venezia. In quei pochi giorni di vacanza trascorsi a Lido di Jesolo, abbiamo fatto un breve, molto breve viaggio (per esattezza circa 3 ore) a Venezia. Siamo riusciti a vedere Piazza San Marco con i suoi edifici maestosi, i diversi ponti molto popolari fra i turisti in cerca di un ricordo di questa meravigliosa città, il Palazzo Ducale, la Basilica di San Marco, chiamata anche Chiesa d'Oro, il Campanile San Marco e le gondole che attendevano tranquille i turisti innamorati. Ci siamo deliziati con bevande rinfrescanti, abbiamo acquistato dei souvenir dai tantissimi venditori ambulanti e abbiamo anche assistito alle intraprendenze dei gabbiani affamati che per procurarsi da mangiare, non hanno paura di strappare i panini dalle mani dei turisti. 
Visto che nel Veneto, non c'è l'obbligo della mascherina, tante persone non la utilizzavano e quindi all'aperto anch'io mi sono permessa di non indossarla soprattutto se non c'erano persone intorno a me, ma appena siamo saliti sulla nave per ritornare, l'ho rimessa come tutti gli altri turisti.
Vorrei parlarvi brevemente e farvi vedere i libri che ho comprato questo mese. Il libro "La volpe era già il cacciatore" scritta dalla vincitrice del premio Nobel Herta Muller, è una novità e parla delle restrizioni del regime comunista rumeno, "Va, metti una sentinella" è un altro libro della scrittrice Harper Lee, vincitrice del premio Pulitzer, in precedenza avevo recensito sul mio blog QUI il suo primo romanzo "Il buio oltre la siepe", i libri "La signora Dalloway" e "Una stanza tutta per sé" della famosa scrittrice inglese, Virginia Wolf, erano da tempo sulla mia lista di future letture e fortunatamente le ho trovate da una venditrice ambulante e lo stesso per il libro "Canne al vento" della scrittrice Grazia Deledda che non ha bisogno di altre presentazioni. 
Spero non vi abbia annoiati con i miei racconti perché alla fine anche noi blogger siamo una sorta di racconta storie, oltre a fotografi, recensori, tester e quant'altro.
Queste sono tutte le cose belle del mese di luglio, fatemi sapere se voi ci siete mai stati a Venezia e cosa ne pensate di questa storica città d'arte. Un abbraccio e ci sentiamo il mese prossimo con altre cose belle.

Hello dear readers,
I almost missed the appointment for this month, a bit because I was very busy with many things, work, holidays, surgery, stress and other stress and a little more because I had neglected my blog slightly.
What can I share with you for this month? Well, I would have shared something about my vacations but it wasan't really a vacation for fun because we had to finish things that started a long time ago and only for a few days we managed to go to the seaside, days that by the way I didn't enjoy much since I had an ongoing inflammation and I was making heavy use of pain relievers and anti-inflammatories.
The only thing I'd really like to share with you, in addition to the books I purchased this month, are the photos we took on our short trip to Venice. In those few days of vacation spent in Lido di Jesolo, we made a short, very short trip (to be exact, about 3 hours) to Venice. We managed to see Piazza San Marco with its majestic buildings, the different bridges very popular among tourists in search of a memory of this wonderful city, the Palazzo Ducale, the Basilica of San Marco, also called the Golden Church, the Bell Tower San Marco and the gondolas that quietly awaited the tourists in love. We delighted with refreshing drinks, we bought souvenirs from the many street vendors and we also witnessed the resourcefulness of the hungry seagulls that in order to get food, are not afraid of tearing the sandwiches from the hands of tourists.
Since in Veneto, there is no obligation to wear a mask, many people did not use it and therefore outdoors I also took the liberty of not wearing it especially if there were no people around me, but as soon as we got on the ship to return, I put it back like all the other tourists did.
I'd like to talk to you briefly and show you the books I bought this month. The book "The fox was already the hunter" written by the Nobel Prize winner Herta Muller, is new and talks about the restrictions of the Romanian communist regime, "Go set a watchman" is another book by the Pulitzer award-winning writer Harper Lee, previously I had reviewed on my blog HERE his first novel "To kill a mockingbird", the books "Mrs. Dalloway" and "A room of One's Own" by the famous English writer, Virginia Wolf, had long been on my list of future readings and fortunately I found them from a street vendor and the same for the book "Reeds in the Wind" by the sardinian writer and Nobel Prize winner, Grazia Deledda who needs no further introduction.
I hope he didn't bore you with my stories because in the end we bloggers are a sort of storyteller, as well as photographers, reviewers, testers and all the rest.
These are all the beautiful things for the month of July, let me know if you've ever been to Venice and what you think of this historic city of art. A hug and we shall meet next month with other appointement of beautiful things.

Solo cose belle mese di giugno / Only beautiful things month of June

IT: Ciao carissimi amici,

Oggi è un altro appuntamento della rubrica mensile “Solo Cose Belle” ideata e iniziata da Fiore di Collina. Oggi purtroppo sono anche arrivata alla conclusione che rischio di diventare ripetitiva perché sono comunque un essere abitudinario, mi piacciono sempre le stesse cose, faccio quasi sempre le stesse cose, compro le stesse cose e quindi rischio di annoiare il mio lettore. Ecco perché ho deciso di non parlarvi di tutte le cose belle di questo mese ma solo delle cose belle e inedite, che succedono per la prima volta o che non sono successe da parecchio tempo. Una delle cose che infatti non facevo da tanto per via dell’epidemia era uscire di casa e visitare luoghi bellissimi. Ecco quindi che questo mese fra una pioggia e l’altra siamo riusciti anche a fare due scappatelle sul lago d’Iseo e sul lago Como. Lago d’Iseo era tanto che non lo vedevamo e quindi per rinfrescarci la memoria abbiamo scelto di girarlo in macchina alternando anche delle belle passeggiate sulle promenade delle sue città ma per quanto riguarda il lago Como, avevamo in mente di goderci il lago e siamo andati dritti, dritti a Colico e distesi sull’erba ne abbiamo approfittato per leggere, parlare, goderci il paesaggio e sentirci in connessione con la natura.

Today is another appointment with the monthly column "Only Beautiful Things" created and started by Fiore di Collina. Unfortunately, today I have also come to the conclusion that I risk becoming repetitive because I am still a habitual being, I always like the same things, I almost always do the same things, I buy the same things and therefore I risk boring my readers. That's why I decided not to tell you about all the beautiful things of this month but only about the beautiful and new things that happen for the first time or that haven't happened for a long time. One of the things that I hadn't done for a long time because of the epidemic was to leave the house and visit beautiful places. So this month between rains we also managed to make two escapades on Lake Iseo and Lake Como. Lake Iseo was so long that we did not see it and therefore to refresh our memory we chose to see it driving and also alternating beautiful walks on the promenades of its cities but as regards Lake Como, we had in mind to enjoy the lake and we went straight, straight to Colico and lying on the grass we took the opportunity to read, speak, enjoy the landscape and feel connected to nature.

IT: Una cosa decisamente nuova e bella invece è la mia nuova macchina fotografica che abbiamo comprato questo mese e pagheremo a rate, la piccola, snella, leggera, precisa e velocissima Canon SX730HS. Non dico altro perché poi sembrerà un post sponsorizzato e non lo è (mi sarebbe piaciuto però), ma vi farò vedere alcune foto scattate usandola. Le foto sono poche perché è un acquisto molto recente e non abbiamo ancora avuto occasione di metterla alla prova ma come già mi conoscete, io amo fare foto e quindi non tarderò ad utilizzarla con furore. Non mi posso lamentare del mio cellulare che di foto ne ha fatto tante e le ha fatte anche molto bene però un tocco più professionale mi serviva :D Un'altra cosa inedita e decisamente bella è che questo mese mi sono fatta tagliare i capelli da un professionista. Potete vedere questo taglio nella foto in cui faccio vedere anche la mia nuova macchina fotografica però non sono stato ispirata a fotografarla subito con la piega fatta dalla parrucchiera e quindi la potete vedere solo giorni più tardi, dopo aver lavato i capelli e creato la mia ormai solita piega con il foulard. 

ENG: A decidedly new and beautiful thing is my new camera that we bought this month and will pay in installments, the small, slender, light, precise and very fast Canon SX730HS. I do not say more because then it will seem a sponsored post and it is not (I would have liked it though), but I will show you some photos taken using it. The photos are few because it is a very recent purchase and we have not yet had the opportunity to test it but as you already know me, I love taking photos and therefore I will not wait much in using it with fury. I can't complain about my cell phone, which took many photos and made them very well too, however, I needed a more professional touch: D Another unusual and decidedly beautiful thing is that this month I had my hair cut by a professional. You can see this cut in the photo where I also show my new camera, however I was not inspired to photograph it immediately with the hairstyle made by the hairdresser and therefore you can see it only days later, after washing my hair and creating my now usual style using a scarf.

A princess story in Monaco / La storia di una principessa a Monaco / Povestea unei printese la Monaco

Ciao suflete frumoase,

a trecut ceva timp de cand nu incep asa un articol dar astazi sunt nostalgica si am hotarat sa impartasesc cu voi acest sentiment. Cum ati dedus din titlu, articolul de astazi vorbeste despre povestea unei printese, a unui print si a unei gradini magice. In acest caz printesa sunt eu, dar la fel de bine poate fi oricare dintre voi, cititori romantici si visatori iar printul este sufletul vostru pereche indiferent de sex. Inainte de toate vreau sa va vorbesc despre gradina magica, o gradina in care frumusetea este in floare in fiecare sezon in toate culorile curcubeului. In povestea de astazi gradina magica este Gradina Japoneza de la Monte Carlo, o gradina care respecta filozofia Zen si ofera o incursiune extraordinara in cultura soarelui rasare chiar in interiorul principatului de Monaco. Gradina Japoneza a fost costruita in 1994 din ordinul Principelui Ranieri III folosind bambus, piatra si tigla importate din Japonia si utilizand plante specific mediteraneene, amenajate in asa fel incat sa oglindeasca stilul niponic. Aceasta gradina este rezultatul imbinarii cu grija si delicatete a elementelor a doua culturi diferite, una occidentala si individualista si una orientala si colectivista. Iata de ce in interiorul acestei gradini calatorul se poate simti independent, puternic si in acelasi timp valorizat, respectat si in comuniune cu natura. Plimbandu-ma agale printre copacii verzi chiar si in luna decembrie, ascultand clipocitul cristalin al paraurilor, admirand splendoarea oglinzilor de apa in care inotau linistiti o multitudine de pesti colorati nu am putut sa nu ma intreb daca si ceilalti vizitatori simt magia acestei gradini la fel cum am simtit-o eu. Aceasta plimbare m-a linistit, a indepartat grijile din mintea mea si mi-a permis sa ma simt mai aproape de natura, iata de ce cred cu toata convingerea ca este o gradina magica. Orice loc, orice gradina, cat de mica ar fi, atat timp cat e colorata in culorile voastre preferate, miroase precum parfumurile voastre preferate si straluceste asemeni bijuteriilor voastre preferate este un loc magic.

Daca veti avea ocazia vreodata sa vizitati Monte Carlo, va sugerez sa nu ratati acest obiectiv, accesul este liber, in apropriere se afla o parcare subterana enorma si este situata exact langa Forumul Grimaldi, un alt obiectiv care ar trebui sa fie pe lista voastra. Asadar dragi printi si printese, eu va salut, va multumesc si va imbratisez cu drag. In cazul in care ati decis sa calatoriti, oriunde, folosind acest COD pentru cazare pe site-ul booking.com veti avea o reducere de 15 € chiar daca sunteti deja inregistrati.

Ciao belle anime,

è da un po 'che non inizio cosi un articolo, ma oggi sono nostalgica e ho deciso di condividere questo sentimento con voi. Come avete dedotto dal titolo, l'articolo parla oggi della storia di una principessa, di un principe e di un giardino incantato. In questo caso, la principessa sono io, ma potrebbe benissimo esserlo chiunque di voi, lettori romantici e sognatori, e il principe è la vostra anima gemella indipendentemente dal sesso. Prima di tutto, voglio parlare del giardino incantato, un giardino dove la bellezza sta fiorendo ogni stagione in tutti i colori dell'arcobaleno. Nell'odierna storia il giardino incantato è il Giardino Giapponese di Monte Carlo, un giardino che rispetta la filosofia Zen e offre un viaggio straordinario nel paese del Sol Levante proprio all'interno del Principato di Monaco. Il giardino giapponese fu costruito nel 1994 per ordine del principe Ranieri III utilizzando bambù, pietre e piastrelle importati dal Giappone e utilizzando piante specifiche del Mediterraneo disposte in modo tale da rispecchiare lo stile giapponese. Questo giardino è il risultato di una combinazione attenta e delicata di elementi di due culture diverse, una occidentale e individualista e una orientale e collettivista. Ecco perché in questo giardino il viaggiatore può sentirsi indipendente, potente e allo stesso tempo valorizzato, rispettato e in comunione con la natura. Passeggiando lentamente tra gli alberi verdi, anche nel mese di dicembre, ascoltando i corsi d'acqua cristallini che lambiscono le sponde, ammirando la bellezza dello specchio d'acqua dove pacificamente nuotano una moltitudine di pesci colorati, non ho potuto fare a meno di chiedermi se anche gli altri ospiti sentono la magia di questo giardino come come l'ho sentito io.  Questa passeggiata mi ha tranquillizzato, ha rimosso le preoccupazioni dalla mia mente e mi ha permesso di sentirmi più vicino alla natura, ed ecco perché sono convinta fortemente che si tratti di un giardino magico. Ogni luogo, ogni giardino, per quanto piccolo fosse, se è colorato nel vostro colore preferito, odora come il vostro profumo preferito e brilla come il vostro gioiello preferito è un luogo magico.

Se doveste mai avere la possibilità di visitare Monte Carlo, vi suggerisco di non perdere questo obiettivo, l'accesso è libero, nei pressi c'è un parcheggio sotterraneo enorme e si trova proprio accanto al Forum Grimaldi, un altro obiettivo che dovrebbe essere sulla vostra lista. Quindi, cari principi e principesse, vi saluto, vi ringrazio e vi abbraccio calorosamente.

It's been a while since I started an article using these words, but today I'm nostalgic and I decided to share this feeling with you. As you deduced from the title, today, the article talks about the story of a princess, a prince and an enchanted garden. In this case, I am the princess, but any of you, romantic readers and dreamers, could very well be the princess, and the prince is your soul mate regardless of sex. First of all, I want to talk about the enchanted garden, a garden where beauty is blooming every season in all the colors of the rainbow. In today's story the enchanted garden is the Japanese Garden of Monte Carlo, a garden that respects the Zen philosophy and offers an extraordinary journey in the land of the Rising Sun right within the Principality of Monaco. The Japanese garden was built in 1994 by order of Prince Rainier III using bamboo, stones and tiles imported from Japan and using specific Mediterranean plants arranged to reflect the Japanese style. This garden is the result of a thoughtful and delicate combination of elements from two different cultures, a western and individualist one and an oriental and collectivist one. This is why in this garden the traveler can feel independent, powerful and at the same time valued, respected and in communion with the nature. Walking slowly among the green trees, even in the month of December, listening to the crystal-clear streams of water lapping the banks, admiring the beauty of the water mirror where a multitude of colorful fish swim peacefully, I couldn't help wondering if the other guests feel the magic of this garden as I felt it. This walk has reassured me, removed the worries from my mind and allowed me to feel closer to nature, and this is why I am strongly convinced that it is a magical garden. Every place, every garden, however small it may be, if colored in your favorite color, if smells like your favorite perfume and it shines like your favorite jewel then is a magical place. If you ever have the chance to visit Monte Carlo, I suggest you not to miss this goal, access is free, there is a huge underground parking nearby and it is right next to the Grimaldi Forum, another goal that should be on the your list. So, dear princes and princesses, I greet you, thank you and embrace you warmly.
