Today I am back to review another product sent by the South Korean brand Elizavecca with the last order. Summer is coming and since I wanted to be ready for the summer, I chose a product in the form of a stick with SPF 50 from my favorite South Korean brand. I don't know about you, but I don't really like using sunscreen lotions and creams on my body because they don't always absorb well and leave my hands and fingers sticky, which let's face it, is not the most pleasant thing when on the beach. So, when I discovered the Sun Block Great Stick SPF 50+, I knew I wanted to try it right away. After trying it over the course of a few weeks, on my neck, arms, décolleté and legs I have a pretty good idea about this product. I have also been using it on my face at times, although it is not very easy to distribute it in all corners but I definitely prefer the consistency of this rather than that of a face cream with SPF.

It contains 9 precious herb extracts like chamomile, lavender, mint, rose, rosemary, lemon balm, sage, bergamot that together with salicylic acid and vitamin E offer soothing action and waterproof protection from the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation. Personal evaluation: First of all, I have to tell you how easy it is to apply this product. The fact that it comes under the form of a stick that can easily be kept in a handbag makes it the best sunscreen protection I have ever had. A few twists are all I needed to have this sunscreen ready to apply. It runs easy on the skin, it is not sticky, it does not leave white unpleasant traces and it leaves the skin glowing and feeling soft and velvety. It has no perfume so it won’t create allergies or discomfort. I applied it on face too, it is pretty easy, the area around the nose and eyes are a little bit tricky but I runed my fingers on the stick and they applied it successfully on those areas too. When applied, this product is colourless and leaves a very pleasant glow to the skin. The skin also becomes softer and hydrated and acquires a radiant look. For the moment I haven’t yet used it on my legs and I am not sure that I will get to use it since I am not going to the beach anymore and I don’t like go outside with my wheelchair without having my legs covered but if I get to do it, I will update you. If needed, it can be reapplied after a few hours or after swim and bathing. I am very satisfied with this product both for how easy it is to carry around and apply and for how my skin looks after using it. That being said, I will conclude by saying that it has a good quality /price ratio and in future, I will buy this product.

Oggi ritorno per recensire un altro prodotto inviato dall’azienda sudcoreana Elizavecca con l’ultimo ordine. L’estate si avvicina e siccome volevo essere pronta per l’estate, ho scelto dal mio brand sudcoreano preferito un prodotto nella forma di stick con protezione solare 50. Non so voi, ma a me non piace molto usare le lozioni e le creme solari sul corpo perché non si assorbono bene sempre e lasciano le mani e le dita appiccicose, che ammettiamolo onestamente, non è la cosa più piacevole sulla spiaggia. Perciò quando ho scoperto il Sun Block Great Stick, ho saputo che volevo provarlo subito. Dopo averlo provato nel corso di alcune settimane, su collo, braccia, decoltée e gambe mi sono fatta un’idea abbastanza precisa riguardante questo prodotto. A momenti, l’ho usato anche su viso, anche se non è molto facile distribuirlo in tutti gli angoli ma di sicuro preferisco la sua consistenza anziché quella di una crema viso con SPF.

Valutazione personale: Innanzitutto devo dirvi quanto è facile applicare questo prodotto. Il fatto che si presenti sotto forma di stick che può essere facilmente tenuto in borsa lo rende la migliore protezione solare che abbia mai avuto. Bastano poche rotazioni per avere questa protezione solare pronta all'uso. Scorre facilmente sulla pelle, non è appiccicoso, non lascia spiacevoli tracce bianche e lascia la pelle luminosa e morbida e vellutata. Non ha profumo, quindi non crea allergie o fastidi. L'ho applicato anche sul viso, è abbastanza facile, la zona intorno al naso e agli occhi è un po' complicata, ma ho passato le dita sullo stick e quindi l'ho applicato con successo anche su quelle zone. It can also be used for an easy, fast and professional quality styling product for unruly and frizzy hair and I must confess that since my hair even if dyed multiple times is not damaged at all nor has split ends, I use it for the second purpose, that of a simple salon-worthy treatment for frizzy hair.

Personal evaluation: I use this product like any other hair treatment and conditioning product. After shampoo and towel dry, I use a certain quantity of product by spreading on the lengths of my hair. If all one could want is to nourish the hair, it could simply blow dry them but after reading all its properties, I decided it use it to style them too. Therefore, after applying the product, I slightly blow dry my hair and then I braid my hair into tails. Afterwards I let it dry naturally for the night and open the braids the following day. For a more natural result, I use a rather small quantity of essence and braid my hair loosely. For a more defined curl, I use a more consistent quantity and braid my hair tighter. The result is absolutely stunning, the curls are well defined, the is hair softer, shinier and has a beautiful scent. I really love the result and imagine that if I wore to use curlers, the result would be equally satisfying. I don’t have dry hair or split ends and I can not testify regarding its restorative properties but considering the great conditioning results I had I really believe this essence can do all that. That being said, I have to inform you that it also contains silicones, mineral oils and PEG but given the results, I can close an eye as I did before every time and for every product where the results and benefits overcame the disadvantages.

PROS: travel friendly product, great conditioning effect, very good for hair styling, very pleasant fragrance, easy to use and apply, does not require rinsing.

CONS: contains silicones, mineral oils and PEG.

Conclusion: I recommend this product to the persons that search for a great hair care treatment for damaged hair and split ends or persons with frizzy hair that look for a simple way to style their hair effortless at home.

Personal evaluation: First of all, I have to tell you that a very small quantity of product is needed for every wash because it makes an abundant quantity of foam. The foam is very subtle, it does not leave a burning sensation if it finishes in your eyes (obviously I recommend washing face with eyes closed) and it washes away easily. After using this product, the skin results visibly cleaner, smoothed, refreshed and brighter. The skin results more plump and the pores are visibly diminished. At touch, the skin is soft and firm. Even if it doesn’t dry skin like many other cleansing products do, I recommend continue with your normal skin care routine, that is toner, essence or serum and your usual face cream. It can be used on a daily basis for a cleaner and smoother skin. It has a slight fragrance that is very delicate and it might result almost imperceptible and therefore I believe that persons that don’t like using fragranced products in their skin care routine can use it without considerable problems. All in all it has a good price value ratio and I am certain that I will purchase it in future using all the availability options. This cleansing foam is, in my opinion, the best cleansing foam I have ever used until now and I recommend it to all those that search a good cleansing product for all skin types, especially greasy and enlarged pores complexions.

Valutazione personale: Innanzitutto devo dirti che per ogni lavaggio serve una piccolissima quantità di prodotto perché fa una schiuma abbondante. La schiuma è molto delicata, non lascia bruciore se finisce negli occhi (ovviamente consiglio di lavare il viso con gli occhi chiusi) e si lava via facilmente. Dopo aver usato questo prodotto, la pelle risulta visibilmente più pulita, levigata, rinfrescata e luminosa. La pelle risulta più tonica e i pori sono visibilmente ridotti. Al tatto, la pelle è morbida e soda. Anche se non secca la pelle come fanno molti altri prodotti detergenti, consiglio di continuare con la normale routine di cura della pelle, ovvero tonico, essenza o siero e la vostra solita crema viso. Ha una leggera fragranza molto delicata che potrebbe risultare quasi impercettibile e quindi credo che le persone che non amano usare prodotti profumati nella loro routine di cura della pelle possano utilizzarlo senza particolari problemi. Tutto sommato ha un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo e sono certa che lo acquisterò in futuro utilizzando tutte le opzioni disponibili. Questa schiuma detergente è, a mio parere, la migliore schiuma detergente che abbia mai usato finora e la consiglio a tutti coloro che cercano un buon prodotto detergente per tutti i tipi di pelle, in particolare per pelli grasse e con pori dilatati.

PRO: confezione adatta ai viaggi, buona schiuma e buon risultato di pulizia

CONTRO: nessuno

Conclusione: consiglio questo prodotto a tutte le persone che cercano ad un prezzo accessibile, una schiuma detergente molto buona, adatta a tutti i tipi di pelle, realizzata con preziosi estratti vegetali.

Le intermittenze della morte di José Saramago - recensione letteraria / Death with Interruptions by José Saramago - book review

 

Carissimi amici e lettori,

Oggi vorrei recensire un romanzo molto peculiare e intrigante. Si tratta del romanzo “Le intermittenze della morte” dell’autore portoghese vincitore del premio Nobel per la letteratura, Jose Saramago. Precedentemente avevo letto il suo romanzo Cecità ed ero rimasta profondamente sconvolta e impressionata della tematica trattata e della capacità dell’autore di trattare argomenti simili in un modo tanto fluido. Devo informarvi che nonostante fosse comunque insolita e particolare, la tematica di questo libro non si avvicina all’intensità degli argomenti trattati in Cecità. Anche il modo di redigere questo romanzo è diverso dalla struttura impiegata nella narrazione di cecità, essendo più semplice, con una sintassi quasi normale per quello che è lo stile di questo particolare autore.

La trama di questo romanzo vede come quadro generale una nazione non identificata dove all’improvviso la morte sparisce. Sparisce nel senso che si prende le ferie, prende dei mesi sabatici e non viene più a esercitare il suo dovere, cioè a far morire le persone. Inizialmente il popolo è euforico, vive questa specie d’immortalità come un premio meritato guardando con disprezzo quasi i paesi confinanti e non solo, dove la morte continua a fare il suo lavoro. Gli altri paesi invidiano questa situazione e nasce quasi un processo migratorio verso l’immortalità ma la gioia e l’invidia spariscono nel momento in cui compaiono i primi problemi. La natura di questi problemi spazia da questioni economiche, le aziende che vivevano grazie alla morte, le agenzie di pompe funebri, le compagnie di assicurazioni, che si vedono costrette a chiudere, a questioni governative, persone di terza età, pensionati, invalidi, quindi assistiti che aumentano mentre il numero di contribuenti rimane allo stesso livello, a questioni morali come la sofferenza di malati terminali per i quali la morte sarebbe stata una salvezza dal calvario che affrontano ai quali viene quindi negata la clemenza a questioni persino filosofiche come la credibilità della chiesa. Saramago descrive tutti questi fenomeni con una vena ironica, persino sarcastica, a tratti con fattezze di ammonimento, che delizia il lettore. La vena sarcastica si nota soprattutto quando la gente comincia a cercare soluzioni a queste problematiche, l’evento singolare che vede una famiglia migrare oltre il confine allo scopo di mettere fine alle sofferenze di un anziano terminale e un bambino sofferente oltre ogni salvezza, perché oltre il confine la morte arriva per coloro destinati ad andaresene, fa nascere nuove attività e nuovi affari. Cosi nascono aziende che trasportano per un certo compenso, le persone terminali oltre il confine e quando cominciano a sorgere problemi con i paesi confinanti che non desiderano diventare dei cimiteri, le aziende controllate da nientemeno che dalla maphia (volutamente ph) cominciano a fare accordi illeciti e quando diventa impossibile raggiungerli rincorrono a minacce e aggressioni.

Poi, dopo 7 mesi, la morte decide di rientrare e recuperare in un giorno solo tutti i casi arretrati. La vena ironica di Saramago attinge l’apice e questo punto perché escogita una tecnica degna del premio Nobel. Fa inviare alla morte, con una settimana di anticipo, una lettera viola a tutti coloro che devono morire. Tale lettera ha lo scopo di annunciare la fine della loro vita e dare alle persone l’occasione di sistemarsi le facende, congedarsi da amici e parenti, fare pace, chiedere perdono ma come potete immaginare, Saramago ha già individuato quale sarebbe l’esito di tale evento. Con un sarcasmo unico nella letteratura, descrive le baldorie più assurde, le azioni più insensate e le conseguenze più inaspettate scaturite dalla ricezione di tale missiva. E se una lettera invece viene rispedita al mittente? Come credete che la morte possa reagire ad un tale affronto? Beh, non intendo raccontarvi tutto il libro perché come ben sappiate, non mi piace fare spoiler ma vi invito a leggere questo romanzo perché oltre a rispecchiare e criticare con astuzia le pulsioni più spregevoli di cui l’umanità è capace, costruisce una rete di eventi che potrebbero generare una vastità considerevole di spiegazioni per tutti i momenti salienti di questo romanzo. Siete curiosi cosa successe il giorno in cui la morte riuscì finalmente a dormire? Beh, se lo siete, io ribadisco il mio invito a leggere questo romanzo, la narrazione è scorrevole e fluida nonostante l’autore usasse ancora la sua tecnica di abolire la punteggiatura (solo parzialmente in questo libro), i personaggi sono diversi, ben strutturati e utilizzati, la storia è arricchita di riflessioni e considerazioni con carattere esistenziale e filosofico destinate a enfatizzare l’aspetto teopoetico del fattore umano e l’autore delinea e spiega diversi concetti, fenomeni ed eventi destinati ad arricchire a livello culturale il lettore.

Concludo questa recensione con una frase piena di connotazioni su cui mi sono soffermata a lungo: “Morire e non mettersi a discutere se la morte era già nostra per nascita o se semplicemente stava passando da quelle parti e le è capitato di notarci.” pag. 80

Today I would like to review a very peculiar and intriguing novel. This is the novel "Death with Interruptions" by the Portuguese author, winner of the Nobel Prize for literature, Jose Saramago. Previously I had read his novel “Blindness” and I was deeply shocked and impressed by the topic and the author's ability to deal with similar topics in such a fluid way. I must inform you that although it was still unusual and particular, the theme of this book does not come close to the intensity of the topics covered in Blindness. The way of writing this novel is also different from the structure employed in the narration of blindness, being simpler, with an almost normal syntax for what the style of this particular author is.

The plot of this novel is placed in an unidentified nation where all of a sudden death disappears. It disappears like taking a vacation, taking a sabbath period and no longer coming to exercise its duty, that is to make people die. Initially, the people are euphoric, they experience this kind of immortality as a well-deserved prize, looking with contempt almost the neighboring countries and beyond, where death continues to do its job. Other countries envy this situation and almost a migratory process towards immortality is born but the joy and envy disappear when the first problems appear. The nature of these problems ranges from economic issues, companies that lived on death, like funeral homes, insurance companies, are forced to close, to government issues, elderly people, retirees, invalids, therefore assisted, who increase while the number of taxpayers remains at the same level, to moral issues such as the suffering of terminally ill patients for whom death would have been a salvation from the ordeal they face who are therefore denied clemency to even philosophical issues such as the credibility of the church. Saramago describes all these phenomena with an ironic, even sarcastic vein, at times with warning features, which delights the reader. The sarcastic vein is especially noticeable when people start looking for solutions to these problems, the singular event that sees a family migrate across the border in order to put an end to the suffering of a terminal elderly person and a child suffering without salvation, because beyond the borderline death comes for those destined to leave, it gives birth to new activities and new business. This is how companies are born that transport for a certain fee, terminal people across the border and when problems begin to arise with neighboring countries that do not wish to become cemeteries, companies controlled by none other than the maphia (deliberately ph) begin to make illegal deals and when it becomes impossible to reach them, they resort to threats and violence.

Then, after 7 months, the death decides to return and recover all the backward cases in just one day. Saramago's ironic vein reaches its climax at this point because he devises a technique worthy of the Nobel Prize. He has death send a purple letter, a week in advance, to all those who must die. This letter is intended to announce the end of their life and give people the opportunity to settle matters, take leave of friends and relatives, make peace, ask for forgiveness but as you can imagine, Saramago has already identified what would be the outcome of such event. With a sarcasm unique in literature, he describes the most absurd revelries, the most senseless actions and the most unexpected consequences resulting from the reception of this letter. What if a letter is returned to the sender instead? How do you think death can react to such an affront? Well, I don't intend to tell you the whole book because as you well know, I don't like to spoil but I invite you to read this novel because in addition to reflecting and cunningly criticizing the most despicable impulses of which humanity is capable, it builds a network of events which could generate a considerable magnitude of explanations for all the salient moments of this novel. Are you curious what happened the day death finally got to sleep? Well, if you are, I reiterate my invitation to read this novel, the narration is smooth and fluid despite the author still using his technique of abolishing punctuation (only partially in this book), the characters are different, well developed and employed, the story is enriched with reflections and considerations with an existential and philosophical character intended to emphasize the theopoetic aspect of the human factor and the author outlines and explains various concepts, phenomena and events intended to enrich the reader on a cultural level.

I conclude this review with a sentence full of connotations on which I have dwelled at length: "To die and not to argue if death was already ours by birth or if it was simply passing by and she happened to notice us." page 80

Carissimi amici, eccoci qui con un altro post sui prodotti finiti questo mese. Di recente ho condiviso questi post solo su Instagram ma siccome avrei più cose da condividere su questi prodotti, ho ritenuto che il blog fosse il posto adatto dove parlarne.

Vi sorprenderà che fra questi ci sia un prodotto generalmente usato per le pulizie, essendo questi post che riguardano i prodotti di cosmesi e cura del corpo ma il motivo per cui ci tenevo a parlarvi dello Sgrassatore Chanteclair è perché da anni lo uso con successo sui vestiti per togliere le macchie di grasso o macchie difficili. Non consiglio usarlo sulla seta o tessuti simili ma su tessuti come cottone, lana, viscosa, lino e sintetici come poliammide e acrilico, funziona alla grande. Io lo spruzzo sulle macchie mezz'ora prima di far partire la lavatrice, tempo in cui il prodotto agisce contro lo sporco che scompare definitivamente con un ciclo normale di lavaggio. So che esistono prodotti specifici per le macchie ma visto che in ogni casa non manca lo sgrassatore, io consiglio un buon sgrassatore come questo nella foto che usato anche a questo scopo, farà risparmiare dei bei soldi.

L'ultimo prodotto di questo post è il Bagno crema ai fiori di ciliegio del marchio francese U. Quando siamo stati in Francia l'anno scorso abbiamo fatto una piccola scorta di prodotti e siccome il marchio Coopérative U o Système U, una cooperativa francese simile al marchio Coop italiano, non ci ha mai delusi, abbiamo acquistato anche alcune creme doccia. Abbiamo finito il prodotto solo adesso perché le creme doccia le usiamo solo nei mesi freddi. Il profumo è molto piacevole, delicato e sofisticato allo stesso tempo, fa schiuma, si sciacqua bene, non appiccica e lascia una sensazione vellutata sulla pelle. Mi rendo conto che probabilmente questo prodotto non sia reperibile in Italia ma per coloro che hanno la possibilità di andare in Francia o di ordinare prodotti francesi, consiglio vivamente i prodotti di igiene e skin care di questo marchio e nello specifico, questo buonissimo bagno crema.

The last product in this post is the Cherry Blossom Bath Cream from the French brand U. When we were in France last year we stocked up on products and since the brand Coopérative U or Système U, a French cooperative similar to the Italian Coop brand, has never disappointed us, we also bought some shower creams. We have only finished the product now because we only use shower creams in the cold months.
