Oggi vorrei recensire il libro L'Alchimista di Paolo Coelho. Vi dico subito che non è uno dei miei libri preferiti e non penso che lo sarà mai. Il motivo è il forte carattere mistico di questo libro. Non ho mai creduto nel destino, nella magia o nelle cose predestinate. Non sono mai stata capace di credere in un succedersi di eventi preordinati o almeno non ho mai creduto che non abbiamo la possibilità di influenzare o cambiare in qualche modo quella che possa essere chiamata la nostra sorte. Ecco quindi perché questo libro non ha incontrato i miei gusti.
Ma veniamo al dunque, i personaggi principali di questo libro sono Santiago un giovane pastore, Melkinsedek il vecchio re di Salem e l’alchimista che alla fine aiuterà il giovane pastore a compiere il suo destino. Il giovane Santiago fa una scelta azzardata, rinuncia alle sue proprietà per andare a cercare un tesoro di qui non sa niente e questo viaggio lo porterà a scoprire l'anima del mondo, l'amore, il linguaggio universale, la pietra filosofale e imparerà così a parlare con il vento con il sole compiendo finalmente la sua leggenda personale. La linea centrale di questo libro è che bisogna sempre sapere cogliere i segni e ascoltare il nostro cuore. Nel suo viaggio Il giovane Santiago incontra diverse persone alcune vogliono aiutarlo altre invece cercano di approfittarsene della sua innocenza per derubarlo e imbrogliarlo.

frasi su qui penso che ci si debba riflettere, la prima e “se riuscirai a mantenerti
sempre nel presente, sarai un uomo felice”. Penso che con questa frase,
l'autore voglia dire che non bisogna vivere né di ricordi, o rimorsi e
rimpianti e neanche di progetti perché distolgono l’attenzione da quello che
succede in quel attimo e dalle piccole gioie quotidiane. La seconda frase è “il
male non è ciò che entra nella bocca di un uomo, il male e ciò che ne esce” ed
io sono perfettamente d'accordo con questa frase perché l'uomo con le sue
parole a volte decide la vita di una persona. Con questa frase penso che
l'autore voglia dire che dobbiamo pesare le nostre decisioni e soprattutto le
parole che escono dalla nostra bocca perché possono ferire, fare del male ad
altre persone, oppure, possono anche fare del bene.
Alla fine per me
questo è un libro commerciale, scritto per affascinare il lettore medio e
vendere. Non posso dire che questo libro mi abbia insegnato qualcosa e se mi
chiederete cosa penso io che sia un alchimista, beh, secondo me è una persona
che vive di rendita. Non mi sento in grado di consigliare questo libro a meno
che non siate alla ricerca di una lettura leggera da fare sulla spiaggia e
perché no, anche in un momento di crisi come questo. Se v’interessa ci sono
tanti altri scrittori portoghesi premiati con un immaginario e una scrittura
molto più creativa e interessante. Non penso che terrò il libro perché secondo
me non è insostituibile e non credo che avrò voglia di leggerlo di nuovo nel
futuro.

Today I would like to review the
book The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho. I tell you right away that it's not one of
my favorite books and I don't think it will ever be. The reason is the strong
mystical character of this book. I never believed in fate, magic or predestined
things. I have never been able to believe in a succession of preordained events
or at least I never believed that we can't have the possibility to influence or
change in some way what may be called our fate. So that's why this book didn't
meet my taste.
But let's get to the point, the
main characters of this book are Santiago a young shepherd, Melkinsedek the old
king of Salem and the alchemist who will eventually help the young shepherd to
fulfill his destiny. Young Santiago makes a risky choice, renounces his
properties to go looking for a treasure that he knows nothing of and this
journey will lead him to discover the soul of the world, the love, the
universal language, the philosopher's stone and he will learn in this way to
talk to the wind, to the sun, finally fulfilling his personal legend. The
central line of this book is that one must always know how to grasp the signs
and listen to one's heart. On his journey, young Santiago meets several people,
some want to help him, while others try to take advantage of his innocence in
order to rob and cheat him.
I found 2 phrases that I think we
should consider and meditate upon, the first one is: "if you can always
keep yourself in the present, you will be a happy man". I think that with
this sentence, the author wants to say that one must not live of memories, or
regrets and not even of projects because they divert attention from what
happens in that moment and from the small daily joys. The second phrase is
"evil is not what enters a man's mouth, evil and what comes out" and
I perfectly agree with this sentence because the man with his words sometimes
decides the life of a person. With this sentence I think the author wants to
say that we have to weigh our decisions and above all the words that come out
of our mouth because they can hurt other people or, they can also do good.
In the end for me this is a
commercial book, written to fascinate the average reader and sell. I can't say
that this book taught me something and if you ask me what I think an alchemist
is, well, in my opinion he is a person who lives on revenue. I don't feel able
to recommend this book unless you are looking for a light reading to do on the
beach and why not, even in a time of crisis like this one that we are living
right now. If you are interested there are many other renowned Portuguese
writers with a much more creative and interesting imagery and writing. I don't
think I will keep the book because in my opinion it is not irreplaceable and I
don't think I will want to read it again in the future.
