Mi rendo conto quanto fosse sorprendente e, strano... leggere prodotti finiti al mese di luglio, in un post di fine ottobre ma, ero rimasta indietro con questi post e non volevo rinunciare alla categoria e tematica di questi post.
I prodotti finiti a luglio sono: il Detergente Mani Sweet Jasmine del marchio Rituals, il Tonico Rinfrescante Age Perfect di L'Orèal, la Crema Mani Uva Preziosa di Bottega Verde e lo Scrub viso Fig Water del marchio The Beauty Depth.

I realize how surprising and strange it was to read about products finished in July in a post from late October, but I'd fallen behind on these posts and didn't want to give up on the category and theme of these posts.

The products finished in July are: Rituals' Sweet Jasmine Hand Cleanser, L'Oréal's Age Perfect Refreshing Toner, Bottega Verde's Precious Grape Hand Cream, and The Beauty Depth's Fig Water Facial Scrub.

Detergente Mani Sweet Jasmine di Rituals / Sweet Jasmine Hand Wash by Rituals

ITALIANO: prima di tutto, devo dire che questo prodotto è stato un omaggio, uno dei diversi omaggi che Rituals riserva alle sue clienti tesserate. Il prodotto è un lussuoso sapone mani liquido della Private Collection Floral, con una base di gelsomino, una nota di testa fruttata frizzante e vibrante di agrumi e frutti di bosco freschi completata da una fragranza di fiori eleganti come peonia e mughetto e una punta del calore e l'eleganza del legno di sandalo. La confezione è ricaricabile e Rituals mette a disposizione ricariche altrettanto fragranti. La confezione è molto elegante, facile da utilizzare e contiene 300 ml. In vendita il prodotto costa 12,90 e devo confessare, nonostante il detergente mi fosse piaciuto moltissimo, sia come profumazione, sia come texture e detergenza, trovo che il prezzo sia alto per un sapone mani e non lo comprerei a prezzo pieno. Detto ciò, credo che potrebbe costituire un regalo molto raffinato per una persona speciale. Se dovessi dare un voto, ovviamente soggettivo, gli darei un 7.

ENGLISH: first of all, I must say that this product was a gift, one of several gifts that Rituals reserves for its card-holding customers. The product is a luxurious liquid hand soap from the Private Floral Collection, with a base of jasmine, a sparkling and vibrant fruity top note of citrus and fresh berries complemented by a fragrance of elegant flowers such as peony and lily of the valley and a hint of the warmth and elegance of sandalwood. The bottle is refillable and Rituals offers equally fragrant refills. The packaging is very elegant, easy to use and contains 300 ml. On sale the product costs 12.90 and I must confess, although I really liked the cleanser, both in terms of scent, texture and cleansing power, I find the price high for a hand soap and I would not buy it at full price. That said, I think it could make a very refined gift for a special person. If I had to give it a rating, which is obviously subjective, I would give it a 7.

Tonico Rinfrescante Age Perfect L'Orèal / L'Orèal Age Perfect Refreshing Toner

ITALIANO: Ho usato diverse volte negli anni questo prodotto e sono sempre stata soddisfatta. Ha un INCI abbastanza buono ed i risultati sono visibili. Il tonico ha una formula rivitalizzante con magnesio e provitamina B5 che forniscono alla pelle matura sostanze preziose per la cura e dona quindi maggiore luminosità garantendo anche una freschezza extra ed un colorito uniforme. Nel mio caso, la sensazione di pelle morbida e fresca si è notata subito. Inoltre, è anche un prodotto molto versatile perché oltre a tonificare la pelle subito dopo la detersione e prima di applicare la crema, questo prodotto può essere utilizzato durante la giornata anche per rimuovere delicatamente sebo, sudore, polvere o sporco mantenedo l'idratazione e rinfrescando la carnagione. Costa intorno ai 4 e 5€ e la confezione contiene 200 ml e per il mio umile parere e viste le quantità considerevoli di tonico viso che io e mio marito usiamo nella nostra skin care, lo ritengo leggermente costoso e mi accontento di comprarlo 1 o 2 volte all'anno. Tutto sommato, considero che il rapporto qualità prezzo sia abbastanza buono.Se dovessi dare un voto, ovviamente soggettivo, gli darei un 8.

In my case, the feeling of soft and fresh skin was immediately noticeable. Furthermore, it's also a very versatile product because, in addition to toning the skin immediately after cleansing and before applying cream, this product can also be used throughout the day to gently remove sebum, sweat, dust, or dirt, maintaining hydration and refreshing the complexion. It costs around €4 or €5 and the bottle contains 200 ml. In my humble opinion, and given the considerable quantities of facial toner my husband and I use in our skincare routine, I find it a bit pricey and am happy with buying it once or twice a year. Overall, I think it's quite good value for money. If I had to give it a rating, which is obviously subjective, I would give it an 8. 

Crema Mani Uva Preziosa di Bottega Verde / Bottega Verde Precious Grape Hand Cream 

ITALIANO: Con una formula vegana realizzata con 97% ingredienti di origine naturale, questa crema per le mani particolarmente vellutata, restituisce immediata morbidezza e setosità alla pelle. La sua formula innovativa combina l'azione antiossidante potenziata dell'estratto iperfermentato di Uva rossa con l'attività emolliente, nutriente e protettiva di un mix selezionato di oli e burri vegetali come burro di Karitè, olio di canola e d'oliva. Ha una texture relativamente densa ma si assorbe facilmente senza ungere o lasciare scie bianche sgradevoli. La pelle rimane idratata a lungo, protetta da elementi che possono seccarla o lasciarla screpolata. Ha un profumo molto gradevole che dura qualche ora se nel frattempo non si lavano le mani. Non contiene oli minerali, siliconi o PEG. Io l'ho acquistata più volte sia per me, sia per fare dei regali. A prezzo pieno la crema costa 14€ ma io non l'ho mai pagata cosi tanto, il prezzo più alto che ho pagato è stato di 5€ e il alcuni casi addirittura 3,50, prezzi che ritengo ottimi. Al momento sul sito dell'azienda la crema è scontata di 42% e costa 7,99 € ma non pagherei nemmeno questa cifra. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo quando la crema è scontata intorno al 70% ma altrimenti aspetterei ad acquistarla. Voto soggettivo con gli sconti desiderati: 10.

Il punto forte di questo prodotto è il prezzo. L'ho acquistato in un negozio Action pagandolo meno di 1,50€. La lista degli ingredienti non è maluccia, contiene acqua di ficchi e di lavanda, la profumazione è accettabile e lo è anche la consistenza però non è abbastanza esfoliante. Lo potrei considerare un scrub delicato ed in tal caso da usare tutti i giorni ma onestamente non lo ricomprerei soprattutto perché sempre nei negozi Action è disponibile un altro scrub viso molto più efficace e di cui vi parlerò in futuro. Dello stesso brand trovo molto più soddisfacenti le maschere in foglio ma anche di esse, vi parlerò in futuro. Voto soggettivo: 5.

The strong point of this product is the price. I bought it in an Action store for less than €1.50. The list of ingredients isn't bad, it contains fig and lavender water, the scent is acceptable and so is the consistency, but it's not exfoliating enough. I could consider it a delicate scrub and in that case to be used every day, but honestly I wouldn't buy it again, especially because Action stores also have another much more effective facial scrub available, which I'll tell you about in the future. I find the sheet masks from the same brand much more satisfying, but I'll tell you about those too in the future. Subjective rating: 5.

Le aquile della notte di Alice Basso - recensione letteraria / The Eagles of the Night by Alice Basso - book review

 

Carissimi lettori,

Oggi ritorno con la recensione di un altro romanzo della scrittrice italiana Alice Basso, il quarto romanzo della saga poliziesca che ha come personaggio principale la dattilografa Anita Bo. Il titolo di questo romanzo è “Le Aquile della Notte” è l’avventura della signorina Bo e del suo capo, l’affascinante giornalista e scrittore Sebastiano Satta Ascona continua nel mese di ottobre e si avvicina sempre di più a quella che dovrebbe essere la fine della loro collaborazione.

Lo scenario di questo romanzo si sposta, Torino compare brevemente solo all’inizio e alla fine del romanzo in quanto i nostri personaggi sono in un certo modo “costretti” dal signor Sauro Bonatti, il futuro suocero di Sebastiano, ad abbandonare Torino per assistere alla vendemmia nella proprietà di Lupo Bonatti, fratello dell’appena menzionato capo del fascio. Lo scopo di questa trasferta è che Sebastiano si avvicini di più alla famiglia Bonatti, prendendo parte ad eventi che coinvolgano Mavi Bonatti, la fidanzata di Sebastiano, i suoi genitori e tutta la famiglia allargata, in modo che lui inizi a sentirsi parte della famiglia. Visto che Sebastiano ha un lavoro abbastanza impegnativo, Sauro Bonatti e Monné, il redattore di Saturnalia, concordano in una settimana di ferie nelle Langhe, dove metà giornata sarà dedicata alla vendemmia e l’altra metà alla traduzione e scrittura di articoli per Saturnalia. Siccome un giornalista a quei tempi non poteva mandare avanti da solo la rivista senza l’aiuto di una dattilografa, anche Anita viene coinvolta in questa “vacanza di lavoro”. Anita coglie subito la possibilità di andarci in modo da potersi prendere una pausa dalle preparazioni per l’imminente matrimonio con Corrado e dalla sua assillante madre.

Questo cambiamento porterà grandi cambiamenti nel rapporto fra i nostri personaggi principali ma non voglio aggiungere altro anche se, sicuramente capirete di quali cambiamenti si tratta una volta che arriverete alla descrizione della villa Fulva e della disposizione delle stanze degli invitati. Restando nella sfera nel lato rosa di questo romanzo, aggiungo anche che ci saranno nuovi pretendenti per l’affetto di Anita, si osserveranno nuove dinamiche fra gli altri personaggi, sia fra i loro amici più cari, sia fra i loro promessi sposi.

Per quanto riguarda l’aspetto giallo di questo romanzo, abbiamo un nuovo omicidio, abbiamo diversi sospetti e tantissime linee di investigazione da seguire. Nella nuova storia, i nostri personaggi incontreranno gruppi che si ribellano alla dittatura fascista e si faranno nuovi amici con cui condividere le passioni censurate dal regime. Non vorrei abbandonare questo argomento senza parlare dei ragionamenti, le considerazioni e le intuizioni che Alice Basso condivide attraverso i suoi personaggi. In questo senso trovo notevole la correlazione fra il crimine e la fragilità umana ed il modo in cui viene ignorata dal fascismo, la questione razzismo che sotto il fascismo diventa una “bonifica delle stirpi”, i tentacoli della censura fascista che coprono sempre più settori generando come contrappeso anche più modi di ribellione ed il cambiamento etico che affliggerà ogni individuo alla ricerca della giustizia e che finirà per accontentarsi del male minore o di lasciare impuniti i colpevoli purché vengano salvati degli innocenti. Alice Basso fa un lavoro eccelso, non solo nella ricerca del materiale che possa illustrare ed esemplificare i concetti espressi ma anche nel modo in cui usa i suoi personaggi per descrivere le situazioni. Visto che a questo punto parliamo del suo talento come scrittrice, vorrei menzionare anche la metafora vino e sangue che l’autrice usa per descrivere la sete di violenza e la fame di morte che alleggiano nelle menti e negli animi di diversi personaggi.

La narrazione è sempre molto fluida, i colpi di scena meglio preparati e celati rispetto al romanzo precedente il che ha reso questo romanzo molto più godibile ed apprezzabile. Detto ciò, consiglio questo romanzo a tutti coloro che cercano un buon thriller ed una più avvincente storia d’amore.

Today I return with a review of another novel by Italian author Alice Basso, the fourth in the detective series featuring typist Anita Bo. The title of this novel is "The Eagles of the Night," and it follows the adventures of Ms. Bo and her boss, the charming journalist and writer Sebastiano Satta Ascona continues through October and draws ever closer to what should be the end of their collaboration.

The setting of this novel shifts, Turin only briefly appearing at the beginning and end of the novel as our characters are somehow "forced" by Mr. Sauro Bonatti, Sebastiano's future father-in-law, to leave Turin to attend the grape harvest on the property of Lupo Bonatti, brother of the aforementioned Fascist leader. The purpose of this trip is for Sebastiano to become closer to the Bonatti family, taking part in events involving Mavi Bonatti, Sebastiano's fiancée, her parents, and the entire extended family, so that he begins to feel part of the family. Since Sebastiano has a fairly demanding job, Sauro Bonatti and Monné, the editor of Saturnalia, agree to a week's vacation in the Langhe, where half the day will be dedicated to the grape harvest and the other half to translating and writing articles for Saturnalia. Since a journalist at that time couldn't run the magazine alone without the help of a typist, Anita also becomes involved in this "working vacation." Anita immediately seizes the opportunity to go so she can take a break from preparing for her upcoming wedding to Corrado and from her nagging mother.

This change will bring major changes to the relationships between our main characters, but I don't want to say anything else, although you'll surely understand just how much change it involves once you get to the description of Villa Fulva and the layout of the guest rooms. Staying within the realm of the romance of this novel, I'll also add that there will be new suitors for Anita's affection, and new dynamics will emerge between the other characters, both their closest friends and their engaged spouses.

As for the detective story of this novel, we have a new murder, several suspects, and countless lines of investigation to pursue. In the new story, our characters will encounter groups rebelling against the fascist dictatorship and make new friends with whom they will share the passions censored by the regime. I wouldn't want to leave this topic without discussing the reasoning, considerations, and insights Alice Basso shares through her characters. In this sense, I find the correlation between crime and human frailty, and the way it is ignored by fascism, the issue of racism, which under fascism becomes a "cleansing of lineages," the tentacles of fascist censorship that increasingly cover more sectors, generating as a counterweight even more forms of rebellion, and the ethical shift that will afflict every individual seeking justice and who will end up settling for the lesser evil or leaving the guilty unpunished as long as innocents are saved, remarkable. Alice Basso does an excellent job, not only in finding material that can illustrate and exemplify the concepts expressed, but also in the way she uses her characters to describe situations. Since we're now discussing her talent as a writer, I'd also like to mention the metaphor of "blood and wine" that the author uses to describe the thirst for violence and hunger for death that linger in the minds and souls of several characters.

The narrative is consistently fluid, and the twists are better prepared and hidden than in the previous novel, which made this novel much more enjoyable and appreciable. That being said, I recommend this novel to anyone looking for a good thriller and a more compelling love story.

Today I will review the last product from the latest Elizavecca order. It is another hair care product and must say from the beginning that I am very pleased and enthousiastic about this product. It is the Hair Muscle Essence Oil CER-100 and as you may guess already from the denomination, it is a hair oil. What is the difference between this product and the hair essence I previously reviewed you might ask? Well, while the essence was rich in vegetal collagen (hydrolyzed proteins) and had some precious essential oils in its formula, this product does not contain collagen but is rich in many more nutritious oils. I don’t need to remind you that even if I was gifted this product, my review is an objective one, relatable to my personal experience while using this product.

Information from the producer: Elizavecca Cer-100 Hair Muscle Essence Oil for damaged hair contains several natural conditioning oils such as macadamia oil rich in oleic and palmitoleic acids, argan oil containing high doses of vitamin E, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, evening primrose oil and annatto seed oil with high hydrating, antioxidant and regenerating properties. Its special formula hydrates hair and gives it shine, keeping it soft, healthy and smooth while preventing static and hair breakage. It has a light composition, absorbs easily, is non-greasy and does not weigh down and the result is soft, healthy and smooth hair.

Packaging: transparent plastic tube equipped with a pump to dispense the product easily and containing 100 ml (3.38 fl. oz.) of product

How to use: after shampooing, apply to towel-dried hair, especially on the ends and dry, damaged areas. Do not rinse.

Personal evaluation: The first thing I noticed about this product is its pleasant floral fragrance and the light consistency. I take something like 2 or 3 drops, I massage them on the palms of my hands and run my fingers over the tips and ends of the lengths. I blow dried my hair and styled it straight with the help of a hairbrush. Didn’t get to do it yet and probably will never style it with a hair straightener because it overcomes my physical possibilities at the moment but given my past experience when using hair straighteners, the hair becomes even more shining in such situations. Anyways, just using a circular hairbrush to blow dry my hair after applying this oil, the hair becomes soft, sleek, silky and has a natural and intense shine. It doesn't weigh down hair or make it greasy when used as directed. Using this oil has increased hydration, shine, softness, and manageability, fulfilling all my expectations for this type of product. I am aware that it also contains silicones and mineral oils but most of these oils do and the results and the very good quality price ratio compensate that aspect.

PROS: contains precious oils, easy to store and apply, travel friendly, very good value for the money, great results as regards combability and shine of the hair, lovely fragrance

CONS: also contains silicones and mineral oils

Conclusion: I recommend this oil to persons that look for a product that facilitates combing and smooth hair styling while moisturizing, nourishing and ensuring hair has a healthy shine.

Oggi recensirò l'ultimo prodotto del più recente ordine di Elizavecca. Si tratta di un altro prodotto per la cura dei capelli e devo dire fin dall'inizio che sono molto soddisfatta ed entusiasta di questo prodotto. Si tratta dell'Hair Muscle Essence Oil CER-100 e, come potrete già intuire dalla denominazione, è un olio per capelli. Qual è la differenza tra questo prodotto e l'essenza per capelli che ho recensito in precedenza, potreste chiedervi? Beh, mentre l'essenza era ricca di collagene vegetale (proteine ​​idrolizzate) e conteneva alcuni preziosi oli essenziali nella sua formula, questo prodotto non contiene collagene ma è ricco di molti altri oli nutrienti. Non c'è bisogno di ricordarvi che, anche se mi è stato regalato questo prodotto, la mia recensione è oggettiva, basata sulla mia esperienza personale durante l'utilizzo di questo prodotto.

Valutazione personale: La prima cosa che ho notato di questo prodotto è la sua piacevole fragranza floreale e la consistenza leggera. Prendo circa 2 o 3 gocce, le massaggio sui palmi delle mani e passo le dita sulle punte e sulle estremità delle lunghezze. Ho asciugato i capelli con il phon e li ho lisciati con l'aiuto di una spazzola. Non ho ancora avuto modo di acconciarli con una piastra e probabilmente non lo farò mai perché al momento supera le mie possibilità fisiche, ma data la mia passata esperienza con l’uso della piastra, i capelli diventano ancora più lucenti in tali situazioni. Comunque, semplicemente usando una spazzola circolare per asciugarmi i capelli dopo aver applicato questo olio, i capelli diventano morbidi, lisci, setosi e hanno una lucentezza naturale e intensa. Non appesantisce i capelli né li rende unti se usato come indicato. L'uso di questo olio ha aumentato l'idratazione, la lucentezza, la morbidezza e la pettinabilità, soddisfacendo tutte le mie aspettative per questo tipo di prodotto. So che contiene anche siliconi e oli minerali, ma la maggior parte di questi prodotti li contengono e i risultati e l'ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo compensano questo aspetto.

PRO: contiene oli preziosi, facile da conservare e applicare, adatto ai viaggi, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, ottimi risultati in termini di pettinabilità e lucentezza dei capelli, fragranza molto piacevole.

CONTRO: contiene anche siliconi e oli minerali

Conclusione: consiglio questo olio a chi cerca un prodotto che faciliti la pettinatura e la lisciatura dei capelli, idratandoli, nutrendoli e garantendo loro una sana lucentezza.
