ENG: Today, when I woke up, I resumed leafing through a book that I had read many times and several years ago. Charles Baudelaire is one of my favorite poets and I have enjoyed reading him since I was a teenager. The last time I picked up "The flowers of evil" I was in a very beautiful and peaceful moment of my life and rereading his poems full of emotions, images, sounds, made me relive and remember those moments with ecstatic joy. Beautiful books and beautiful poems are like good wine, like quiet evenings spent near a crackling fireplace, like the taste of an exotic fruit savoured for the first time or the sound of a rare instrument, because they remain engraved in the memory forever and every time they come back to mind, they do it with more vigor, with more intensity as if they wanted to stay there forever.
IT: Anche a voi piace rileggere certi libri?
ENG: Do you also like to reread certain books? How do you feel when you resume turning over old pages? By reading those words again, do you also relive the moments when you first read them?

Nice said!
DeleteBeautiful post dear. Love to read in general, but older books have a cartain smell and feel, like you can travel back in time while you read them. xoxo
