Cari amici e lettori,
Purtroppo siccome la pausa dovuta alle fratture alla mano e al polso si deve protrarre (non mi sono mai fratturata niente nella mia vita perciò non avevo idea cosa comportasse o quanto durasse) ho deciso di non aspettare più e fare dei post più piccoli con l'aiuto del mio smartphone. Il fatto che ho fatto parecchia pratica a digitare con la sinistra, aiuta molto.

Dear friends and readers,
Unfortunately, since the break due to the fractures in my hand and wrist has to be prolonged (I have never broken anything in my life so I had no idea what it entailed or how long it would last) I decided not to wait any longer and make smaller posts with the help of my smartphone. The fact that I have had a lot of practice typing with my left hand helps a lot.
Perciò, riprendo da dove sono rimasta due mesi fa, cioè le cose belle del mese di giugno. Condividerò quindi con voi la seconda tappa delle mie vacanze, cioè il tempo passato in Slovenia e la piccola incursione in Austria. Slovenia è un paese che adoro molto e quindi ero molto entusiasta di visitare Ljubljana, la sua capitale e il lago Bled, una delle mete turistiche più ambite. Mentre Ljubljana mi ha lasciato un'impressione molto positiva grazie alla sua storia molto ricca e affascinante, ai suoi monumenti molto ben curati, all'architettura varia e ricercata, all'ordine, alla pulizia, alle agevolazioni per le persone disabili, il lago Bled mi ha profondamente deluso. Non intendo dire che non fosse un bel lago perché lo è ma di questo tipo di laghi, il mondo e soprattutto l'Italia, ne sono pieni ma il fatto che non si è fatto niente per renderlo accessibile ai disabili, mi ha profondamente disturbato. Niente parcheggi per disabili (un unico piccolo parcheggio nella zona con la miglior vista), niente rampe per entrare nei locali, barriere architettoniche a tutto spano e potrei andare avanti cosi ma finirei per annoiarvi ma credo che la cosa più importante è che tranne per il lago, non c'è molto che possa piacere ai turisti. Vegetazione non curata, viali sterrati e pieni di biciclette che rendevano difficile le passeggiate a piedi, locali sciatti con decorazioni in plastica e tantissimi altri difetti che mi fecero pensare che Bled era decisamente una meta turistica sopravvalutata.

So, I'll pick up where I left off two months ago, that is, the beautiful things about the month of June. I'll share with you the second part of my vacation, that is, the time spent in Slovenia and the little foray into Austria. Slovenia is a country that I love very much and so I was very excited to visit Ljubljana, its capital and Lake Bled, one of the most popular tourist destinations. While Ljubljana left a very positive impression on me thanks to its very rich and fascinating history, its very well-kept monuments, its varied and refined architecture, its order, cleanliness, and facilities for disabled people, Lake Bled deeply disappointed me. I don't mean to say that it wasn't a beautiful lake because it is, but this type of lake is full of them in the world and especially in Italy, but the fact that nothing has been done to make it accessible to disabled people, deeply disturbed me. No disabled parking (only one small normal parking lot in the area with the best view), no ramps to enter the premises, architectural barriers everywhere and I could go on like this but I would end up boring you but I think the most important thing is that except for the lake, there is not much that could please tourists. Unkempt vegetation, small paths full of bicycles that made walking difficult, sloppy premises with plastic decorations and many other defects that made me think that Bled was definitely an overrated tourist destination.

Durante il nostro breve soggiorno in Slovenia, abbiamo fatto una piccola incursione in Austria per visitare Graz, la seconda più grande città in Austria. La città è bellissima ed è ricca di monumenti che rispecchiano la storia di questo paese come il Landhaus, la chiesa Mariahilfkirche o la torre Uhrturm ma anche in creazioni moderne e all'avanguardia come l'isola artificiale Murinsel.

During our short stay in Slovenia, we made a small excursion to Austria to visit Graz, the second largest city in Austria. The city is beautiful and full of monuments that reflect the history of this country such as the Landhaus, the Mariahilfkirche church or the Uhrturm tower but also in modern and avant-garde creations such as the artificial island Murinsel.
