Autunno

Più che ogni altra stagione, l'autunno ispira e attrae l'uomo. Lo avvertiamo nei racconti, lo viviamo nelle poesie, lo vediamo nei quadri più famosi e persino nelle fotografie. Non a caso è proprio la stagione quando il freddo s'insinua di soppiatto, la natura muore, le foglie appasiscono e il cielo diventa piombo che l'uomo usa i colori più accesi e infuocati per dipingerla, le spezie più intense ei profumi più appetitosi per arricchire i suoi raccolti e apre tutte le persiane per accogliere la luce del giorno. Non è affatto un caso ma è il nostro bisogno di calore e comforto che ci fa dipingere un camino scoppiettante, catturare e immortalare distese sconfinate e tappeti di foglie morte, sorprendere e manipolare la luce, parlare con note musicali e vestirci di soffice e morbido. E nonostante l'autunno fosse già bello di suo, noi abbiamo bisogno di correggere le piccole imperfezioni, esaltare i suoi colori ed accentuare ogni suo elemento e lo facciamo solo per un'altra stagione. Forse la transizione ci inquieta, forse facciamo fatica separarci dalla stagione appena passata o siamo impazienti ad accogliere quella successiva ma sta di fatto che l'autunno è la stagione dove l'imponta dell'uomo è inevocabile e immancabile.

More than any other season, autumn inspires and attracts humans. We feel it in stories, we experience it in poems, we see it in the most famous paintings and even in photographs. It is no coincidence that it is precisely the season when the cold slowly slide in, nature dies, the leaves wither and the sky turns lead that man uses the brightest and fiery colors to paint it, the most intense spices and the most appetizing scents to enrich his crops and opens all the shutters to welcome the light of day. It is not a coincidence at all but it is our need for warmth and comfort that makes us paint a crackling fireplace, capture and immortalize boundless expanses and carpets of dead leaves, surprise and manipulate the light, speak with musical notes and dress fluffy and soft. And although autumn was already beautiful in its own right, we need to correct the small imperfections, enhance its colors and accentuate every element and we only do it for one other season. Perhaps the transition disturbs us, perhaps we find it difficult to separate ourselves from the season that has just passed or we are impatient to welcome the next one but the fact is that autumn is the season where the imprint of man is unavoidable and unfailing.
